Favorite homeowned liquor store in Boulder. They always have someone on hand to recommend the right wine or tell you attributes of beers to find the best thing for your tastes. Recently I was helped to find a bourbon for cooking with. I appreciate critiques/recommendations on their sizeable non-alcoholic beer selection, since I didn't know any of them.

This place has easily become my "go-to" local liquor store. I moved near the area about 2-years ago and I have nearly become a regular here. While the liquor store has a smaller feel to it, the selection is amazing! I am a beer person and I am always impressed with the craft selection they carry. Alongside that, the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. I've hardly ever seen any employee turnover there, which I think speaks to the nature of how well this liquor store is run. Stay local and buy here!

I actually work there but believe me I was on the other side of the counter before I was behind it. There is a great selection of just about anything you want if not Nick who is part owner and pretty much runs the place besides all the many awesome employees there, he will bend over backwards to see if he can get in something we don't have for you if possible. Just a great place, good selection 👌 and great prices. They always have really fantastic sales on wine here and the sales flyer is really easy to sign up for and totally worth it. I typically get some nice bottles of wine for around $10, and because the sales change each week I get to try new things regularly. They have a good selection of wine, cider, beer, etc, though in terms of sake and mead and similar drinks they are more limited, but what they have is very good so you won't be disappointed. In particular, I like their selection of cider-- they have stuff from St Vrains, Shillings, Stem, and other companies, but those tend to be my go to, and if you're looking for a nice tart and dry cider I highly suggest the St Vrains key lime! It's a local company and is a really unique flavor, and they're the only place I've been able to find that stocks it other than St Vrains cidery in Longmont. Every staff member I've met has been very helpful and friendly and if you are looking for something specific or need a suggestion they typically have some great advice. Personally, they're my favorite liquor store in town, especially since they are local!

The employees are super nice and the weekly specials are amazing! And it's nice to support a local shop instead of the bag brand. Conveniently located right next to Safeway and the also awesome cheesesteak shop.

Great prices great service

Every week they offer a different brewery’s beer at a couple cents above cost making it one of the cheapest places for beer in the area. Also is a great way to try out all the different breweries’ beers!

For what looks like a no-frills liquor store, BWS has an excellent selection of wine, beer, and whiskey. Very competitive prices and knowledgeable staff. Leaps and bounds better than the place across the street.
