So my review of Saint Clair Hospital went from a 1 to 5 star I had some issues with billing. It did take some time to resolve however, it was resolved after a lot of phone calls and a few months. that said, my initial review was more dealing with the billing department as opposed to the actual care which I always say, is extraordinary.

Dr. Alayli did an amazing job at fixing my ankle! He was invested in my recovery and thoroughly answered all of my questions. He and the staff at St. Clair were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in need!

I laugh. All of my Dr's at my current UPMC's basically brushed my symptoms and complaints under the rug. I was so tired of trying. I find a Hematologist here as a "one more try", and I'm checked for blood cancers and every lab test possible to figure out why the heck a 39 y/o is struggling to breathe and blood tests look horrible every time.

I've now been sent to a cardiologist and had my first infusion to help what they diagnosed me with.

Thank you for actually listening to me and not stuffing me with medications that have no reason to be in my body. :)

I'm now looking to swap all of my doctors, including my Multiple Sclerosis doctors to this hospital. It feels so good to be LISTENED to and taken seriously. I am sure you'll get this problem anywhere, but when you struggle and struggle for so long with NOBODY taking you seriously, finding this help means the world.

Went to the ER in January 2024, then was admitted to the hospital for a day. Everyone - absolutely everyone - was great to deal with. Professional, helpful, caring, etc. I could not have asked for better treatment.

Wonderful hospital. I’ve had problems with chest pain and inflammation around my heart and lungs. I recently got sick and felt like I was having a heart attack. I got taken by ambulance and they had people in the room waiting to do an ekg and other tests. They showed care and were very professional. It was a scary experience but it was nice to see how professional they were and I knew was in good hands.

I had to go to the ER last week, this was the first time I've ever had to go to the hospital and received wonderful, compassionate care. Thank you so much for providing this. Everyone was great.

I will never go to another hospital. The beds are nice, the rooms are nice and most of the staff are overly nice and informative. My husband kept saying it felt like we were in a movie. These ppl complaining should go check out Mercy hospital for a day 👀

I delivered both of my babies at St. Clair hospital and they are just wonderful. St Clair nursing staff and lactation are so patient-oriented and assist you with anything you may need. My experience was outstanding , I felt so comforted and in great hands. I cannot say enough great things about this hospital. Being a physician assistant myself, St Clair provides top quality care to their patients especially the pregnant, postpartum, and infant population which is where I had my experience. Thank you, St. Clair hospital!

St Clair is a an amazing hospital that is wonderfully staffed with highly competent ER physicians and dedicated Internists. They are fully staffed with every specialty. The ER is powered by UPMC. The nursing staff is highly competent and professional. There is no reason to go to another hospital. You will get great care.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience in the family birth center at St Clair Hospital. From the nurses to the doctors, they really took care of my wife and son.

Was admitted to the hospital and I have never seen such a caring staff before. I know I was one of those difficult patients. But was in a lot of pain. The nurses and doctors were all fantastic. I do want to say. There was a nurse there Her name was Lexi. She was fantastic.
Will recommend this hospital to everyone.

I cannot say enough great things about this hospital especially the maternity ward. We had both of our children here, and cannot rave enough about the experience. They really pamper you, and customize their care to you as a patient. From the nurses to the OB to the anesthesiologists to the dietary workers and housekeeping, everyone was so wonderful and treated us amazingly. I really have to say the lactation consultants were great too. I really really wanted to breastfeed, and the hands on instruction and attention made it feel so much more achievable. I was able to breastfeed both children each for 15-16 months because of how helpful they were! Becoming a new parent is absolutely amazing, but not easy - St. Clair Hospital does anything they can to make the transition much easier on you!

St. Clair Hospital is absolutely one of the best hospitals I have ever been to. The nursing staff are top-notch caring, competent Professionals. I was in the ICU for a heart condition and I was cared for better than I could’ve hoped for. I recommend this hospital to anyone. It’s clean it’s well taken care of and the people that work there truly care. Hands-down the best hospital in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

I first experienced emergency room care in September 2019. After testing and evaluation, I was transported to Presbyterian Hospital. Excellent ER service! I since have had regularly scheduled outpatient MRIs at St Clair. All personnel encounters from check in to post procedure have always been excellent. I would recommend St Clair.

