I cannot say enough about the professionalism and caring my pet and I received after a very traumatic dog attack. After complications from treatment elsewhere, Georgie was so blessed to have received the surgical skills of Dr. Snow, and the team at MedVet. They saved my fur baby. Every single one of them, from the front desk, to the techs, nurses, other physicians, and Juno who took the time to counsel me prior to Georgie’s surgery. God Bless you all.

I had to bring my Loki in in the middle of the night a couple of days ago and they took him back immediately as he had a urinary blockage. They made him comfortable and did surgery to flush out the blockage. Then when he didn’t pee at home I called and they said to bring him in immediately as it could still be blocked. Once there they did whatever to his bladder and he peed. Again I take him home and I worked until 3am and he still hadn’t peed at home so I called and was told to bring him back in, so I did. On the way there he peed in his carrier and also when they took him out. He has peed himself now at home and I’m so hopefully he doesn’t have anymore problems. The staff was so amazing to him and me, I’ve never had to use an emergency vet and I’m so thankful for everyone I dealt with there. I will recommend here to anyone.

The loss of my boy has been horrific and easily the hardest thing I have ever dealt with. But I do commend MedVet for their compassion and attention to detail. I had requested his paw print after his euthanasia and whomever did it had the foresight to also get a stamp of his little nose, which I will forever be grateful for. In his last moments the vet and staff also gave him a cuddle. I was desperate to fight for him and try any and all treatments to keep him around but I do think the vet showed empathy and compassion when explaining he was already beginning his passage to the rainbow bridge and it would be difficult to keep him comfortable. I realize 20 years is a long life for a cat. It has changed my outlook on euthanasia from killing the animal to giving them peace from pain and helping them transition. What I thought would be my only complaint, the first time we took him we were quoted an 8-10 hour wait. I did call every other emergency vet around the city and was also quoted 8-10 hours by all of them. I think in moments of stress that wait time is so frustrating, but it is NOT any sort of mismanagement or fault of medvet. I thank every employee that works over nights and long shifts to try to help animals in need. Realistically, there is just a shortage of 24 hour emergency vets around the city. I am thankful they are there. It’s a terrible situation and decision, but I have 0 complaints. I am grateful for the vial of his hair we received, I am grateful my boy was showed love and affection by staff, and I am grateful we were guided towards the decision of delivering him from his pain.

So I have now had my Tony back from the hospital for about 2 weeks and let me tell you, I have never been happier with how he was treated. For context, he had a pricey trip as his bladder actually ruptured. Dr. Sara Wells actually was the one who found the rupture and I'm so thankful she did or he could have not made it back home! She was just the absolute sweetest to him and myself during this emotional time! He's a more grumpy, or spicy, boy so I never know how people will get along with him and this team was just the sweetest with him! Every call I got was saying how he was doing and then followed by, "he's the sweetest little grump and we love him!" Which just brought me to tears in the best way! I also want to shout out his nurse, Nikki! She was super nice as well and took great care of my baby! And then Juno and Nick were people who worked more directly with me with his treatment plans and such but they were just the kindest people! They did what they could to cheer me up despite the hard times we were going through having him there and made this process much much easier! I wish I had gotten more names but if you have to bring your fur baby to them, you will make genuine connections with this team!! Thank you again to everyone who was apart of his treatment! I'm so thankful to have him home and he is back to preparing for the arrival of his baby sister! Tony and I love you all!

We’ve taken our cat here for emergency care twice in the last few years, most recently this week. The staff were kind and attentive. They took our cat immediately to give her medicine to stop her allergic reaction, and then we waited to make sure the medicines were working. They seemed to be at capacity with the pets they were caring for that night, but they still addressed critical cases immediately and took their time to evaluate our cat, explain the discharge instructions and answer any questions.

the staff at medvet is so kind and caring to you and your pet. Wink was having some gastro issues that rose to the level of emergency very quickly. basically as soon as I checked in with him and sat down, Kaylie introduced their self, told Wink how handsome he was and took him back for vitals. I thought that was great to make sure unstable pets are prioritized. we waited for about 6 hours because Wink was stable but that wasn’t an issue. they let me know when I called that it would be that long but they checked on us multiple times to make sure nothing got worse. Dr. Gilmore was wonderful staying long after her shift was supposed to end to make sure all of the pets got taken care of. she also was wonderful explaining all of the things she suspected wrong with Wink but since he was stable and seemed comfortable we’re starting conservatively with some meds. Juno also was wonderful going over the packet I was given about his medications, what they did and how to give them. she also helped me get that diaper on him in the picture! 😆 I couldn’t be happier with my experience and would take my pets back to the medvet staff any time!

