Tagalong Golf & Resort

Tagalong was a great resort to spend the weekend out for my buddies wedding. We really enjoyed the spacious rooms, the dogs, and the more than welcoming staff that made us feel like we were at home, even though we were actually quite far away from home.

Excellent place to stay. Clean. Tastefully decorated. Comfortable. Excellent guides.

This is an interesting and awesome place. I met a lot of awesome people and had a really good time. Normally I wouldn't do a review until after an experience but we here for my brother's bachelor party and we are all having a blast. Everyone I have met here has been very respectful and accommodating and between the staff, the locals, and the vacationers I have met some very cool people.

We went for the music they have on Sunday afternoons. The drinks were good and the music was fun!

Tagalong is a really fun golf course. The first few holes are wide open. Nearly every hole has unique green complexes in that they are raised with DEEP grass bunkers on most sides on nearly every hole. Precise irons are needed.

After the opening holes, the course starts getting tougher where you need a lot of local knowledge to know what lines to hit. We played 36 and I’m still confused which club and which line I should have taken on a few holes. It is a fun course if you like to think your way around. Definitely worth the price and the trip. I’ll be back and, hopefully, score a bit better now that I know how to play a couple of the holes. Have fun!

Went here for a Valentine's getaway so obviously didn't get to play the course but the room was clean, the place was gorgeous and the staff went above and beyond to help with my surprise to my girlfriend. The price was extremely fair for how nice this place is. We can't wait to come back in the summer!

Great day of golf, front 9 is 100 years old, so I love the history of it, back nine is a bit challenging. Par 71 course and in very good condition. 👍

This was a nice course with a great clubhouse. The front 9 was a little more open and not as long where the back had some more covered and blind shots to be more challenging. There was only some sand but there were plenty of grass bunkers and elevated fast rolling greens in great shape that made the play challenging. It was nice to see a course like this in the northwoods. Only slight thing I wouldve liked to see is better carts for a resort course....but the rates were reasonable yet. The gadgets used to get the ball out of the cup instead of using the noodle filler or inserts was great. Definitely worth the play.

Super fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon at the Pumphouse outdoor pub. Entertainment appropriate for all ages. Only regret is I didn't try the bucket drink with the rubber ducky!

Owner came out onto the course and talked with my group. At no other course have I had this happen. Well kept course, friendly staff. A awesome time playing golf. Definitely will play again.

Rooms/condos absolutely amazing with beautiful views all around! Staff was very nice n helpful! Really enjoyed the restaurant/bar Cheers, bartender was super friendly and the Bloody Mary's were perfect!

We have stayed here many times. Unit 304 is so nice and cozy. It really feels like a getaway, peaceful, great places to walk, pool, hot tub, golf course, nice restaurant. Highly recommended.

All around a really cool place! Gorgeous golf course with carts available, indoor pool and hot tub, restaurant and bar....and the lake is also great! Could definitely spend a whole weekend here or just good for a day getaway!

Great place, even when busy. Food is much improved over former restaurant. Wait staff attentive, bar staff make sure you get a cool one.

Beautiful Scottish style course designed after St. Andrew's, with deep grass bunkers protecting the large undulating greens. Views of Red Cedar Lake from many areas throughout the course.

Grew up golfing here in the early 2000s and even through new ownership it still feels like going back home. Wonderfully unique links style course, not many like it around here.
