Old Mission Mexican Restaurant

We came here after a great but long day at Royal Gorge. The food was good and the atmosphere/ service was great! Our waitress was very nice and helpful with the kids. Very comfortable! I had the chimichanga with the beans, rice and potatoes and it was delicious! I would eat here again for sure, I highly recommend it! You won’t be disappointed!

We came in and every seat was taken, however they acknowledged us and kept letting us know it would be a minute.
Only took a minute then they had a table ready.
And in less than 10 minutes our food was ready, hot fresh and tasty.
Even it being a completely full house.
Excellent!!!

This Southeast Texas Girl is picky when it comes to her Mexican food and quite often left disappointed, but this place did not disappoint. The service was outstanding, and our meal was excellent. Thank you.

My Fiance' Paul and I had a Wonderful time. Food was good, service was on point, and the atmosphere was good as well. It was his birthday, and we enjoyed it.❤🤗🐒🐞🐒🤗❤They gave him an extra gift, a huge sugar cookie (cake) for his birthday, a surprise. Very unexpected, and our waitress was Very nice as well. I grew up on Tex mex. so chili con carne is still my favorite but this place is solid. They have good chips & salsa. I always get the red enchiladas (1 beef, 1 cheese) with red chili rice and beans and a taco. My husband often will do the daily special; the food is always excellent! The iced tea is fresh brewed and strong and perfect! The wait staff are polite and professional. The place is always clean. Even when it’s super busy they are fast! If you are traveling this is a perfect place to try some red enchiladas!

Food is great, very good margaritas, waitress is tops- prompt and courteous. Would highly recommend as this is our second trip here.
Our 3rd trip here while staying in the area. Our dinner entrees were spot on as was our waiter. Food was perfectly prepared. Thanks again to the staff in their entirety for surviving the Covid days.

Very authentic Mexican. Food was seasoned like home cooking. The special house dishes had unique sides like fried potatoes, vermilion (pasta with tomato cinnamon sauce) and a Mexican corn side (with onions, squash, and zucchini). It was absolutely delicious. The waitress Dria was spot on with her recommendations and service. I just love this place. I will be back

Omg, some of the absolute best mexican food I have ever had. My favorite is the mesquite tacos. Wonderful service, great atmosphere, have had family gatherings there, business meetings, just a fantastic place.

I remember when it was a deli but loved the food . The service is excellent. You can't go wrong with El Borrito.

When I entered the door I was greeted with a smile and selected to sit in a booth. I ordered a chile relleno/ tamale combination plate, hot and green. Both had excellent flavor with two authentic texture.

Loved the food. Coming from CA, we're used to really good Mexican food and this was just as good. Wait staff was very friendly and knew our relatives by name. I was impressed!

Great food. We live in Oregon and come to Colorado to visit family. We always make a special trip to have dinner at Old Mission Mexican restaurant. Everything is amazing. Wish I lived closer. Love there green Verde sauce. It's hot and spicy.

They have the best Mexican food in Canon City, staff are friendly and very polite. There green chili, salsa and Margaritas are the "bomb".

I come to eat here fairly often because they have amazing food. Quite spicy if you like that type of Mexican food. I consider it one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. There are two I consider the best and they are equal quality. Every month I come and order several pints of green chili to take home. It's the best chili I've ever found and is so hot it's almost painful to eat and that's how I like it. I highly recommend this restaurant. I've known the owner since he first opened up and he is an awesome person

Amazing food and daily specials! The platters, specials and customer service is amazing. Absolutely love this place and would recommend it to everyone. The service was quick, the waitresses friendly and the food was impeccable. Will be back again!

So glad we listened to a local on trying this place. The parking lot was full and they had wonderful staff (Mariah & Mary). The baja chicken taco was amazing!! We also recommend the enchiladas a la crema, chicken fajitas, and margaritas:)

This is not your ordinary mexican restaurant. The moment you taste the salsa you'll know. My dad is from Texas, so convincing him to come to a Mexican restaurant in Colorado is no easy task. We initially came for margs (happy hour 2-6pm daily), but stayed for the food and hospitality. Highly recommend the mesquite chicken tacos, green chili salsa (!!!!), and carne asada steak. Also recommend sitting at the bar for 5 star service. Tiffany and Mariah are the bomb dot com. Cannot recommend a better place in Cañon City. 10/10!!

The food was excellent. It was a busy Saturday but the food was delivered quickly. Our server Mariah was incredible. She was very friendly, helpful and had a great grasp of the menu. She made the visit extra special and she should get a raise! They had a great Christmas music selection that was not too loud. And I appreciate the fact the TV volume was not turned up so the games on were not a distraction. We will definitely be coming back! ❤
