New Life Lady Fitness

I was really excited to check out this gym because it is really close to my house. I am currently a member at Planet Fitness nearby, but I was hoping to join somewhere that I could participate in classes like yoga, zumba, etc. I purchased a Groupon that included 10 fitness passes to New Life Lady Fitness. I used my first pass right away to attend a yoga class, but when I showed up for the class, it had been cancelled. I tried again for a Zumba class. Online the class time said 7 pm. I showed up a few minutes early to find that the class had started at 6:30!! It was half over. The girl at the desk also told me that they were no longer honoring Groupons. My Groupon CLEARLY stated that it is good through the end of February and it is only January 8th!! I called and talked to the owner, Woody, and he was unwilling to budge. He said he was "losing money" by honoring Groupons. Personally I don't see how that is even possible. I probably would have joined his gym had it not been for this experience. He would have made money off of me had he been willing to be reasonable. He lost my business (and three of my friends who had the same problems). So now I have to try to get my money back from Groupon. DO NOT join this gym.
