Kenneth K. Ung, MD

Dr. Ung has wonderful bedside manors. He is knowledgeable and compassionate. I’ve been seeing him for years, and I can’t imagine going to anyone else.

Excellent doctor!

Dr. Ung, the actual doctor, is great. He has never not taken the time to talk to me, my wife, or my kids when being seen. His recommendations for treatment have been spot-on, and has always showed genuine care for us. That being said, the practice has definitely taken a downward turn since UPMC forced him out of Morningside and into an office complex in Blawnox. The staff at this new location is the problem - not Dr. Ung. I will refrain from "bashing" them except to say that the outer staff has a corporate mentality and is not very people friendly. But that's the way of medical practice today. So it goes.

Incompetent!!! If you have an actual medical condition, find a real doctor. I've been seeing Dr. Ung for many years. When I asked him if I should be taking additional meds for my Atrial Fibrillation and he had no idea what I was talking about, I was shocked. He said sorry I forgot. When I explained to him that this was unacceptable he said I should get a new Doctor and refused to refill my medication or order blood work. This man is a disgrace to the medical industry. I missed 2 hours of work and didn't even get my meds refilled. Dr. Ung explained to me that he does not check patient histories before their appointments, he doesn't feel that is his responsibility. It's clear he no longer wants to do this job. I recommended retiring but he told me it's not up to him. If you have medical problems avoid this man, he doesn't care. My Uncle recently left his care after 30+ years of seeing him. If you value your life find a real Doctor. If I seem upset or biased, I am, but everything I said is true.
