Blue Dust

The food here is unexpectedly complex and delicious. Came for the tacos but was told they only do them on Wednesdays, so I pivoted to rice & beans, as well as a side of grilled broccoli which had this delicious sauce and breadcrumbs on top. The beer list is pretty solid and the staff was friendly (I forgot something at the bar and they saved it for me). Will be back!

We ordered takeout while we were in town and it was delicious. Brisket mac and cheese, chicken mac and cheese, and pork belly skewers.

The mac and cheese serving is big. The mac was even better as leftovers.

Fan freaking tastic!! Delightful, high-end food humbly served. Service spot on, great people. Atmosphere is laid-back & chill. Super casual. Such a gem and reasonably priced. The smoked meats are all hits, no misses. The beef cheek is out of this world. Mmm more please!

Blue dust has hole in the wall vibes with amazing food and drinks. Their bloody Mary’s are amazing and large. Their portion sizes are great for the price. I love perogies and can’t make themselves besides getting the frozen ones. These are much better.

The food is amazing, especially their smoked pulled chicken! I also love watching the trains go by - they shake the whole building and it’s one of those quintessential Pittsburgh experiences that I’ll always love. If you haven’t gone yet, GO!

Good beer selections, both draft and bottles/cans. Mac & cheese was incredible; I got mine with smoked pulled chicken. I think it might've had smoked Gouda cheese in all that melty goodness. Thoroughly enjoyed the brisket sandwich, but somewhat regret not going for the pulled pork; definitely next visit...

Travel a lot for work these days, so end up eating out quite a bit. A coworker suggested trying out this place tonight. So glad we did! Nice hometown atmosphere and the food was amazing! Definitely recommend the shrimp stir fry, and the fish tacos. The Mac n cheese looked really good also. Sever was very friendly and answered all our questions. Definitely will be back!

It takes a lot of moving parts to make a great business work.  It takes an owner with a great idea.  It takes the owner's family and friends, with keen knowledge,  artistic abilities, and desire to help transform that idea into reality.  It takes a dedicated staff in the kitchen, at the bar, at the tables, to make that idea work day-in and day-out.

Lastly it takes customers from all walks of life, all education levels, all income levels, all political preferences, all races/colors/creeds, to come together and create an atmosphere that makes that business succeed. Greats relationships get built between the owner, family, employees, and customers.

It's rare for it to all come together, but when it does, it's magic---and Blue Dust was magic. Until we all meet again, those were the days my friends, we thought they'd never end....

Great service and food. The arancini is delicious. They smoke their own meat in house. Also, they make bloody Mary’s with your choice of pickle vodka or horseradish vodka (I would suggest mixing both).

The Bloody Mary's are the best in the world! I do not even remember the food. It was good though. And service is excellent. You probably will not find yourself near here during a trip to Pittsburgh, but if you need to kill sometime before checking-in at your hotel, there is plenty of shopping nearby in addition to the best Bloody Mary available.

They serve "AWESOME" "BLOODY MARYS" ON SUNDAYS!! $4.00 each!! Even have #6 different flavors!!

Unbeliebable food. They do everything more or less from scratch with culinary flair and love. The dishes are balanced and reasonably priced. You'd be hard pressed to find as great a meal in as relaxed an environment. Too bad I don't drink anymore because their beer selection is equally imprrssive.

Came in for brunch. Everything was fantastic. The food was SOOOO GOOD and so were the brunch cocktails. Service was very friendly and super efficient. Get the brisket hash and the Bloody Mary. Will come back every Sunday lol

My husband and I went here for the first time this past Sunday. The bartender Courtney was awesome. Great personality and service! We will be in the area for awhile and def will be back. We want to try the food. Bloody Mary was delicious!!!

Great selection of craft beer, cocktails and liquor. The food was absolutely fantastic for a very reasonable price. We got Mac and cheese bowl and a brisket sandwich. The sauces were unique and a great addition. Brisket was perfectly made, not dry or chewy. Staff was very friendly. I've been for drinks before but would come again for the food!

I've always enjoyed the atmosphere at this cozy little beer bar. They have a respectable cocktail program, and a well curated draft list. There's pinball, and a menu full of smoky treats. The staff has always been very professional and friendly. It's close to the movie theaters at the Waterfront, so it's great for date night. I'd be here more often if I lived closer.

First time for brunch and it was delicious! 1/2 Bloody Mary's were a bonus, especially with the pickle infused vodka. Most importantly, Becky took amazing care of us! We'll definitely be back ♡

A personal favorite place for drinks with friends on Fridays, during happy hour. I can't say how much I have always appreciated the great service from the bartenders. I don't think there is another place in Pittsburgh that has bartenders on that level. They are the best!!

The food is as good as the beer and the beer is very good. Half of taps a few nights a week 5-7
