I cannot endorse Mr. Perman and his team enough. They were so thoughtful and compassionate in talking care of my sister and I as we laid to rest our mother. Perman Funeral Home goes above and beyond for their clients and families. Despite how heartbreaking and devastating this process can be, my sister and I were grateful to lean on the support and empathy offered by Perman and colleagues. We are incredibly thankful to your company and personnel for facilitating a ceremony and celebration of a life well-lived and loved.

Frank and his team are truly amazing! He helped us go through one of the toughest times with ease. We all genuinely want to thank Frank and his team for making it so beautiful for our mom and that he was able to match our families crazy energy (just the way my mom would want it to be).

Jesse and Frank were truly amazing when they arrived to pick up my step-father. My mom is deaf and they did their best to communicate with her through sign language. They took professionalism to a whole new level in the most trying of times. They are truly compassionate amazing people and they have made this whole experience as easy as they possibly could. If you ever need caring compassionate people when you lose a love one, these are your people.

The Cleanest and Best Kept facility I’ve ever had to come to for a Funeral Service. Top that off with a group of people who truly care and are passionate about making the process as smooth and painless as possible makes this the ONLY place I would ever recommend to anyone from now on. They went above and beyond, and didn’t try to take advantage of someone in need. 5 Stars but they deserve 10.

Our family highly recommends Perman’s Funeral Home and would like to personally thank Frank and Jesse and his staff on their beautiful arrangements last week for our beloved mother, Daryl. During an extremely difficult and sad time in our lives, Frank and his team made it more bearable by their extraordinarily kind and compassionate assistance. They guided our family through every detail of the service; giving us options for the viewing, for the obituary, to caskets, to the flowers needed, luncheon and other little things we did not know we needed. They also spoke with the church to make our mom’s funeral mass arrangements. Frank and Jesse were wonderful to work with and made arranging our mother’s funeral tribute as easy as possible. Everyone deserves a google review for services that exceed expectation… but what do you write about a funeral home? During the saddest time of our lives we’re asked to see the positive and to find the strength and the words to express our gratitude.

Writing this review has been very difficult, but if there is anyone that deserves a review for their excellence, it’s Perman Funeral Home.

Without going into much detail, we lost a baby in the family. We were devastated, confused and simply heartbroken. We had no idea what to do. Frank walked us through our options and was with us every step of the way. I would also like to express my gratitude to Jessie and Frank’s mother Judith. I’ve had the honor to speak (and cry a little), with each of these lovely ladies. Judith is so compassionate, I cannot believe the time she spent listening to me and simply validating my feelings. Frank, Jessie, and Judith genuinely care and it shows.

When the time comes that you have the need for a funeral home, do not hesitate to reach out to the Perman’s. You will not regret it.

Although this note is long overdue, I thought this to be an appropriate time to express my feelings, as today is my mother's birthday.
As an only child and the fact that my mother lived with my husband and me for more than 40 years, the desolation and feeling of emptiness in our home was and still is especially deep.
Mr. Perman and Jesse arrived at our home around 4 am, shortly after my mother passed away. With care and compassion, they transferred my mum, my treasure, from our home to the funeral home. We later met to discuss arrangements; a meeting I hoped would never transpire. They were informative, understanding and compassionate, and presented the perfect "blueprint" for this undesired necessity.
I will forever be grateful for their most important attribute - abundant kindness.

I'd like to express my utmost gratitude for the services prepared by the Perman Funeral Home. Being close to my mother, I knew that her viewing/funeral would be some of the most devastating days of my life. Because Frank and Jesse came into our lives, these events became a treasured memorial for my lost loved one. Both went out of their way to ensure every single detail of both the viewing and mass was handled professionally, gracefully, with genuine care and compassion, and with respect. Frank and Jesse thought through everything and helped us prepare at a time when we could hardly function. I felt as though they were truly grieving with us. I'd be remiss if I did not also speak to their facility. It is well cared for, appropriately laid out to ensure privacy when needed, and clean and comforting. I am so appreciative of their commitment to their trade and to the services for my mom.

Frank and Jesse's handling of our father's arrangements went beyond our expectations during a difficult time. Every detail (including our requests and items we were not even aware of) was taken care of in the most professional manner. What they were able to accomplish in a short period of time was astounding. Everything they did was very much appreciated and allowed us as a family to honor our father in a way he would have approved of. We would recommend Perman Funeral Home to anyone who is looking to have their loved one honored while making it as easy on the family as possible.

If you are reading this planning a loved ones end of life needs.. you have reached a place I never thought I would end up at. We had an unexpected loss of a loved one. We were new in town and all the sudden we were in need of cremation services. They were super friendly and gave us the run down to prepare everything we needed. They handled everything with great care. All we had to do was go over the details of the obit, pick an urn, the owner even met us on his time for us to ask questions and learn about the area how the process goes between the funeral out of state and just an amazing person to handle the part of life so many Americans have lost touch with culturally and don't understand how beautiful death is when it's just a church funeral graveside & tears. So if you are planning or helping unexpectedly remember the family's world stops for a few days. Drive them here, make sure they have meals, help tidy the house, stock the fridge with beverages for unexpected guests. Let's all make the most hardest times a little less hard by helping with the basics. Oh and the bathroom here is stunningly remodeled.