Dr. Sara Wells is the best! Thank you for saving my sweet boy! I saw Dr. Wells almost 4 years ago. She tried to save my last dog but his seizures were too bad so I made the decision to let him go so he would no longer suffer. What I do know that that Dr. Wells did everything she could to try to save him. When I took my new dog Jack in on Sunday after he stuck his head in a grounds nest full of bees and went into anaphylactic shock she was the Dr who was taking care of him and trying to save him. When she came into the room I was so happy to see her. She said “I bet you never wanted to see me again” but what she didn’t know was that she would be the first doctor I would see there. As soon as she walked in I was relieved and knew Jack was in the best hands possible! Doctor Wells is the reason I love MedVet so much I saw the passion she had 4 years ago to save my boys life and I saw the same passion in her on Sunday. She is professional and dedicated to saving animals and that’s what I love about her!

We took our Sweetie Pie to MedVet Pittsburgh for her to receive the Yale Canine Cancer Vaccine as part of the clinical trial the location is participating in. Dr Anderson is amazing!!! She is incredibly knowledgeable, very compassionate with your pet, and took the time to answer all our questions. All of the staff from the receptionist to the techs were amazing and the facility is very nice! I also felt the pricing was very fair and affordable considering the high quality of the experience. If you are a local I would not hesitate at all to go here for your pets oncology treatments!!

We came in so overwhelmed with our first dog & first ER visit. After calling countless places we decided to try these guys and they were incredibly helpful & the price was SO reasonable. Will absolutely make this trip to them again if we ever need emergency care again. Most places were a 6 hour wait. We were in and out in probably 1-2 hours max! Can’t thank these guys enough for all their care

I can’t express enough gratitude to Dr. Miller and the amazing team at Medvet Pittsburgh. My 10-year-old dog underwent surgery for the removal of 5 tumors, one of which was very large and located in his leg. Since our first visit, they treated us exceptionally well, and upon meeting Dr. Miller, we were confident she was the right doctor for Tibu, my beloved dog.

They treated him with remarkable kindness and compassion, providing frequent updates after the surgery and throughout his overnight stay at the clinic. As someone who demands high standards for the services I seek, I’ve been consistently pleased from day one through his final follow-up. Tibu has made a remarkable recovery and is back to his normal activities, thanks to their dedicated care.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Miller and her team to anyone in search of exceptional veterinary care for their cherished pets. Thank you for treating my senior dog with such compassion and aiding in his successful recovery. You’ve gained a lifelong client in us.

This was our first time taking our pet to MedVet and we were extremely impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the quality of care our pet received. We showed up at 3 a.m. but were greeted by the staff in a warm and welcoming way. They also followed up quickly with us when our dog's test results came back. They were very informative and answered all of our questions in a patient and understanding manner. Overall, it wasn't much more expensive than our home vet, and I don't mind paying a little more for quality vet care.

We had to unfortunately take our 19 year cat and have him put down, let me say how absolutely wonderful Dr. Gilmore was, she is the absolute most caring, compassionate, wonderful, honest, great personality, vet we have ever dealt with. She definitely went above and beyond for us in our time of need. She made us feel much better about the whole thing, she never made us feel like she was rushing us or wasting her time and told us to let her know when we were ready. I highly recommend her for any of your emergency vet needs you will not be disappointed!!!!!! Thank you soooooo much again Dr. Gilmore you are very good at what you do and keep awesome work.

Yesterday, I rushed my cat Shadow to MedVet. From the time I pulled right up front and ran in with my cat, everyone did everything they could to save him and also provided so much compassion and support to me during this time. This was my first animal hospital experience and I could not be more appreciative for the staff and team that tried to save my Shadow. I want to personally thank MedVet and each individual that worked on Shadow and provided the support and compassion to me. You all made a very difficult situation a little bit easier with all your kindness. I’m heartbroken that my Shadow crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday, but this medical teams kindness and urgency when I ran through those doors, I will forever be grateful for. Thank you so much for all your efforts and being such amazing and kind individuals. To the doctor, thank you so much for the hugs and all your dedication.

Our little puppy ate a toy and got really sick, so I called so many emergency vets. MedVet were the only people who encouraged us to bring him in since his symptoms may have been parvo or obstruction from the toy. They did tell us the wait time would be 10 hours (so you do have to be prepared to wait!) but we were only waiting about 5 hours. The vet techs and staff played with our puppy and talked with us while we waited. Once we got in with the vet, she was so kind, patient, and quick to help with our dog’s X-Rays and treatment plan. The entire process was so smooth even though the whole evening was very stressful for us as dog parents. She let us be active participants in the choice of treatment and was transparent about the costs. Everyone who works here was so kind and sympathetic, and we were so lucky to have our boy taken care of! The bill was expensive (as is expected for an emergency vet) but it was worth it to make sure our puppy was safe! He had to stay overnight to get fluids and they kept us updated, encouraged us to call if we wanted to check up on him, and gave us very specific discharge instructions. Thank you to everyone at MetVet! I would recommend to other pet owners in emergencies!

