Absolutely amazing! Me and the wife had a great time rafting and looking at all the scenery in the gorge. Austin was our tour guide and was extremely professional explaining what all to expect while having great conversation with tons of humor too!… lol. He made my wife comfortable as she was a little scared of rapids and such. It was easy to say we were in good hands! We definitely recommend Arkansas River Tours and just ask for Austin! Thanks so much buddy! Will be coming back soon!

Did a three day guided trip with my son. The great people make this business amazing. Our guide was Taylor, and she went above and beyond with everything that she did. We camped at their Cotopaxi site. Picture perfect. Food was delicious and they did a good job of working around my food allergies. Use this company and book your rafting trip, and if you can, ask for Taylor to be your guide.

We had an awesome day whitewater rafting the Arkansas River with the folks of Arkansas River Tours. Austin did an outstanding job of making sure we knew all we need to have a safe an enjoyable trip, as well as keep us laughing so we were not so nervous about the day ahead of us. Our river guide, Allie was a supreme professional as she showed us all the moves we would need to successfully navigate the “big water” and she steered us safely and confidently and allowing us the thrill of the rapids and paddling through them. It was an amazing day. Thank you ART. I would highly recommend these people for your Arkansas River experience!

Arkansas River Tours was spectacular. We did the Gorge 1/2 day and it was perfect for our first time. Ally was an amazing guide and a skilled rafter. She did a superb job navigating the waves and rocks. Thank you for making our first experience a memorial moment.

Started out adventure being greater by a very kind and helpful lady in the shop. We were a bit early so we sat by the river, beautiful. Then Danny got everyone their safety gear followed by informative safety talk. Then the trip started. He pointed out wild life did very well engaging everyone on the raft. He was funny and kind. Hope to do this again next year. Truly a family friendly trip.

What a day!
We set off on the Royal Gorge trip with Austin as our guide. We had rafted before in Alaska and Northern Colorado- but this was our first time here and our teen boys’ first time white water rafting ever.
All of the staff were super professional and Austin was a great instructor, Coach, and cheerleader.

We learned a ton about the river, the area and even some of the wildlife.
The scenery was stunning.

We were safe and well trained, for midwestern rookies.

It was a super day- capped off by lunch at Austin’s Rec- Big Burger World.

Had a blast at Arkansas River Tours and our guide Kristina was the best!! Everyone was very nice and professional and fun and friendly. Did the intermediate my first time and was perfect mix of some fun challenging spots and a few relaxing stretches. Great first time experience will def be going back on future trips and looking forward to stepping it up a notch and trying the next challenging level. Highly recommend and don’t forget to ask for Kristina!

It was a five star experience!! Thanks to our guide Allie she made it super easy. She was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the route and its history. We did the all day tour through Big Horn and Royal Gorge. Nobody fell out of the boat or even felt like they were going to. Great ride!! Thanks Allie and ART!

After the frank safety talk, I had some butterflies going on. Once we gathered with our raft guide, Taylor, she explained how to paddle and follow her calls. She was articulate with the instructions and it paid off! We had the best trip down Big Horn. Taylor’s confidence and excellent communication made it so fun. We were so relaxed and left feeling like we could go to the next level of rapids. We had family members on a different raft in our group. They said their guide Simon was equally informative and they felt safe and had a lot of fun with him! We will come back to ART for our next river experience!!!

Amazing day on the Arkansas! Chris was amazing and we got into quite a few beautiful fish! It was quality and quantity.

We ended our Colorado vacation with a half day trip with Arkansas River Tours and Jesus our float guide. What an awesome time we had floating the Royal Gorge. The staff was professional and helpful for our group, most of whom had never floated before. Jesus was a fun, energetic, and knowledgeable leader for our group. Would highly recommend this company and our float leader.

Great experience. First time white water rafting and we went all in on the advanced all day trip.
Nice lodge with tons of parking, wetsuits, helmets, and other gear available. All the guides were professional, experience and knowledgeable, especially Ron Jon our guide. Nice new equipment, the guides made sure to stick in a group in the most dangerous parts of the river to be able to help each other in case someone fell out of their boat.

Would totally go again with ART next time I am in Cañon City!

We had the BEST time!!!! Alli was our guide! Her vibe is awesome, she has a love for the river, and I felt safe being under her guidance! We did the full day float which I recommend as it gives you time to acclimate to the river before you get to the fun stuff!!!! Do the fun stuff!!! I was super impressed with the lunch offered (I'm kinda a food snob) but it was a nice spread! We were 1st timers and I would definitely go again! Get the picture package!

Our tour was great! Nate made sure we all had a wonderful time and was very friendly! Every employee we encountered was wonderful and we will definitely be back! We did the Royal Gorge tour and it was totally worth it!

Austin was a fantastic guide. For some of the family it was our first rafting experience. Austin taught us what to do and how to do it. We were on the water in no time. Our three kids (10, 12 & 13) had an absolute blast. This is the perfect family trip if it’s your first or second time rafting and you’re a little apprehensive and you should request Austin as your guide. Austin also recommended the best burger place in town too! You’ll have to ask him, we went there for some of the best burgers we’ve ever eaten!

We had such a blast white water rafting with Arkansas River Tours! Their team is truly amazing and make you feel so comfortable out there on those crazy waters! Our guide Michael was awesome and helped us have the best experience rafting! I could not recommend a better place to go! So so so fun!!!

What an awesome time on the Arkansas today!! Our guide Ron Jon was a badass and made the trip even better. He explained everything really well and made all of the instructions simple and easy to follow. And he took us through all the best spots on the river. The ART crew were accommodating and I will definitely recommend them in the future. Thanks for a great trip, guys!!

We chose the Family Float because our three kids ages 11, 9 and 5 were first time rafters. This trip did NOT disappoint! While there was floating, there were also class II rapids that thrilled our whole group! We soon learned that the adults and two older kids would get to paddle as well! Our guide Rafe was friendly and patient…highly recommend him!

When you first get there, you check in and can use the changing tent to get into your water-friendly clothes. Yes, you will definitely get wet! They will give you a helmet and PFD. You’ll ride in a bus to the put-in. Then it’s time to get on the water and learn some paddling techniques! Bring water and be sure to put on some sunscreen!

great trip down the Arkansas River with Arkansas River Tours. It was five of us. Austin (sometimes known as Dallas--long story) was entertaining, kept us involved and safe. Beautiful day. I've been on several trips with Arkansas River Tours and they are always excellent.

My family had a great time rafting with ART. Ron Jon was the best guide, very fun guy and he did great with our kids. The kids said the rafting was their favorite part of our trip. Definitely prefer rafting with these guys over the huge groups at other places.
