Alexander's Athletic Club

Great gym that I would recommend to anyone no matter there skill level when it comes to fitness/ exercise this gym is for everyone with its loads of activities and high quality equipment.

The staff here are all so welcoming and kind. There is always a smiling face sitting at the desk when you walk in. It’s very clean and plenty of machines and free weights to use. I also love that they provide sanitizing wipes and cleaner to wipe down everything you touch. I find it easy to social distance and other gym goers seem to be polite and courteous. Way better experience that at the commercial gyms in our area.

I have been going here for a little over three years. It is a great gym with great classes, great environment and great instructors. You cannot get the spin or Kathi’s classes anywhere else. The best in Pittsburgh!

In my opinion, this is the best gym in the area without question. A great variety of equipment, reasonable prices, and the other clients aren't standoffish at all. I highly recommend this gym.

The facilities here are pretty clean. You don’t have to worry about messes anywhere. The staff is great as well. They know your name, and they talk to you when you come in. Personally, I started coming here when I found out the gym was open for 24 hours. It’s incredibly convenient, since it’s never too crowded. You don’t have to worry about waves of people or students coming in all at once, so you’re free to use the facilities and the turf room without a wait.

Alexander’s is one of the nicest gyms in the area. It has the most variety in its equipment and programs, plus the people are friendly. Since the gym is run by a family, the atmosphere is very personable. It makes you feel like you’re a part of that family.

I moved to the area, and heard that Alexander’s was a good place to work out, and I’ve been satisfied. The equipment isn’t for show; things are set up to actually be able to get things done. There are free weights, there’s the turf room. Room for everyone to work out. There’s actually space. I would recommend Alexander’s if you’re serious about working out. If you want fluff, go somewhere else. Here there’s real equipment, and real people who know what they’re talking about. Rick, Molly, Dave and the team are great!

Alexander's was inviting and just what I needed for a few days while staying in the Holiday inn down the road. Justin was welcoming and let me work out for free with a 3 day pass over a weekend. If I lived here I'd definitely be interested in a membership; the facilities were simple but clean and functional and there was a variety of equipment, and the staff seemed helpful.

I first heard about the gym through word of mouth from friends I have from other gyms. It’s good stress relief. It feels really good to keep bettering yourself, and Alexander’s has a variety of equipment to make that possible. My insurance lets me go to multiple gyms, but I always choose to go here.

A great gym for anyone that takes their training seriously! This is weights oriented gym but they do have other options and classes suitable for men and woman of all ages. Spacious, organized and a friendly staff team. I'm very pleased with ex membership after 1 year here.

I originally joined the gym when it was Fitness 1440, so when the Alexanders took over, I was a bit concerned about what the changes would be. I was relieved when those changes ended up being for the better. There’s more floor space, not as much repeated equipment, things are fixed immediately, and you don’t need to deal with long waits or any overly aggressive people. Plus, everybody knows each other here, so there’s more of a family feel. The environment has definitely improved.

I was a college wrestler, so staying fit is a lifetime decision for me, and as far as I’m concerned, coming to Alexander’s is a no-brainer. The staff is friendly and helpful. They give good direction, and are willing to show you the new and improved facilities and equipment. I really like the multipurpose room. It’s user friendly, and it’s set up so that anyone can find something that works for them. It’s especially good for people who don’t like cardio. The free weights, TRX, and ropes are neat add-ons for your workout, because they add cardio without you having to run. The classes are also great. My wife takes some of them, and there’s a class for everybody. We’re parents now, and Alexander’s actually offers childcare, which is amazing because there aren’t many gyms that do that. It’s a great place to workout.

It is very well run. The employees are very helpful, polite, knowledgeable and fun. It is nice to be somewhere where the people all feel like friends. Also, they keep the place clean and new. I highly recommend bring part of a great club.

Been working out at this gym for many years and thru many different transitions of ownership. These guys do it right, the staff is friendly as well as the members of the gym. Lots of machines and free weights to choose from.
