We had a good time here on our couples date! The cigar bar area is dope and unique! Our chosen dish, crab pasta wasnt as flavorful as we hoped. But the scallops were phenominal!!!

Absolutely incredible in every way! The staff is friendly and inviting, the atmosphere is warm, and the food is delicious! I was blown away by the strawberry rhubarb goat cheese dessert- a must try. Thanks to Alexis for taking care of me. I dined here by myself and the entire staff came by at some point to chat with me. Highly recommend for a fantastic experience.

Best secret swanky establishment in the Pittsburgh area. Another old church converted into a super fancy dining, dinner, wine, cigar, and cocktail lounge.

My friends recently introduced me to this place for a wine tasting, and I must say the exploration of both the upstairs fine dining and the downstairs cigar bar and game room were amazing. I have not seen a place like this before in any of the Pittsburgh area. This place is definitely a hidden gem. A must see experience for anyone interested in any of the above. I will definitely be back on the regular!

Had a splendid date night here. The space is beautiful, and the food was delicious. Everyone was super friendly; they even had a signed birthday card at our table for our celebration night. Be sure to check out some of the pictures on the wall of the before and after. They did an amazing job restoring this building. After dinner, we explored a bit and checked out the cigar lounge and game room for a game of chess. Not a cigar smoker, but it is a really nice set-up down there.

This place is a beautiful surprise! The atmosphere is wonderful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Their selection of wine and spirits is probably one of the best in Pittsburgh in my opinion. The cigar bar and game room is a wonderful way to relax after a meal. Will definitely go back!!!

I wish there were more stars that I could give this place. Truly a hidden gem that you must experience. Absolutely the best restaurant that I have ever eaten. The atmosphere and setting were beautiful. An old church converted. All the menus were tablets. From the appetizers to the main meal and dessert were perfection. My filet melted in my mouth. The night we went they had live jazz music that just made the experience even better. The staff was top notch! You have to check this place out!!!

Dining at Mary’s Vine was such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is warm, elegant and romantic. We were seated in front of a beautiful fireplace. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and their extensive wine collection. We had the Spiced Pear & Burrata to start, delicious mulled wine infused pear slices served with arugula, burrata, house made crostinis and a balsamic reduction. My partner ordered the Autumn Carbarnara and I had the Duck Breast; both were absolutely delightful. For dessert we shared the Cranberry Crème Brûlée, leaving both of us wanting to take one to go.
After dinner, we headed down to the ‘Study’ Speakeasy Cigar Bar. It was so charming and beautiful with a wonderful selection of drinks and cigars. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, night cap, or a dinner with friends or colleagues. I am throughly impressed and will definitely be returning soon!

Not sure if we just picked the perfect night or what but the place was not crowded and having reserved a table prior to going, it was as if we reserved our own waitress who also happened to be a sommelier. (Friday in June) She was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole dining experience top notch! It was a birthday dinner and a card was even waiting for me on the table, nice touch. The food was rave worthy and I told everyone I saw for weeks about it. It’s definitely a super expensive spot but was a nice “treat yourself” dinner.
The cigar bar was cool to see once but probably wouldn’t go back downstairs. The drinks were just ok, we ended up not even finishing them.
If your considering visiting, stop thinking about it and call. You won’t regret it!

Holy cow. We just got back from our first time at Mary’s vine, and wow. What an experience. Phenomenal food. The seasonal menu makes dinner something new and adventurous, rather than your usual options out to eat. The extensive wine menu and flights have so much to offer. The atmosphere is awesome. A gorgeous spot, but what my husband and I can’t wait to spend more time checking out next is the study Cigsr bar! Such an awesome addition to this venue. This will definitely be our first choice when it comes to special occasion nights out! Fantastic experience

Wonderful unique dining experience in Rankin. From the free valet to the staff and delicious food. Our group if 6 was seated quickly and our server explained everything and asked if we had any questions. An extensive wine list, a good amount of excellent beers and the cocktails were great! The large appetizer board was perfect for our group of 6. Everyone's dinner was exceptional, all agreed. And filling. From Vegan, Vegetarian or Carnivore their menu satisfied all. One suggestion - it was a little difficult passing the appetizer board around...maybe a lazy susan at the large round table. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I’m going to start this by saying I only leaving rating when a place is horrible or phenomenal.

