I love Cappy’s and it’s become my regular spot! Rob is cool and friendly. The food is good and affordable. Solid beer choices and everyone I’ve talked to here is really nice. Def recommend!

I almost don't want to reveal our spot, but the breakfast on weekends here is a well-kept secret. They haven't raised the prices like everywhere else in the last few years, and they were already low to begin with. For coffee and a big filling breakfast, you can make it out for under $10 (seriously). The food is good and has a down-home, no-frills feel that will kill your hangover (or you can just delay it with an irish coffee).

They also show soccer games if that's your jam. If not, people-watching can also keep you entertained here. At nights, they have a good bar crowd and affordable drinks!

I love Cappy’s! Great place to enjoy a drink with good company. Kristina and Rob are the best bartenders, and the DJ at Friday night karaoke is great. One of my go-to bars in Pittsburgh.

A not so hidden gem. This shadyside stalwart has great bar food and incredible wait staff who are just plain fun. Trivia and karaoke are a blast (though they start a bit late for those of us well beyond college age).

If you want a local bar with carpeted floors, look no further.

Favorite and least pretentious bar on Walnut, but doesn't sacrifice it's quality in the process. Low-key, the weekend brunch is underpriced. Don't sleep on their ghost pepper cheese breakfast burrito!

I am new to Pittsburgh, and this is a great neighborhood bar. The staff is attentive, positive, and even more importantly welcoming to all patrons. Every patron feels as if they brought sexy back. Greg was attentive to the bars want of watching team USA win in football.

Favorite place in Shadyside — scratch that, my favorite place in Pittsburgh. Bartenders are unbeatable, beer selection is 🤌, food is insane. Wish I could leave more stars

It's been my go to place ever since the Balcony was nearby.
Fresh eats. Made when you order. Varied items, never didn't like anything gotten there. Friendly wait staff, prompt service. Great location. Worth the trip just for Cappy's.
Lunch or lite dinner. Take the wife, {or g/f} out guys.

We’re from out of town and we wondered in to the cafe. Everyone was very nice and helpful, they all made us feel like we were part of the crowd! Rob was an excellent bartender and very outgoing and super nice!

It was my first night coming in while Rob was bartending. He’s the best! Very personable, held great conversation and was so welcoming. He’s the best!

Best place to be on a Friday night for Karaoke!

Pretty nice place! Not the biggest draft selection I've seen, but still plenty of solid options among them. Good whiskey selection, and the bartender was great!

Cappys is a nice little bar restaurant seated on the main street (walnut) of shadyside. The drink prices are average, the food is delicious but not overpriced, and there are great specials to complement the events like trivia and karaoke. The bartenders, cooks, and servers are all kind people and will happily make conversation with you.

I ordered some appetizers for an event and got boneless wings, perogies with onion n peppers, pork egg rolls, quesadillas steak /plus portabella mushrooms and meatballs. All of it was excellent. Bryan goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience, if your are ordering take out or eating in the restaurant. I have never been disappointed with this Pittsburgh establishment in Shadyside.Truely the neighborhood bar with nice folks. Thank you!

My husband and I love Cappy's! Very affordable and delicious food. We typically get coffee and something off their Sunday brunch menu. Omlettes are my go to. Staff are friendly and attentive. They take card and cash both.
