Tamarack Country House Bed and Breakfast - and Event Center

During our stay at Tamarack Country House Bed & Breakfast, my wife, son, and I had a truly exceptional experience. We were accommodated in the Westview Room, a cozy and charming space that added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. The owners, Fred and J, are exceptional hosts who radiate warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.

The breakfast experience at Tamarack Country House was a highlight of our stay. It felt like dining in a high-end restaurant, with generous portions and flavors that were a pure culinary delight. Each meal was prepared with precision and love, setting the perfect tone for our day.

Our room, the Westview Room, was a comfortable haven, meticulously clean and adorned with charming farmhouse-style decor. The ambiance was soothing, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. Waking up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and stepping out to witness the beautiful surrounding scenery added an extra layer of relaxation to our mornings.

Speaking of breakfast, the homemade apple and orange juices were a delightful addition that highlighted the owners' commitment to providing a unique and personal experience. They perfectly complemented the picturesque setting.

This was a delightful stay for our family of 4! The Red Cedar Room fit us comfortably even with a porch for some additional privacy. Kid friendly, delicious breakfast, and a beautiful space to walk, rest, and enjoy the property.

Spent a couple nights in the Red Cedar Room. The owners know some of local fishing spots, and there are some really cool birds in the area. Good breakfast. :-)

Definitely recommend.

Sleeping accommodations are spacious, clean, and so, so comfortable. Breakfast was the most delicious cheesy egg casserole along with the most moist, cake-like berry muffins I’ve ever had. The home is a one-of-a-kind place, much of it built or remodeled by the current owners to fit their vision. They have two sweet pups, one of which will use you to sneak outside every chance he gets! Since he’s you’re new best friend, you’ll likely have to be the one who gets him because he won’t come to anyone else. What a hoot! The gardens around the house are spectacular and the walk to the lake is phenomenal. Raspberries were in season when I visited and they were everywhere just waiting to get in my mouth! Yum! I stayed in the master king-sized suite. It was wonderful, but in the near future they’ll have a new room ready to accommodate families with children. Children will love the pups, gardens, lake, and endless raspberry bushes. The owners were quite content staying to themselves, but were also happy to open up and show us the place by request. You can tell they love what they do. Will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I love staying here! We've been guests several times and we are always so welcomed. The owners Fred and 'J' go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and unforgettable. The property is a gem with lots of history and charm. It's so cozy in the winter and convenient for nearby lakes and hiking in the summer. The food is amazing and they even inquire about any dietary preferences. I'm vegan and gluten free and they make the best breakfasts and treats to accommodate! It's great to have that kind of hospitality in the north woods. We will continue to go back! Thanks for being wonderful hosts! :)
