Haven't gone in years, turns out new owner, got the honey jalapeño boneless wings & were great. Bartender was nice and even enjoyed a chat with the manager on accident, nice people, good food, good experience. Got yelled at for smelling like smoke but you'll have that

One of the few places I know with indoor smoking - but with a separate section for non smokers (this is the kind of thing that you may want to know as the main area is smoke filled). The bar is lively with a good selection of domestics that are often rotated - get a flight as a sampling. The wing flavors are unique takes on classic flavors and delicious. Our pizza was a little soft on the bottom, but flavorful. The cost was very reasonable.

I come nearly every wednesday with my buddy after work for wing night, awesome deal for the quality of wings you get. Some of the best ive had and one of the best bartenders in pittsburgh (jason) he can take care of 20 people by himself and youll have your wings and drink in about 5-10 minutes!

You will not find better wings in Pittsburgh. It's a well kept secret. The place is chill AF, pool table, darts, big screens and a welcoming atmosphere. It is easily a favorite neighborhood bar. But seriously - I have been looking for the wings I had in high school for decades and I finally found the same taste here at Hop. Sloppy or dry, well done or soft, ranch or BC... You only think you've had wings until you've had Hop House wings.

Excellent wings... Many flavors, their house salad is a meal in itself filled with mushrooms, onions, black olives, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and more.
Friendly servers and excellent happy hour.

I'm a big fan of this place. I've tried a bunch of stuff on the menu, and I've learned that you really can't go wrong with any of it. I usually end up getting their wood fired pizza, or the loaded fries (which are on their 9pm-10pm discounted menu), and my friends usually get their wings. Great beer selection, and great cocktail/mixed shots menu. I definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area!

Note: I've noticed some complaints in the reviews about the smoke. I'm typically the type to be really bothered by super smokey places. I've never had issues with it in here at all! I figured I should throw that out there. And if you are bothered by it by chance, they have a non-smoking section with a pool table.

we have always loved this place- great happy hour pricing and food is great! sadly I hear it's under new ownership and the menu will be changing. I really hope they don't change it completely- their specialty mac and cheese dishes can't be found elsewhere, their wood fire oven pizzas are unique and wing sauce options are awesome

The place has a comfortable atmosphere. It’s one of those places where everyone knows your name and is extremely friendly. It has the Pittsburgh “Home Town Feel”. The wings are 🔥 by the chemist Jason and the drinks and service by Casey and Melissa are top notch.

This place is awesome. They have a smoking section and a non-smoking section. The food is consistent and delicious. And the servers and bartenders are very nice. This is a comfortable place that you don't have to worry about bringing your wife or your kids.

Saturday is wing day! Indulge on discount wings. Normal price for a dozen is about $14 and some change. On wing day its about $4 and some change for a dozen! Great choice for lunch or dinner. Lots of flavors to choose; both wet or dry. Really just the best bar wing deal in pgh

This place looks divey from the outside but their menu is amazing and they have a good beer selection. Our waitress was friendly attentive and our food came out quickly. Definitely will be coming back!

The atmosphere is always extremely welcoming. Melissa and Casey always provide top notch service! Fantastic neighborhood bar to relax after a long day at work or watch any Pittsburgh sports event.

Great food, low prices, always some special going on.

I enjoy the Hop House. I worked in Pittsburgh for two years and had dinner at the Hop House every Wednesday. I go there every time I visit Pittsburgh. Good burgers, wings, and speciality pizzas. They have a great variety of craft beer available.

Love this place! I hear they are closing and I hope its not true. I have been going to the hop house for more than 15 years, back when it was the barking shark. It has only gotten better with age. Great food, the best. Southern bleu sauce is killer. I love the chicken salad wrap. I love the grilled veggies. I love all of the appetizers. I love the people who work here. Everything about this place is great. It has a touch screen game thing too, which is rare. Love playing games.

Recently did some crazy day drinking here which is out of character for me but no one was judging. Always have great beers on tap, and the drinks are good too.

The best service you'll ever get, the staff is extremely accommodating and truly care about your experience! The food is delicious and cheap! There's a great beer selection and happy hour!

Melissa was so great, and a beautiful. She held the fryers when it was late. She was beautiful.

Great bar atmosphere. Bar is smoking but has okay ventilation. Wings are great. Booze prices are reasonable. Bartenders are excellent! Great neighborhood bar.
