Ameristar Black Hawk

Consistently the best place to gamble in Blackhawk. Clean. Friendly, professional dealers, comfortable layout and atmosphere, great food, and clean rooms with amenities and comfy beds. (Luxury for a mountain town!). PS. Whoever does the decorating deserves a big Kudos! Beautiful year-of-the-dragon theme going on now.

Our favorite casino on the strip, even better than the new one in my mind. The rooms are great, but could use a little maintenance where furniture is starting to look worn over 15 years of use. The suite was amazing, palatial, and super comfortable. Staff is awesome.

Been coming here for a long time. Always pleased with everything. Very classy establishment. It would be nice if the buffet was open during the week. We always go to the Monarch for that.

This place was recently purchases by Penn Gaming. I was VIP before the new owners took over and it was my favorite casino while I was living in Colorado. I stayed there this month while on a business trip and they actually made some improvements. They added a new Japanese restaurant downstairs which was fantastic. They also added some newer slots and table games. The rooms were very nice and cozy. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I definetly would recommend.

Everything is always really good there, very comfortable, good service, nice rooms and great rooftop pool and hot tub!! We stayed on Superbowl night and even though they were really busy the service was still fantastic! Definitely my favorite place in Blackhawk!

Nice place. Friendly staff. Had trouble getting something to eat. Don't like Sushi & the Fireside wasn't open. We finally went across the street to the Golden Nugget to get a bite. We had to get a member card before they would let us buy lunch without it.
Friday morning we checked on the TV to see what time the Fireside opened for breakfast. It showed that Fireside wasn't open for breakfast. So we decided to go across the street again. When we got downstairs, we noticed they were open so we went in. However, when we were ready to pay for breakfast, they said we couldn't charge to our room. We hadn't even checked out yet but the hotel desk said they had closed us out. So we paid with credit card.
Also, when we checked out on Friday, there was no Mr. Pibb or Root Beer.
Not the greatest stay.

It was so much fun. I take my grams here like once a month and we always have fun! Cocktail waitresses could come around more often, but when they do they're awesome!! Good beverages, good service. Good times!

The casino is very clean and there is a wide variety of slots and table games to play. Employees were friendly and helpful. I appreciated the self-serve beverage areas and I loved that it’s non smoking!

I love this casino. Especially the other day I had a voucher for 70$ from the last time I came and something had spilled on it and I thought totally destroyed it but the lady was able to make it work and still honor it. Honestly I was so shocked and thankful. I went on hoping for the best but expecting the worst and they definitely made it the best!!!!!

We had such a wonderful visit at Ameristar! The room was spotless, bed was comfy, and we slept well. If you want a quiet room, get one away from the elevator. Susie helped us check in and was super friendly and informative. Fireside Restaurant had a great breakfast with create your own omelet, potatoes, and toast. Misty was our server, delivered prompt service, and was such a delight! The pool was also another great feature. It's on the top floor and extremely spacious which was nice. It's indoor and heated and there's a spa as well. We can't wait to return to this hotel and casino because we truly enjoyed ourselves at this resort.

This is one of my favs! Love all the large fireplaces that you can sit around especially when it's covered in snow outside. The hotel and casino is absolutely beautiful.

First time visiting Colorado and heard about this Casino. Decided to visit and play a little bit. Establishment was clean, and the host were really attentive. Those who won were helped within minutes. Really great gaming casino.

Nice place, very comfortable, my room wasn’t cleaned but I was too tired to complain and honestly was just a matter of making the bed, but anyway.

Fiancé and I had a killer time here just before New Years. Not only did we actually win, but the rooms were fabulous, the Ramen place (and specifically, Minh, our server there) was awesome, and the fact you’re in a little gold mining town in the Rocky Mountains? Awesome getaway, less than an hour from Denver.

Love the ramen bar, it was delicious. Our meal took a bit to cook because their printer broke but the staff took ownership and comped our apetizers for the wait.
Had an amazing time at the JINYA Ramen Bar.

Slots are not going to pay at low end bets , slots only pay when you bet 60 cents or better now the poker tables are a different story craps is 15dollars per throw that's just for starters now blackjack tables are at 25 dollars that's the smallest bet even at 2:00 am that's crazy no one is even there!!!! They should drop the minimum bet at least half of what they normally are too expensive 🫰 that's why alot of people are not there and that's the word on the street every one I know says the same thing.

I enjoyed the hotel. The bed wasn't too comfortable and they never cleaned our bathtub because it was dirty when we arrived. The experience at the pool was great because there was nobody there.

Really nice place I would definitely stay there again. One thing I noticed was that people were trying to get their kids on the gaming floor, making it harder for the staff having to stop them. Nobody under 21 years old.
Don't bring your kids. There isn't anything for them to do. If you can gamble 🎰 then you can get a sitter.

This is a beautiful resort casino tucked in the mountains. In my opinion it’s a must see if you are vacationing from out of state. I call it a mini Las Vegas. The Ameristar is a beautiful resort Casino. Great restaurants, nice spa, hot tubs and swimming pool on the top of this 34 story building.