My boyfriend and I went to @marysvine followed by @thestudyatmarysvine just outside of Pittsburgh last night. First, the environment is unique for so many reasons. It doesn’t feel like a chain or that you are simply another number coming through the door. Having such a detailed, rich atmosphere, this place makes you feel special, almost regal. The wine room is beautiful to look at, as are the large windows and church organ. The service is knowledgeable and thorough, looking to make sure you have the best experience possible. The wine list is the largest I’ve seen in the area. Being able to see detailed photos of the seasonal food menu on iPads is wonderful. The food is thoughtful, and frankly, exquisite. The flavor of the pairings still makes my mouth water. Unlike other restaurants, we weren’t rushed, making it feel much more like an experience rather than an exchange. At the end of our meal, we quietly looked at each other and asked each other’s ranking of the evening up to that point. We agreed on 9.25 and couldn’t recall another experience we’ve ranked higher. Following dinner we headed downstairs to @thestudyatmarysvine where the entrance is enough to set the tone for the evening. You enter through a painting into what feels like another time. The smell of leather and cigars fills the air while your eyes look over the detailed couches, walls of books, and humidor. The iPad menu allow you to see the options with a beautiful photo and listed details of each crafted cocktail. You feel both relaxed and rewarded in The Study. As we sat in the leather chairs, we decided the rating jumped to 9.75. Although we feel more people need to know about the experience, we also like that it feels like a well kept secret outside of the city. This place would be perfect for a quality, luxurious birthday, anniversary, or intimate reception. I will absolutely recommend this place to everyone. We will be back.

A truly unique atmosphere! Had a cigar & whiskey in the cigar lounge which was a really unique (speakeasy) like experience.
Dining room was very comfortable. It’s an open concept but it’s not loud. Menus are tablets which can dial in allergies or certain profiles you’re looking for with food, wine, liquors & cigars. You can tell a lot of thought went into the little details. Which is impressive.

Dinner- venison loin was cooked perfectly & everything that was on the plate tasted great. Sommelier provided great wine recommendations for courses. Server was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!

Mary's Vine is a spectacular gem of a restaurant and wine bar. Located in a revived church, the decor is beautiful and understated, the seats are ridiculously comfortable. Comfortable. The wine selection is, in my opinion, unmatched in Pittsburgh, and the food is tremendous. We ordered two flights of wine, they were spectacular. We also ordered two boards, and paired them up with our wines. I wish that we had been hungrier, so we could have tried more. Instead, we settled for finishing with a delightful dessert, which was just the right amount of sweet without being overpowering. This is definitely on our list to revisit soon!

My wife and I and her family had Sunday brunch here and we all had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, fresh and beautiful to look at. I had the Wagu NY strip & eggs and everyone had a different meal which they all loved too. Meeting the family behind their shared vision and dream was a bonus. The wine selection is 5 star for sure too. After brunch we enjoyed checking out the downstairs cigar and liquor lounge - I’ve never seen anything as impressive and will surely be back. I highly recommend this special place with a great vibe.

Went there for a birthday dinner for my girlfriend. What and excellent and wonderful dining experience! The food was prepared perfectly. She had the filet. She always wants her filet well done (don't ask me why......heh heh) and so it's very difficult to find a place that can do that without sacrificing the tenderness. This place pulled it off to perfection! Even well done, the filet was able to be cut with a butter knife with no effort. I had the scallops which were also perfectly cooked.
The dining room is in an old church and so there are wonderful, high arched ceilings and solid architecture. The seating is plush and very comfortable. Also the atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried. This comes to another fantastic feature of this restaurant.....absolutely no hurrying whatsoever. The pricing is moderately higher (I'd say 3 1/2 out of 5) yet I have been in much more expensive venues where it was obvious that you were on the clock and they expected you to be out of there within an hour to an hour and a half. Not so at Mary's. We had a party of four and with the birthday festivities, appetizers, drinks and dinner ended up being there for a little over three hours. At no time was there any sense from the staff that they didn't want us to stay longer.
If you like a very relaxed, comfortable and unrushed dining experience with excellent food preparation this is the place to go!!

Dear Mary’s Vine

I just wanted to let you know how much my wife and I enjoyed our visit. I brought my wife here for her birthday and it was an absolutely memorable experience. From the very start the service was remarkable and the food was excellent. I had the carrot Osso Buco and my wife had the Atlantic char. Both were prepared to perfection and were absolutely delicious. I really love the attention to detail that you put into the building. I especially love the comfortable chairs. This is a great touch that you don’t find in many restaurants. We had the apple tart for dessert and can’t wait to try the other desserts on the menu. Excellent food, massive drink selection, and exceptional service. I had no idea what to expect and was blown away by the secret whiskey and cigar bar. Extremely cool place for any whiskey fan. I also got the ribeye and wine which was delicious. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Great place for a fancy date! The food is delicious, and selection of wine is great. The owner and personal are very polite and committed to make customers happy. The owner gave our group a tour to downstairs rooms, and the cellar, it was impressive!
PS. The menu is not cheap, please prepare. But it is worth it! food is sooo delicious, I never ever had so delicious risotto 😋

Great vibes, this will become a destination in it own right sooner than later. Fantastic views of the bridge and river, amazing severs and very good selection of wine. We unfortunately missed the menu hours for food but I'll be back and what they offered looked great. Cigar lounge and game room are truly impressive, if you have a group with some extra money - this is hands down the place to visit in the area.
