I just started my journey into fly rod building and have dealt with the guys at H&H three times now. Once on the website and twice on the phone. My experience was absolutely wonderful. My order was shipped and on my door step in 3 days, which was screwed up only through my own doing. My errors led to the phone calls and they had me straightened out in seconds and new supplies shipped the same days I called. The phone conversations were great also. They included friendly banter and a lot of help. These guys run a business the way it should be run. Will be using them solely from here on out. Thanks fellas!

I have dealt with the gents at Hokk & Hackle twice over the past two weeks after buying a fly rod building kit. After my two experiences with them I will always order anything i need fishing related from them if they have what i need due to the service and responsiveness. A class act and no they dont know me from Adam's house cat, Im just an extremely satisfied customer. Even when i asked "where can i review you?" they said "Just pass it along to other fisherpeople". No agenda, just good people running a business the way it should be run. Thank you again guys.

I think there prices are fair. there service is over the top. Helped me with rod blank kits and were very patient with me. This place is number one.

Seems like a good spot, but the physical location here was not open when I stopped by during businesses hours ~11am

So I ordered 21 items from them. I received 7 items a week later. Was told the bulk of the backorder would be coming next week, I got two more items. Was then told the rest of my order would be coming the following week and a little attitude back when I asked when order would be fulfilled
I wish they just told me the truth about the backorder situation. Definitely felt more like a big corporation passing the buck instead of a small company that was customer oriented.
I emailed and requested a cancel on the rest of my order. Will see if they just charge me and keep shipping one roll of thread at a time or what.
Edit: 2 months later and I finally got 90 percent of the order, that's the best I can hope for I guess. It's too bad they don't let people know that when they get an order they then have to place an order with their supplier to fulfill your order, I'm just guessing that's what happening due to how my order and communications with them went.

Both a friend of mine and I have been ripped off by this company. I was told they were sending me a back order, in which I actually talk to an employee, and never received it. I have tried calling and also tried to get a hold of them on Face Book. I have yet to receive a call back or a reply. I know they are temporarily closed but I would have thought by now someone would of gotten a hold of me being they are still on Face Book. I have bought things from them in the past and only had one other problem. Will not buy anything else from them and am warning others.

Drove to the location today and found that it was gone. Padlock on the door. Very disappointed.
No fly tying material store near me.
