Busy Beaver

I love busy beaver stores and this is very nice to have in Lawrenceville. They sell anything you may need even if it's not the biggest of their stores. A bonus is that it's rarely too busy. It's also one of the few places where I always find salt in winter when all the other stores around are out.
The staff is hit or miss. I have met very good employees and probably a couple that were very slow and dragged out the check out too long. Overall a great place if you don't feel like going to the bigger stores like Home Depot and Lowe's.

Not usually my first choice for home improvements, but they send out a sale flyer and sometimes have good deals on useful stuff. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they often help load heavy stuff into the car. I'm glad they're there.

Very clean and well lit store. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I needed help finding the right length fluorescent bulb, and they helped measure with me.

This store has become my go-to place for wood and all things needed to improve and repair my house. I love the fact that it takes so little time to get what I need. Parking is free. You can pull or back into the yard for lumber and paving stones etc. Always helpful people. Sales are great with Great Deals card. A little bit of everything. Bigger stores are not far away if this one doesn't carry something. I much prefer this to HD. One downside is they do not cut wood but knowing that when you go helps. This local store gets my business B4 the big boxes do.

I LOVE this store!!! I just moved to PA and I drive from South side to go here. Plenty of selection with still a friendly, smaller vibe. The new manager, PJay, went above and beyond to help me find what I needed!!! I’m officially a regular now.

Such a great place. We had a mix up with our paint. we were given the wrong one without our knowledge and it actually worked for us very well, but when we went back to get the same color to finish our dinning room it was slightly darker (because this time we received the right color) Busy Beaver worked with us and fixed the problem with no charge for us. Such a wonderful place and great staff members!

the staff here is usually very friendly and helpful, will also acknowledge when they may not be able to answer a question instead of making a baseless suggestion for sales. The sales are great. We always try to find what we are looking for at BB before using a different home improvement store.

I'm glad this place is here, getting supplies in the city is either fighting traffic to visit a bunch of local places to get everything or the dreaded Hell Depot. Tons of parking, covers all the basics and then some, decent prices. An oasis of sorts.

Nice hardware store with good selection and easy to find everything. I needed three things and walked straight to where they were, no wandering around looking. Staff seems friendly. My first visit but they knew the guy behind me by first name.

Lots of sales all the time just check the weekly flyer ahead of time to see what kind of discounts you can get. Great place to get supplies for DYI projects in every area plumbing, electric , gardening and anything outdoor for example grills, paint, stone/brick, mulch and dirt flower plots and patio furniture and much more!

Everyone was very nice and friendly, not what I expected in Lawrenceville but I wanted to leave a review specifically because of John. John's service this evening (5/9) was exceptional. I was initially told they didn't have the lumber I was looking for but when I got to looking for myself, John approached to ask how he could help. He affirmed they did have what I wanted and escorted me to the yard to locate it. We had a tough go because it was a bit hidden but John didn't give up knowing it was there and sure enough, he found it. John even loaded up my truck which was so nice. I only wish I had some cash to give him a tip.

Thanks a lot, John. I'll be back and I'll bring a tip next time. Until then, point your manager at this review and ask for a raise :D

I'm stoked to have this Busy Beaver in the neighborhood for my home improvement needs and am happy to support local business! Staff has been friendly and personal, and as a new homeowner I've been thankful their selection for a lot of nominal products I've needed at short notice. Allegheny Arsenal has new meaning for me as Busy Beaver has armed me to attack the mold issue in my house tomorrow.

Don't expect them to have everything and they barely have online presence, but I try to buy whatever I can here because I'm grateful for their presence and convenience.

Great local establishment to pick up items that you would normally go an get at a big box store. I visited 2 times this week to grab tire repair supplies and a 4x4 steel electrical outlet boc

Lots of inexpensive products, I bought nice work gloves for $2, and they had sweatshirts for $6. Easy to get in and out with what you need quickly, and the staff is always friendly

It is nice store if you need something quick for your job site. Staff is always around to help you if you can't find something!!

Great! Sales rep was super helpful and went out of his way to get info re paint for me. Also store is well stocked.

Busy Beaver is the greatest! Having recently renovated my home in the neighborhood Busy Beaver has been an valuable resource. They are within walking distance, they have great sales on every sort of product every two weeks and have a friendly and knowledgeable staff who go out of there way to make sure you find what you are looking for and understand the items you are purchasing. They always embed themselves into the local community and really care about making the neighborhood a better place!

Its good for when I don't want to deal with the behemoth of Home Depot. There's people available to help. Fast making keys

Josh is the best! He always goes all out to make the customer satisfaction his priority. Everyone in the store is friendly and helpful.

Went into purchase an item (onsale) that wasn't there. They stepped up and substituted it with another one, outstanding, will definitely shop there in the future
