The Boulder Cork

Excellent prime rib and the Happy Hour deal is the way to go. Very nice bar drinks. We were there for my birthday and that meant a tree dessert of mud pie to go(). We highly recommend the Cork!

While in town visiting son, we went to this restaurant for an early supper (us old folks like this). It was HAPPY HOUR! Hubby and I ordered local craft beer (Avery by gunbarrel brewery) and 7.00 during happy hour. The IPA was crisp and icy cold-PERFECT! The happy hour menu featured appetizers and entrees. Smaller in size but not taste! I had the prime rib which came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. It came medium rare (as ordered) but was a bit tough, not horrible but definitely you had to chew alot. The potatoes were stiff and tepid and quite frankly, bland. The broccoli was excellent so I don't understand why the other items were so so. Hubby's happy hour sized fish and chips were abundant and delicious. He couldn't finish the fries he was so stuffed. Sons prime rib sandwich was so tasty, son devoured it in 10 flat. Sons partner had the sake salmon which he proclaimed delicious! We ordered dessert (OF COURSE!). Sons partner had the carrot cake and I ordered the corks famous mud pie. IT WAS DIVINE!!!! The coffee ice cream meshed brilliantly with the almonds, caramel, etc. There was so much going on with this dessert I had difficulty deciding where to start! And the size? It literally was the size of a quarter portion of cake! I tried the carrot cake too and it was spot on! Not too sweet and perfectly frosted! (Too much frosting will overpower the cake). Our server was low key, perfect timing and friendly. This was a pricey meal, no lie. We had drinks, entrees, desserts and with the tip it was $270.00. Despite my somewhat disappointing entree, everyone else was squealing with delight! Definitely a return visit the next time we're in Boulder. I'll absolutely give it a 2nd chance.

This is an upscale restaurant that has a warm, inviting and cozy atmosphere. The service is extremely friendly and polite. The entrees were delicious and the portions were generous. They also served a variety of breads with the meals. I was with a party of 4 adults & 2 children & everyone enjoyed their meals. We all really enjoyed our time there. They also provided a very generous dessert and a lovely card for a birthday for one of the members of our party. The children took home leftovers too.

Fantastic restaurant, steak and mushrooms were perfect, service was on point, and cocktails were well made.

It was my birthday 12/1, my friends took me to dinner here 11/30. We love coming here! Our waiter was fabulous, provided great service, was thoughtful and funny! He was aiming to please, he hit it on the nose! Thank you to The Cork for remaining consistent all these years.

Great ambiance and decor + excellent service from Ian and Jasper + beautifully prepared dishes from the kitchen, especially the halibut special for me and the pan fried trout for my wife. The staff also nicely handled our table of ten and our special store-bought birthday cake. We had a great evening.

A Boulder classic that I have enjoyed for twenty years. A must when visiting Boulder.

Last night was our first time, but it certainly will not be our last. This is a great steak house that also offers a variety of American dishes if you are not into a steak for the night. Our drinks were brought out promptly and served with complimentary bread and butter. We choose an appetizer while we looked over the menu that was not overwhelming but certainly generous with choices. Our server also provided us with the daily specials multiple times and was very friendly. Food came out hot and prepared to order. It was spectacular! Dishes were cleaned off the table quickly and efficiently as we finished them and we never felt rushed out the door. This is a great place to kick off getting back out into the world with great food, amazing staff and inviting atmosphere.

Excellent food. Superb service. And the decor and ambiance is fantastic. From a delicious charcuterie appetizer to delicious selections of prime rib, steaks, and fish, we enjoyed this restaurant very much. I will definitely be visiting again!

We just went for our first time for a corporate company holiday party. While the building was packed, clearly because of the time of year, the servers still were on their game the food was delicious and the atmosphere was friendly. I'm excited to go back and try this Steakhouse and their full menu

July 3, 2022 a wonderful weather week in Boulder, CO.
My wife and I stopped for cocktails at about seven.
The place was packed with what looked like very satisfied diners.
No food for us today, but I must say the plates of prime rib going by looked very good, and very large!
We had our two drinks and decided that we must get back to this place at a later date.

Loved it. The place is classy and the ambiance is very slinky and romantic. I had the scallops and the special addition which was lobster tail with bearnaise sauce. It was amazing with a well cooked mashed sweet potato. He got the special sirloin with garlic mash on the side. We were stuffed and very happy. The parking is their own lot which is super nice. Definitely recommend this lovely place!

It's embarrassing to go to a restaurant with someone who doesn't know how to tip. That was my dining companion.
All that aside, the food - my French Dip Sandwich with au jus and horseradish sauce, cooked medium rare, was good and I ate it all. My dining companion got and ate all of his Shrimp Cocktail, which he complained about containing only 5 colossal shrimp.
Our waiter was very nice, responsive and kept our water glasses filled. 👍🫙 My dining companion was about to tip him only $5 on a $95 bill, and I couldn't let our waiter be shorted like that, so I had to dig into my wallet to supplement my cheapskate friend's paltry offering. I don't know that I supplemented him enough. I now have no desire to dine with my friend in a place that requires tipping.
The atmosphere was nice.
I would return but with other company.

By far the best Happy Hour in town! Food quality is fantastic. The atmosphere is great at the Bar. Elle and Darin are some of the best bartenders around! When I'm in town, I come here multiple times a week.

The Cork continues to impress! Been dining here for about 35 years with family. Decided to have Thanksgiving dinner there this year and it was the right choice. Carol took amazing care of us and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Thanks Carol and The Cork for another great holiday gathering!

I just shared a wonderful meal with my niece. Our server, Darrian, was incredibly friendly and amiable! My niece had a problem with her salad which he took care of with ease and in such a friendly manner, as well! He also gave us such good recommendations and was a big factor in the enjoyment of our dining experience! Also, the steak was cooked and flavored to perfection. Amazing food and even better service!!

Very good for price. Service was great. Drinks pretty good, wish bigger selection of on tap beers. We will go back when in Boukder again. Great atmosphere.

Staff was extremely accommodating to our son’s multiple severe food allergies. Dining out is rare for us, and I’m so glad he was able to feel safe while celebrating a special milestone with the extended family. Thank you, Boulder Cork, for helping us make some happy memories. Oh yeah, the food was fantastic!

We had a wonderful dinner with three generations of our family in attendance. Food was delicious, service impeccable, and the atmosphere perfect for a celebration meal. Pricey but worth it!

I'm elated to share that this business continues to go above and beyond for their clients - both regarding in-house service & food as well as projects/activities involving their lot and landscaping.

Their staff called to apologize for the noise (info in prior review below) & make it right in my eyes. I'm so thankful for their understanding and compassion. I wanted to be sure to come here and update my review to share that they did reach out to me regarding my recent concern.

Let’s start from the very beginning, a very good place to start…

I absolutely love the Boulder cork. The food, ambiance and service has been top notch since I started dining there back in 2015.

I’ve had many amazing meals shared with friends in from far away lands and thank you meals with others that supported me after I lost it all in the Whittier fire.

Unfortunately my relationship has soured due to continued construction on their property this month - sometimes before 6 am! (City says work shouldn’t be starting prior to 7am).

I reached out and left several messages on their automated phone system without so much as a call back.
I found this to be extremely disappointing.

With the most recent call/message being today when their workers were operating jackhammers before 7am.

I’m sad to say I will no longer be frequenting this establishment.