It is with great gratitude I write this review.. Frank and Jesse have been absolutely Wonderful throughout this difficult time in my life. My mother recently passed very unexpectedly.. They helped this process go as smooth as possible for Me and my Family. I couldn't be happier with the work they do! They are professional, compassionate, and wholesome with a genuine glow.

To give you some context, 18 years ago my brother had passed away, he was a young child. It was tragic.. Frank opted to host the funeral and the services included for FREE! THAT was an amazing thing for us as a family at that time. I will never forget that.. I was quite young while all of this happened, and to this day I knew that I was to pay it forward to Frank some day.. Although, with my mother passing it was a little too soon.. Bless her soul. She was a wonderful woman to me.

They are very communicative, and extremely approachable. I would consider something of this magnitude in your life as to the level of bedside manner and care you receive at a hospital; And they really do treat you as such! Frank, Jesse, and the others in the office / crew are all amazing people, very genuine, and caring.

On a random side note, I was sharing an emotional conversation with Jesse during all of this occurring, and she found herself producing tears during the story. THAT is what people need to seek for during these hard times in your life. To see that others are willing to pour themselves into your shoes and FEEL what is happening to you.. With that being said, everybody there is extremely compassionate and care a lot about their line of work, all the while maintaining emotional intelligence to the highest caliber.

They took an amazing level of care of my Mother, I felt at ease that my Mother was in their hands during her transition.

To tie this review with a Bow, I tip my hat to everybody at Perman Funeral Home. They are truly top notch, while boasting VERY REASONABLE PRICES and options. They really care.. A lot.. If you are having a difficult time with all of the transitions of losing a loved one; They are Johnny on the spot with the correct emotionally intelligent decision. You can trust them in your most vulnerable times..

Frank, Jessie, Dennis, everyone did a fantastic job with me and my family after my father had passed. They were very attentive to our needs in every way. I would highly recommend Perman Funeral Home at your most difficult time.

When faced with the sudden loss of our wonderful father, we were given the referral to Perman Funeral Home. I can’t say enough about their professionalism but mostly their compassionate handling not just of us but of our entire family. People gushed over the beautiful photo slideshow all during the viewing services. Jesse was able to get an Honor Guard to come, and even track down our cousin who is a Catholic priest that had moved parishes to do the memorial service. Jesse left our wake services to go downtown on a Friday to make sure we had legal paperwork in our hands as quickly as possible. Frank was the perfect host during services and the other Usher for the day was also amazing. But I saved the best for last, Mrs. Perman, Franks mother was the comforting soul that everyone NEEDS during times like these. Her words of wisdom from being in this business most of her adult life was impossible to repay. The entire process was made more tolerable and less stressful by the entire caring staff. No one wants to have to use funeral services, we would like those we love to stay forever, but when that’s not what the universe has in store for us, Perman’s will make this process as gentle as possible with their compassionate professional guiding way.

We have had to utilize the services of Perman twice this year. Everyone is so friendly and personable when you go for your first meet to plan your service. Jessie makes everything so unbelievably easy, at the worst time of your life. From her personality, to the way she handles all of the affairs, to the most perfect service. I highly recommend Perman to help you with saying goodbye to your loved one.

Everyone here was fantastic and compassionate when arranging the services for my Uncle (Fr. Ed Schleicher). They were able to meet all the extraordinary demands that went along with the particular services required. This was a funeral for a Priest, a Veteran, and a Knight of Columbus, not forgetting to mention a Brother and an Uncle.
They went above and beyond in every aspect that they could, and they did it because they truly cared. Not at any single moment did it feel like they were there because it was their job. In fact, every step of the way it felt like they were just a part of our family.

We are so grateful for the wonderful experience we had this week with Perman Funeral Home. Frank could not have been more personal, and was so involved in the celebration of life for my grandmother, Carolanne. We can not thank him enough for all he did to incorporate all of her wishes. We had a beautiful celebration at the Millvale River Front and sent her water urn into the river with a Pepsi cheers send off to celebrate her life.

Words cannot express how grateful I am for the exceptional service that our family received from Perman Funeral Home. This was our first significant loss, and we had never planned or been involved in the planning of a funeral. When I called Perman, Jesse took my information and immediately recalled my grandmothers name, and that she had done her funeral when she first began working at Perman. This level of compassion and caring was exactly what we needed during this difficult time. Perman made time to meet with us that afternoon and walked us through the process, explaining every option and detail. I don't write very many reviews, but the service we received during this difficult time was beyond exceptional.