I went to the ER to be seen for a fall and I'm glad I chose St Clair. I also delivered my son here 8 years ago and that was a wonderful experience.

While the staff at the front desk could have smiled or been friendlier I was checked in right away and taken right back to a room. A nurse came in almost immediately after and was so sweet and listened to my complaints with genuine concern. The X-ray techs brought the equipment to my room to take x-rays from the bed and were also very kind and comforting. I saw two doctors and they were both patient and very nice, the one even came back when I had a few more questions.

Highly recommend.

Prompt; fast care. Works well with and supports anxious patients. My team of nurses was with me from start to finish.

The Labor & Delivery floor as well as the lactation department at St. Clair Hospital are phenomenal. We could not have asked for a better experience. Michelle in lactation has been a lifesaver and didn't hesitate to spend 15 minutes on the phone with me to trouble shoot an issue. We can't wait to go back for our next child because of how amazing this hospital is.

Today, my mom was a breast cancer patient. I don't know much about the hospital in general, but her nurse Heather had the best bedside manner of any nurse that I have ever seen. She was so kind and helpful. Her voice was soothing and positive. It helped to turn a really hard situation into a much easier one for all of us.

I went in for what I suspected was an umbilical hernia. We arrived to find free valet right at the emergency entrance. The gentleman working valet was very courteous and asked if I needed a wheelchair. I politely declined and he said that he hoped I felt better. Then we were greeted by the friendly staff at the front desk and immediately given a short form to fill out with only a few questions on it. The waiting room was clean and comfortable. There was even free coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Also, there was a complimentary charging station with every type of charger imaginable. It really seemed to make the wait much more comfortable for those who needed to charge their devices. Additionally, there was a beautiful children's playroom right off of the "regular" waiting room. There was a bit of a wait to be seen; I waited for over an hour. But in all fairness, my condition was much less serious than many others so I didn't mind the wait. When I was taken back to the exam room, I immediately noticed that it was much larger and more comfortable than any emergency exam room I've ever been in. The bed was incredibly comfortable especially for a hospital! The linens were even a better quality than one would expect from a hospital. I had a TV in my room. There were several chairs for family. There was a sliding glass door and curtain for privacy. I mean, it wasn't the Ritz...but for a hospital I was impressed. Shortly after being taken to my room, I had a nurse come in and check on me and asked me if I needed anything. Then a lady came in to get my insurance information and medical history. She too was very polite. And I really enjoyed being able to do the major of the paperwork from the comfort of my bed instead of the waiting room. I also enjoyed the fact that she filed out the papers for me, I just had to sign the consent forms and things. Not that I couldn't have filled in the forms myself, but there have been times when I've been so incredibly ill at a hospital that even filling out forms was exhausting. So, I thought this was a nice touch. Went she left, my assigned nurse came in and introduced himself and took my vitals and inquired about my symptoms. Then he drew some blood and told me it would take about an hour for my bloodwork to come back. He asked if I needed anything and said the doctor would be in to see me in a few minutes. Again, he too was incredibly polite. And I really appreciated that he explained what was going on and gave me a timeframe. Within 15 minutes, the doctor arrived. He was also very polite and informative. He told me that he was going to send me for a CT to confirm what he too believed was a hernia. Within another 15 minutes, a gentleman arrived to wheel me to imagining for my CT. Yet another friendly employee! He even stopped to get me a warm blanket on the way. I told him it wasn't necessary but he insisted. I was a bit chilly but didn't want to bother him, so I really appreciated it. I was in and out from the CT in no time at all and was wheeled back to my room. Shortly after, my nurse came in to check on me again and said that the doctor would be back shortly with my blood and CT results. Sure enough, the doctor arrived in about 20 minutes and confirmed that I had a hernia. He took the time to explain the surgery I was going to need and to refer me to a surgeon, as it's a simple outpatient procedure. He even took the time to hand write all of the surgeon's information and my discharge instructions because their computer system crashed just as I was about to be discharged. They could have left me sitting in a room for who knows how long while they got the computer system back up and running, but they didn't! With all that being said, I think that St. Clair Hospital offers the highest level of care I've personally ever experienced at a hospital emergency room. Hopefully no one in my family needs to go to the ER any time soon, but if we do...I know where we're going! Thank you very much for making me so comfortable and for treating me with such care and compassion!
