Found my new favorite gift shop! I was searching for a post office that felt COVID-safe before Christmas to no avail. I went to so many different locations and shipping centers that were packed with people and didn't enforce distancing. Finally, I found GCR and was SO relieved. They are taking responsible COVID precautions with a one-way line and the gift store is wonderful. They have a great selection of gifts and cards (there's really something for everyone) and I've now been able to go in several times and browse safely, package, and mail birthday gifts for friends. It's a one stop shop that feels safe. Every experience I've had there has been positive - I am now a happily converted (no more long post office lines) and devoted regular customer. Highly recommend!

Absolutely LOVE the owner and her daughter!! Both are very friendly and helpful!! The owner went out of her way to take my name and phone number to call me when an important piece of mail came to my P.O. Box I was waiting on. Absolutely treat people like they are friends. Favorite little gift shop with postal services. ♥

Amazing store with unique gifts! Helpful staff, that hustle more than regular post offices. Helpful tip: remember to check the hours and read the signs posted. Thanks again! Best gift shop in gunbarrel!

In my personal experience I've been totally happy with this place. Based on the reviews though it sounds like a lot of people have had problems with the service. I'll update this review if my experience changes.

I love the variety of things to look at on the way to the postal desk. This place so beats standing in line at the Valmont station!

Convenient location for Gunbarrel residents; a place that’s chock full of little last minute gifts and cards, but there are some serious control issues going on in this shop. Do NOT EVER walk the wrong way through the shop. You will be chastised. Prickly owner and staff even though they are competent at the post office window and provide interesting varied options for gifts. I think there’s some resentment that they are a mini post office, but I think that’s also what drives people into their boutique.

Small cramped, lots of nick nacks. Try to go when off hours.

I had to go in last week to buy stamps. And when I woman who came back to the counter the wrong way, and I said something to her, the owner flipped out on me. She literally yelled at me for saying something “to her customer”… Well, guess what I WAS a customer of her place for almost 20 years! No more! And I used to actually purchase gifts and nice cards in her store. NO MORE! I’ll look elsewhere for gifts, and go out of my way and go to the post office on Valmont. (Even though that little post office is a minute away from my house) There is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE why a shop owner should literally yell and berate a customer! If Georgia wasn’t the owner, she would have been fired by now!

Owner or the woman in charge has very little customer service skills and to be honest is quite rude. First time at this store for the post office services and felt very rushed and was snapped at when asking if they carried larger flat rate envelopes. Won't be coming back here for post office services or any other purchase. Quite disappointed as I wanted to look around the gift shop too but was definitely put off.

The woman who owns this store and "runs" the post office is extremely rude and cops quite the attitude as if she is doing you a huge favor. I tried dropping off a package that required no action on her part but she proceeded to yell at me about cutting in line; all I did was inform her I was dropping off a package! She said she had to scan it and I needed to wait- what? Why then would I purchase my mailing sticker on line if I need to wait for a postal clerk approval? The place is such a joke with goofy signs that treat you like you are an idiot. Very demeaning! Did I already say rude. If she can't handle the post office part then she should give it up. Oh so busy running a totally lame gift shop- seriously? Zero starts if it was possible!

Never open on time, the owner is a very rude lady - literally will throw your card back at you instead of handing it to you politely

Very mean customer service. Don't bother taking a right, the shortcut to the counter even if the store is empty, you will be ignored. Do what the arrows instruct you to do and you will make it out of there but not without the happiness sucked out of you first.

The owner has no customer service skills. She should not work in a business where she has to have contact with anyone. I avoid this business and go out of my way to use a real post office even though this business is 3 minutes from me.

horrible customer service no follow through on Postal Service our gift service owner hung up on me when I called about a product that needed servicing after she had held it for more than 7 months too bad great potentialityhopefully others will report this business to the better business bureau colorado as I have done

Uncivil and dangerous shop. I feel safer waving and stopping nice mailtruck driver on street than be threatened in that pretend post office. Scary place! Not for children!
