Northwoods Dentistry - Rice Lake

This is my dentist and, as an adult, they are great to work with! But they truly won me over today when I took my 3 year old in for a second opinion. The staff was so kind and patient with her. When Dr. McMannes did her exam, he showed her each tool and explained what they did/what he was using it for. He was very thorough with his explanations to us and made sure we had a full understanding of the situation before we were done with the visit.

My experience starts a few years back when Northwoods Dentist Rice Lake was the only dentist that would take me in for an “emergency” the day of. Ever since then I have been treated like I’ve been a life long patient. Very professional and treated with a very friendly staff from start to finish. My most recent appointment ended with praise and “great” job to keep my teeth healthy. I highly recommend Northwoods Rice Lake dentistry if you’re looking for a positive, honest and friendly team.

I called every single dental office today, February 5th, 2024(on my birthday of course) and no one wanted to help me. I currently have no dental insurance and I had a broken front tooth that I was afraid of making worse waiting for my established dentist(been going to for 20 yrs) to have time for me. I had minimal pain with it-I have a rather high pain tolerance but this dentist made sure not to hurt me or make it worse. I adored all his staff as they treated me very well and were eager to get to know me. They got me in and the dentist come and evaluated my situation, quick, smooth, no pain, and he was able to fix it right away! It’s amazing how fast he was able to do his filling! He was very informative, professional, kind, and understanding of my situation. I’m definitely considering going there for all my needs in the future. (The only reason I’m hesitant is because there’s no payment plans for uninsured-maybe there is if you ask, but I didn’t because I had cash and I was desperate and just happy to have it feeling normal)
I am forever grateful! Thank you for taking me as a new patient and on emergency visit. I’m not sure why there’s so many issues getting in to see a dentist in Rice Lake-there’s tons of offices but if you say new patient your turned away so again thank you and I’ll throw in a good word to family and friends. 😁😁

Yes! If your looking for a gentle and kind dentist, who's professional and thorough-...Austin McMannes is the one. Modern and efficient technology with a fair price and no surprises. The hygienists are all very good at their work and really listen to your requests. Hopefully you can still get on their roster..worth your trip!

I had a consultation this morning with Dr. McMannes..and was somewhat anxious. He put my mind at ease as to the treatment plan ahead. He answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. He's very knowledgeable and I am so fortunate I chose him for my dental care. His employees are a good group...they treat you very well.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very helpful in figuring out issues with insurance, appliances etc. Example… I had a billing problem with Veterans Affairs and they told me “don’t worry about it, we’ll call the VA and take care of it” which they did. Saving me the time and hassle. Can’t recommend this business enough!!

Clean and professional, staff is warm and welcoming. Dr. McMannes is fast and effecient and does a great job answering any questions or concerns you may have. Highly recommend this practice to all...10/10!

I went to Northwoods Dentistry in Rice Lake and it was great. I had to get 2 teeth extracted and they were very professional and explained things to me. Dr McMannes put all of my fears at ease and things went very smoothly. His whole staff from the time that I walked in the door until the time that I left were super friendly. They seem to be a family and really respect one another. I do plan on going back there for all my dental needs and will highly recommend them. Northwoods Dentistry, you rock!!

Staff is Amazing, friendly and the best around. 7yr old daughter had her first visit today, and they treated her like she was their very own. Professional and by far, the best customer service from any staff around. Dentist was amazing as well, and made her feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of any type of dental work.

After my dentist retired and sold his practice to Northwoods, I wasn't sure what to expect. I am happy to still be in GREAT hands and plan on always going to this dentist. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and caring. My hygienist Crystal, in particular, is the most wonderful I have ever had. She and Dr. McMannes are thorough and careful and explain everything well. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a smile and they make everything, from checking in to checking out, so quick and easy. If you are looking for a place that makes you feel comfortable and at home, this is dental clinic for you.

I have extreme dental anxiety but the staff was very understanding and helpful. Went in for some fillings, it was no big deal. The nitrous oxide really helped too. Thanks guys!

I love this place! The staff is amazing! Very knowledgeable about their job. Manage pain very well, and they talk to you to make sure you understand what they are going to do. I love this place!!
