I called around after getting quite a few quotes for replacement of my turbo that seemed high to me. The guys at Lakewood Five Star(O.T. being the point person I dealt with) quoted me a reasonable price on the repair. In the process of doing the work he also noted and fixed some leaks that I new about(and failed to mention). They also noticed the coolant reservoir needed to be replaced and asked me if it was okay to fix. They really went above, and, beyond. The repairs made a big difference in performance. Much of the time I do feel like I am being taken advantage of in the world of auto repair because I'm a woman...but NOT the case here. Everything that was done was done because I neglected doing it prior. To top it all of it was done for a lower price than any of the competition quoted me and with a one year warranty.

This place is honest and very professional. Five Star took the time a day before Christmas to check out my broke down vehicle. They gave me an honest and fair evolution of the work needed to be done. I highly recommend this auto shop! Good guys all around.

Found my new shop in Colorado! I live in the mountains and will be bringing all my cars here. 100% worth the drive or tow. O.T. the owner, is an awesome guy and genuinely cares about each individual job. Top of the line work for a good price is hard to find but it's here! Customer service is great, they will tell it like it is, no sugar coating which is very important when it comes to mechanics! You won't ever over pay here or pay for anything unnecessary. After coming here for a second opinion on my Ram 1500, I was sold. James and OT run an honest and fair shop. I needed over $3000 of repairs done on my truck and Im glad i went with 5star in the end. When I picked up my truck, OT even showed me the busted parts and explained the complexity of the repairs. Very satisfied

OT has taken care of my Jeep Wrangler for years. Always does his best to take care of the customer and the care. Brought my car to my new mechanic in D.C. who said "everything is tight, this is the best install I have ever seen." Thank you for all the work! There is a reason he has such great reviews!

OT is awesome! He fixed our Envoy and the check engine light never came back on. We took it to 3 other places had work done on it and the light kept coming back. He is very personable and actually shows the true meaning of a non corporate shop. Prices are great and he has our loyalty. After doing a fabulous job on our personal vehicle we also now take our company vehicle there as well. Looking forward to bringing more family and friends to his shop for business instead of having them ripped off by other shops. Would I recommend this establishment? Heck yes 100% without a doubt.

They were very helpful from the phone call, all the way to me leaving the lot in my car. They got me an appointment fast and had me back on the road in a day, and I had a good amount of work that needed to be done. I never felt pressured into anything, and the guys I met all seemed really nice. I'm definitely gonna be taking my jeep in for all of its repairs in the future.

After encountering a strange problem in our Jeep Grand Cherokee late one night on a drive, the owner of this shop was able to get us in there to fix the problem the very next morning. He told us that we had a pinhole leak in our radiator, and that he was able to fix it quickly and for a very low price. While he was working on it, he also discovered some other issues that we had no idea about, and he gave us clear instructions on how to fix it ourselves, so that we could save some extra money. He was very helpful, understanding, and he did the job properly. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

OT and his staff have worked on two Dodge trucks for me. One needed some transmission work and the other one needed some bolts replaced on the exhaust manifold. They stay true to their quote that have been given to me for both trucks. They are always friendly and have a smile. Which you don't see at many places these days. They have my business if I ever need more work done.

Stranger in town..driving 350 duramax chev pu.... got me in right away and diagnosed the problem, got me out same morning. Thank you. They gave me a price and were honest and forthright. Did I mention I am female. I was not talked down to and showed me the replaced part and explained how it works and where it is. Honest, fast, priced right. Again THANK YOU.

When rating a AAA service I am asked a few questions: Where they clean? Yes. Where they knowledgeable? Yes. Where they friendly? Yes. Where they prompt? Yes. Though this was not a AAA service I thought of these standards when thinking of my experience at Lakewood Five Star Auto. They met AAA standards in my opinion. They put my vehicle in the bay and started work right away. My repairs were done quickly and my truck was ready the next day.

My power window broke and my mechanic was unavailable and they were able to squeeze me in SAME DAY! They worked with me on price when I showed them the price my mechanic gave me. They're very polite and had my car back by afternoon! Would recommend.

My brakes burned out in the mountains, and I stumbled across this mechanic while on vacation, and he took good care of me. Gave me a deal, took me into the shop to show me exactly what else was wrong with it (bleeding calipers, warped rotors) before I gave him the OK. Put two of his guys on the one job to get it done in less than two hours. Best mechanic I've had. Takes pride in what he does and is honest.

I worked on my own vehicle. He fixed it. Just got back from a camping trip towing with confidence.

My coworkers 2010 g6 had a major wheel issue on his way to work. Working nightshift we left in the morning to find a shop and ended up at five star. The hub was destroyed. Five Star gave us solid suggestions for repair and was able to get a fresh hub/wheel bearing installed in less than a couple hours. My coworker was very happy. Very professional shop would recommend.

Wow. I finally got the money together to put some preventative maintenance into my 2003 Toyota Tacoma, and I am glad I went to 5 star. I needed the timing belt replaced, and I knew I should get other things done at the same time. Bill came to $1700. I was willing to put in the money because I will not break down. They showed me all the old parts - The water pump was leaking as well. I drive 750 miles a week for my work. It was worth it.

This is an example of a great neighborhood hole-in-the wall jewell. OT owns the shop. We have had OT do a lot of work on our 04 Toyota Sienna van over the last 6 years. Timing belt, brakes, tune-up, ... glass replacement - over 100K miles (and consequential service) has been put on this vehicle during the time that OT had been servicing it. We recently had him do a pre-purchase inspection for an 06 Nissan Murano that we bought. We had him do brakes, shocks and transfer case leak on that car. We trust his judgment on what the cars need in terms of repair in support of keeping the cars working well for a long time. We anticipate keeping both cars until around 250K miles each, and we trust that his sevice will help us to keep these cars running well that long. We have experience that a dealership quoted $1700 for the transfer case repair mentioned above, and under OT's inspection, it is a <$50 seal replacement job. He had also advised on replacing drive axles on the van and advised that they didn't need to be replaced now, but would be in the future 6 months. We didn't feel pressured that this job would help fill in his work schedule. We feel that his advice is really focused on what the customer and car actually need, and not suggesting things that are really not needed or "thrown in for good measure", or leaning towards filling his work queue. He is also flexible with me, understanding that some of the work I can/will do myself, and then doing the work that I would prefer a professional to do.
