Merlin's Coffee

This is our "go to" coffee shop. We like to stop when coming into town for business or shopping. It's not fancy or trendy. It is friendly people, good conversation, great drinks, & tasty pastries. I only wish that they were open earlier so that I could stop on my way to work some mornings.

Vibe is very much like going to hang out at your auntie or granny's house-- very welcoming in that cozy sort of way. I sat down and did some reading, didn't feel like a stranger at any point. Great food and coffee! Picked up some coffee grounds while I was there in addition to what I drank while reading. Exceptionally high quality roast for the price, the Shakespeare is everything I look for in a dark roast! Will be purchasing my coffee from here from now on.

Very friendly atmosphere, cozy with 3 tables for dine-in, large selection of flavored syrups and coffee varieties. The sandwiches looked delicious.

Another great Coffee shop in Hanover PA! (Went after the second half of my disc golf tournament at Codorus got called for thunderstorms) Merlin's Coffee, cat themed (but no actual cats, we asked and sadly there used to be but apparently someone complained...) The lady there was delightful, and the Coffee was absolutely fantastic. (I absolutely wanted to order a second one to go... Lol) they sell whole (or ground to order) beans in a couple dozen flavors and locality) varieties. I wound up with a half lb of chocolate mint truffle and a half lb of chocolate raspberry. While there I had a delicious iced Nutty Irishman (hazelnut, Irish cream, chocolate) and my partner had a hot Dirty Cat (Ovaltine and white chocolate) which I got to take a few sips of, both were really good! The pecan bun thingy (I forget the name) was super delicious too! Great shop!

Merlins coffee is an amazing gem and I’m so happy I stumbled across it during one of my random trips exploring Pennsylvania. They have over 20 different kinds of coffee beans in store that they roast themselves! You can literally smell the aroma while the coffee is getting roasted. The couple that own it are extremely friendly & good at what they do. They also help rescue cats & have their own pets. In fact the name Merlin comes from their cat! He is the CEO

The owner is very friendly, the decor is awesome, and everything tastes amazing. Dunkin has been my favorite coffee for a long time but this was way better. The owner randomly handed us a few samples of different drinks and everything tasted great.

Merlin's is always a must stop place! Friendly owners. Great atmosphere. Quaint little family run shop! They roast their coffee in house and have an amazing wide array of different coffees! And they have some of the best coffee I've ever had the pleasure of drinking! I can not recommend this place enough!

Everytime I go in here I always am treated with so much kindness it feels like going home! The food is always amazing and the drinks are delicious! The owners work so hard and I love the atmosphere!

This coffee shop has over 20 beans and blends to choose from to take home. The service is always warm and friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. People love to hang out, talk and have a good time. Coffee is always fresh and the desserts are almost too good! My favorite coffee shop hands down.

Great little hole in the wall. It's hard to find a local roaster with flavors that are something a little different than every other coffee shop, and good too! Good vibes. Just walk in and you've already joined a circle of friends. Should be on a Florida key, glad it's in Hanover. Psst...go with Angus.

This is a very nice coffee shop and the owners are very nice. The also have dozen of different roasts for purchase by the half pound and pound.

Their coffee is amazing! I had ordered a frozen caramel latte, and I honestly didn't expect it to be that great because I'm not the biggest coffee drinker. I was blown away and truly enjoyed it. Made my day so much better. The owners are super polite and they brew in store. A nice little gem in Hanover!

Update 2023: Still regularly stop in for coffee. They've adjusted their hours over the years, but they're still the same wonderful coffee shop!

What a cute little place! Coming from Miami and the tiny Cuban Coffee shops, this was a perfect fit! Great coffee, great treats, and an amazing atmosphere!

My new favorite place for Boba tea, fresh roasted coffee beans and loose tea.

Merlin's is the perfect coffee spot for anyone ! Freshly roasted on-site coffee. They also have a large selection of loose tea if coffee isn't your thing. I could sit and chat with the owners and other patrons all day ! 10 out of 10 recommend !
