This is definitely a beautiful place. It's peaceful and you can't get enough of it. There are areas where you can get closer to the river. Just absolutely breathtaking. Great area to ground yourself for sure.

Small park. Quiet & right next to the river. Walk-in only, no parking. Access to the Animas River Trail. Foot bridge across the river. Great grassy area with benches along the path and next to the river. About a 5-10 minute walk from Memorial Park. I found this to be a great place to relax in the autumn sunlight.

Excellent as a tourist I had a much harder time finding and parking at the first Memorial Park. But this one is just spectacular. This entire area is my favorite in town. The community recreation center is directly across the river although one has to drive around over the bridge to get to it. But the hands-down best place to exercise I've seen so far

Beautiful. Defiantly a great place to walk and have a bike ride. Also, super friendly walkers. And dog friendly which I love.

We stumbled upon this awesome place ...and stayed almost 3 hours ..all of us dipped into the river and if you do some exploring you can find little sandy beaches along the river .. truly awesome nature in middle of city