We had arrived here after being turned away by another emergency vet clinic in Washington which is 20 minutes away because they were closing for the day. When we left the first emergency clinic our cat was still alive and breathing but unfortunately we did not make it to MedVet in time. When we arrived at MedVet they immediately took her into triage and started care on our cat but unfortunately her heart had already stopped beating and she had likely passed away on our way there. I would like to commend this establishment for the utmost care and respect that they showed to our deceased love one and our family. Even though our cat had already passed away and their was nothing they could do they still went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and allowed us to grieve. They even let us spend time with our deceased cat in a private room to say our final goodbyes and even prepared her for a burial since we decided to take her home and bury her there. I can’t say thank you enough for this place during this tough time. I would fully trust them with any of our pets care in the future as they have shown so much compassion.

No one wants to have to visit an emergency vet, or an animal neurologist, in our case, but I am so thankful for Dr. Leslie and his team at MedVet. We have had multiple visits with the neurology department since July, and everyone is always so kind, supportive and attentive. Anytime I call or email, I get a quick and detailed response, and I couldn’t ask or expect more.

My dog needed medical attention on Labor Day and with him having an issue with his eye I didn’t want to postpone treatment. Upon arrival, the staff was incredibly friendly and compassionate. They got my pup back for triage and then right back up with me until it was time to be seen. It is an emergency vet so it’s important to remember that you’re not seen in the order of arrival - this was something I did knew about and did not mind since there were pets who had some more severe issues. We didn’t have to wait nearly as long as anticipated. When we were seen, the doctor was SO kind and gentle toward my dog. She sensed he was nervous, and just like the technicians, she approached him calmly. They gave him a thorough exam to try to diagnose what was going on, and provided the options we had. They were extremely transparent on price, which was also appreciated. Soon after we were discharged, needed meds in hand and given instructions in case the issue got worse for my dog. From the beginning to the end of visit, everyone was so caring and professional. I’ll forever recommend MedVet for any emergent needs for pets!

We had an accident with our toy poodle late on a Sunday night. He was hit by a car and a neighbor referred us to take our dog to MedVet. We called on our way and they were there waiting for us. They came out and got our dog and then called back after we handed the dog to the tech(Covid procedure). We quickly got our information given over the phone and the man we were speaking with was genuinely kind and reassured us that they would do treat our dog like their own. The tech then called after speaking to the doctor and asked about pain management for our boy and discussed the price to make our dog comfortable asap. We were then asked if we wanted x rays taken because that would be the first step. We agreed. Within two minutes the tech called back and let us know the doctor wanted to have a conversation and asked if we could come inside. Once inside a private room, which had calming music and a nice atmosphere, the doctor promptly came in. She was so down to earth and let us know what she observed as a doctor but then also explained it so we could understand. Dr. Wells basically said our little boy was just too small to be ran over by a car and be ok. She let us know there were options and they could continue with the X-rays but she just wanted to be upfront with us after examining our dog that he has very severe injuries. We had never been to this vet and Dr. Wells whom we had never met was so kind to have this conversation with us for the well-being of our boy. We decided to put him to sleep with all of the knowledge we had been given. They brought him in to let us say goodbye and gave us as much time as we wanted alone with our boy. Dr. Wells was so supportive and reassuring that he was in no pain and let us know exactly what was happening and talked so sweet to him as she injected him. Two days after leaving we received a card in the mail about our dog that had passed. I have never had such a good experience with a vet in my life. The kindness and compassion that the doctor and staff had in my opinion was above and beyond. We had one of the hardest nights of our lives and the staff truly made it so much better. They have created loyalty from me! Thank you so much Dr. Wells and the staff at MedVet on the night of 2/27/22 for your kindness and compassion to Charlie and his family!! We will forever be grateful for you!

I took my dog, Amy, in after 4 days of diarrhea that turned into a bloody stool. I was so scared for her!

The vet and the technicians so caring and compassionate! And, even more important, they diagnosed and took care of Amy's problem in short order. I was sent home with 2 medications, very clear instructions, and a concise explanation of the diagnosis.

Amy is doing so much better today- she is eating with no negative repercussions for the first time since Sunday.
