Ciccanti Ristorante

We came with a group of 10 early on a Friday night. We had reservations so our table was ready when walked in the door.

Our orders were quickly taken and we started our journey into a food coma. My husband and I ordered the chicken Marsala. But first my mother in law ordered fried zucchini as an appetizer. It was thinly sliced and lightly fried. Served with marinara sauce. She ordered two orders of it. Unless you are massively hungry you could skip the appetizer. It was delicious but there was so much food.

They brought out two big baskets of freshly sliced breads. Half plain and half garlic bread. Then we got our soup. You could get minestrone or some kind of clam soup. The minestrone was full of flavor and vegetable chunks. Very tasty. After the soup they brought out large salads. Very fresh and with plenty of dressing and toppings. By the time our entrees came out, I was full. My chicken Marsala was two large portions in a brown mushroom sauce. You could get it with pasta, French fries or spinach. I opted for the spinach. It was full of garlic and lots of flavor.

All ten of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Come hungry. There was so much food.

Our server was the daughter in law of the owner. She is a teacher but was helping out. It was so nice to see all of the employees working together to make sure all the tables received wonderful service. I haven’t had this great service in a long time.

Always saw this on my way into town but never stopped before. I definitely felt a little underdressed for the occasion.

There’s so many things on the menu that sounded so good. But I settled on some stuffed olives and the special for the day (I’m not sure what exactly it was called since a lot of them were very Italian sounding. Lol). It was soooo good. Tiramisu was fantastic. And the service was great.

I would love to stop by here again and dabble into some of the other menu items.

I felt so welcomed the moment I walked into this wonderful restaurant. This was my first time there for dinner. Service was excellent and the food was such a delicious experience. My whole meal was outstanding. The set up of the restaurant at dinner time was beautiful. What a wonderful wonderful restaurant.

Ciccanit’s is a good, old fashioned, Italian restaurant where the service is good, the food is great, and the portions are large. Most entrees come with soup, salad, and a side of pasta or vegetable of the day. We have been steady customers of Franky’s for about two decades and it never fails to have a good meal here. You’re going to love it.

I am speechless it’s been a while since I dined out and everything came together to have an excellent meal.I now know what authentic Italian food at its best tastes like .The absolute best marinara sauce ,everything my family ordered was delicious.Great service ,great food,I love the atmosphere.This will be are go to place now.

First time stopping by. Good food, nice ambiance, friendly staff. We've driven by for years and just decided to stop because my dad wanted to try it. He enjoyed the gnocchi and soup very much.

If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience look no further. They have anything you can think of on the menu but I have to say nothing beats their fried zucchini. Always a phenomenal experience.

Wow! Get the shrimp scampi over pasta!!!

Nice family run restaurant. Frank is super sweet. His waitresses are personable and helpful. Good sized portions for the price. You won't be starving when you leave. I live north of Pittsburgh and someone who lives just a few miles from me was also at the restaurant at the same time, saying it was a favorite south hills destination for them. It's an hour drive from my house! Well worth it.

A hidden gem in the south hills! The food is fantastic, very generous portions. Prices are more than fair. The owner is often sitting out front talking to customers. My go-to for Italian.

The resturaunt is everything you need from an Italian place, nice tables, personable and accommodating staff, and the best fresh made food. It was so delicious, the lobster ravioli was perfect. Not too classy because that would break the bank, but just fancy enough to enjoy on a date night or after church.

We recently had a funeral luncheon here and it was just perfect. The food was delicious, service amazing, and everything was just as we wished. Highly highly recommend!

Sorry I couldn't do photos this time, was too hungry! The interior is dated, not bad, just dated. Waitress was decent and made really good suggestions. The food was so delicious! They have several specials, which I recommend giving a try. We all had something different and we all could not say enough as to how good it all was. Also, don't skimp and miss dessert!! Almost all are made in house and decadently delicious!

Nice, quaint older Italian restaurant. We enjoyed our date night here and food was delicious! The portions are enormous and you get a full course meal with everything you order!

Ate there for the first time tonight. The minestrone soup was sooo good. I had the shrimp scampi and zucchini and they were wonderful. My husband had the chicken Frankie and said it was the most tender chicken he's ever had. We were treated here by my brother and his wife. They go there a lot. The waitress was also really good.

Wow, what a hidden gem. I've driven past this place for years and decided to finally try it. Stuffed banana peppers were the best I've ever had. Great service and great spaghetti!!

Worth every penny spent especially on the garlic pasta aglio it is to die for 🔥

The folks here are super friendly and the food is delicious! The Cubano sandwich is so so good!
