My family was passing by the area and wanted to stop somewhere for a late dinner. We noticed the Meltdown was still open and had great reviews. It did not disappoint! Everyone ordered different grilled cheese sandwiches and they were all super unique and tasty. We also got the poutine as an appetizer and two slices of cheesecake for dessert. All super delicious and I would highly recommend! Overall it was an awesome experience and we're keeping it on the map for when we return.

Food - A+, Tour Guide - A+. I’m assuming she was the owner but after chowing down on the best corned beef and grilled cheese sandwich that even I couldn’t finish, and dipping my fries in the suggested pesto mayo, she talked with us about where to go to watch the syrup (sugar) making. Didn’t make fun of our Ga. accents and was open on a Sunday when we were passing through. I wish she wanted warmer weather and could bring this place to the south.

I do not recommend the $17 Buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich. There is some shredded chicken mixed in the buffalo cheese dip in the sandwich - but way too much buffalo dip.

The sandwiches come with free chips, but it's $3 extra for a cup of salad instead, which i found is a tiny bowl of salad mix. I would have rather the free chips if I knew it would be a tiny bowl of salad.

We ordered a slice of cheesecake, it was $15, and mostly consisted of hard frosting, with only a small amount of actual cheesecake in the middle.

If you order fries, they do give a generous amount of fries for $8.

Margarita grilled cheese good.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for a couple years and have never been disappointed. The poutine is so authentic and delicious. I recommend getting a margarita flight so you get to try multiple unique flavors. The grilled cheese never disappoints and it’s fun to try all their creations. Looking forward to coming back to the meltdown next year.

Awesome cake, great poutine, decent grilled cheese, I think I'd like some of the other options more than the one I chose. My server was eh... the owner was friendly and so was the hostess. Nice place, I'll definitely be back to try more grilled cheese options and different cake flavors! Prices are a bit high

Exceeded my expectations.

Excellent Margarita Grilled Cheese, tomato soup, cole slaw, salad. So much food I had enough for an entire meal later.

Wanted to try something new, and local. I usually would just be cautious and cook myself. I mean who has money to blow now prices for food have skyrocketed? Once in while I venture out when im just to exausted after working 12 plus hours and traving for 3. This place has some hype in my family. I wanted to form my own opinion on a place. Today I was absolutely surprised. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Happened to hit the night that had live music. I think it was TJ Powers, but not sure. He took requests, and engaged the room with classic rock. The music was great treat. I sat in high top near bar. I treated my self to vodka berry drink that was amazing. I went with a classic Philly. My partner had the Meltdown's spin on the Ruben. Upcharged both meals to include fries with coleslaw. This is worth the 3 dollars extra. Both melts served with condiment that complemented the flavor of sandwich. The bread was prefectly toasted. The crunchie bread kept the soft moist meat, cheese middle from being nothing close to soggy. The cruch and rich middle was just about flawless until you diped in to the condiment. Now that mixture was devine. Coleslaw was prefect and not to wet or dry. Fries reminded me of cross between hand cut and ones I love to make for my family at home. It was so nice to have such a wonderful experience. As we left Diane made it a point to great us, and thank us. Who does this anymore? Seems Diane and her staff do. Absolutely will be making an effort to come the few blocks to Meltdown again. Thank you Diane for bring something postive to our city. This is a MUST try for anyone. The whole experience is work the money.

Wow, wow, wow. All around, fantastic!
Not only was the food cooked to perfection, but The Meltdown provided, hands down, the best service I've ever received in Vermont. I've lived here since 2012 & love food, so I can confidently say that.
If you want to enjoy an amazing meal in a beautiful & relaxing environment, just dine in. Our servicec from Cynthia was amazing, and having the pleasure to meet the owner herself was really nice. Thank you Diane, you're a sweetheart!
Hannah & I are really looking forward to those future open mike nights! I've got jokes.😉

My husband and I with 4 other friends ate at the Meltdown for the very first time. We all had the Shrimp Florentine with Grape Tomatoes, Fresh Spinach and Alfredo sauce. "Oh SO good", was what each of us were saying as we were enjoying every bite. Our server was wonderful with a great sense of humor. The host welcomed us when we arrived and thanked us for coming when we left. We are already looking forward to coming back to try other dishes on the menu. Thank you for such a great meal and great experience.

We went to The Meltdown to view the eclipse from the Boston area. The owner, Diane, was friendly and attentive. The apple, brie, and fig grilled cheese was amazing. We brought home a piece of cheesecake that was equally delicious. I will definitely be back for a day trip.

Busy place but we were seated right away and sampled a draft beer named Switchback. I had the Philly and my wife had the classic grilled cheese. Perfection! Then we topped it off with some blackberry cheesecake. We will be back!

Very cool location; the dining area was spacious & service was spot on. So many beautiful options of grilled cheeses and fries. Just darn good comfort food.

For those keeping score, the photo is the Philly Grilled Cheese w/ Buffalo Fries

I went to the meltdown the other day and was really impressed by the staff and the food. I’ve always heard the meltdown was kinda pricy but if I’m being honest I don’t think it’s more expensive than any other place in the area. I got a soup, salad, and the apple, fig, and Brie grilled cheese, my gram got the Italian grilled cheese and it only came to $55. The food is definitely filling, the servers/staff is really attentive and try to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. The staff was attentive of allergens. The atmosphere is amazing as well very cozy and comfortable, the only reason I gave the atmosphere a 4/5 is because the building is a little echo-y (which is out of their control) but aside from that everything here is perfect.

Very welcoming atmosphere from them moment you walk in! We sat outside on the patio & had a great dinner. If you love grilled cheese & want to kick it up a bit try the Meltdown! Also strongly recommend the Parmesan Fries!!

This place was absolutely delicious. We loved sitting out on the porch and really enjoyed the sandwiches we both got. The star of the show was definitely the garlic Parmesan fries! Some of the best fries we’ve ever had. The staff was also kind and attentive to us and our dog, giving her water and a special souvenir. We would come back anytime!

We’ve been here several times. Despite living 50 minutes away, we’re always down for a trip here. The owner is so awesome/kind and always present. As somebody who has worked in the restaurant industry for years, it’s great to see an involved owner.
