Cañon City Police Department

These folks (easier than guys and gals) are great. Really. But the people in this town, heck the world, are becoming less and less stable. These guys can show up after the fact, but only personal protection can give you a chance of saving your life. Funny thing is, personal protection STOPs violent crimes. Someone assaults you, you pull your protection and ask them if they would like to try that again. Pull out your camera phone. Notify them that any quick or rapid movements in your direction can be construed as a threat since they have already assaulted you. Back away slowly, and leave the situation or call law enforcement while holding a line of sight with your personal protection on them until law enforcement arrives on the scene. Maintain a bead (personal protection line-of-sight) on the individual(s) until law enforcement instructs you otherwise, at which point you move slowly to disarm yourself, without any rapid movements. Problem solved.

Today an officer went above and beyond and responded very quickly. I didn’t expect that level of service. I am grateful for everything they do and I have a lot of respect for Canon City PD. Thank you so much!

All the dealings I've had with the officers has been courteous, and professional. Great men and women!

CCPD is a class act. I moved here 2 years ago, and I've never had a negative experience with our boys in blue. Their response time is unbelievably fast, literally within minutes. They are professional, reasonable and they actually follow up when they say they will I own a small business here in town and it's a huge relief to know that help is truly only a phone call away when you need it. Keep up the great work!

My experience with Canon City police is a 5 star My rating is a 4 star because we definitely need more law inforcement in our town big time!!!

Off duty plain clothes and blocking handicapped ramps and zones when there's plenty of open parking 10ft away.

Canon city police department is not a good place to ask questions about everything because they will not help you at all revising to help me find out how much it is going to cast to a non emergency price to get me to the hospital canon city police department is stupid as hell because I cannot get people for harassment at all because canon city police department is stupid as hell

I'm going through a domestic violence case with my ex he keeps stalking me harassing me emailing me when he's not supposed to have a protection order / restraining order against him and he yet he keeps violating it and the cops are allowing it to happen this way so also they're pretty much calling me a bad parent for not trying to protect my 8 month old child

The people that are employed here do not care about the community at all. They are a group of the most corrupt individuals and should be ashamed to call themselves protectors of the community.

Between Canon City and Salida on Route 50. I will never go back to Salida because of the motor cycle gangs. 3 motor cyclists tailgated me. I pulled over and let them pass. Next thing I knew, I was going 20 under the speed limit and they wouldn't let me pass. After a while, they stopped on RT 50 right after a blind turn with their bikes parked in the road. I believe they were trying to kill me. I reported this to the police and they literally did nothing. Somebody needs to do something about the motor cycle gangs. They are dangerous. I've heard others complain about them too.

Train your officers on the United States Constitution! Your citizens are going to be paying for law suits.
