Bakn Carnegie

This place has been open for a while and like it's name says it features bacon. Many varieties and dishes with bacon as a component. Staff is friendly and efficient, owner is much in evidence. Food is tasty and relatively inexpensive. Good experience all around.

There are also vegeterian options and gluten free for those who wish.

I have been hearing such good things about this place and I finally got to see what all the hype was about. Wow. For once, the hype was right! A great atmosphere, amazingly unique food! Our service was fast and friendly. The price wasn't outrageous, but the food sure was! Highly, highly recommend for a nice Sunday breakfast/brunch, which is when I was there. On street parking is limited.

Well worth the wait!
This place always has a crowd, and there is a very good reason why. With beautifully designed artisanal drinks, outstanding appetizers and small plates, mouth-watering entrées, and delightful breakfast options, you just cannot go wrong with the menu. The only problem will be making up your mind! The prices are great, and the staff is friendly, too. The atmosphere is trendy, upscale-casual, and there is no shortage of amazing smells as soon as the door opens. This is a cozy place to take a date, and an impressive venue for a large group meeting. Overall, you just have to try it... and then again and again.

Everybody loves bacon. They offer a good mix of breakfast and dinner foods with the common theme of those thin strips of deliciousness. There are 6 flavors of bacon ranging from sweet to spicy even bacon themed desserts. Try not to over indulge, but it's not easy.

Excellent breakfast food. My wife and I went here with her friends a few weeks ago and the food was amazing. I got the Bakn omelette and it was great. The egg was nice and fluffy, not heavy. My wife loved her plate, and the potatoes were very very good! It is a little tight cornered with seating, but nothing they can do their because too many people want to be here to eat! We will be back!

Loved it for sure! Definitely "trendy" but also had roots obvious of old Carnegie. Amazing food and even better staff! Definitely worth a swing thru on you way into or out of Pittsburgh. Oh, and great beers and specialty drinks!!!

The food and atmosphere here are amazing! Bacon is basically in everything plus it's cooked perfectly. They have a bar and play great music in background which makes for a really nice fast service experience. Highly recommend!

Everything was great! Good food nice atmosphere. Our server was very nice and attentive.
They could use a bit more lemon juice on the dressed greens though.

Bakn is a must! Whether you are a visitor or resident of Pittsburgh, you must try this place! If you like bacon, you will LOVE Bakn! I had their bakn cake tacos! My husband had the bakn cakes and chicken. We also had their bakn flight and biscuits and Bacon jam. OMG all fantastic! Their bakn cakes are pancakes with bacon sprinkled in them. I can't stop thinking about these things! I could eat them everyday! The biscuits are made from scratch and delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Amazing brunch spot. We always try to dine here every time we visit Pittsburgh. Always had great service.

This place was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in everything was perfect. We were greeted and taken to our table by the Chef, our waitress quickly took our order and our drink came relatively fast. I had a cocktail called The Fouton of Youth, it was absolutely amazing! And how could a person walk into a place called Bakn, see that they have a 1 pound BLT and not get it. I am completely blown away with the charm and energy of the place. 100% amazing!

Great place for breakfast or later in the day too. Try the Beermosa... I was hesitant at first but it works! Also has reliability had Whistle Pig behind the bar since day one.

Really glad we found this place when we were looking for restaurants near by that had a good happy hour (food and drinks) Everything was delicious and the staff was extremely pleasant. We will most certainly be back.

Been here many times. Very good food and nice service. Problem is usually finding or getting a table big enough for my group.

The quintessential cafe, concocting amazing drinks, giving diner appeal, and serving up fresh dishes that are locally sourced and tasty EVERY time. The menu is more than reasonably priced, and the bar has a great selection of spirits. Service is fast and friendly. All in all, you can't really go wrong by coming here. Enjoy!

This place is definitely all about the bacon. I highly recommend the Bakn 'Cake Tacos, minus the arugula. Not sure why everyone feels compelled to add some veggie to every dish. This dish also included some bourbon with a splash of maple syrup for dipping. My wife and friends enjoyed their sandwiches, and the seasoned fries were perfect in every way.

Yeah! Wow! What a great concept, staff, facility, and product! Delicious food, no matter what you get and a comfortable environment. My only feedback is that it was quite slow from the time we ordered until the time we received our food, but I'm not complaining bc it was that good!

We called it a night before and reserved a place for 10 people to have breakfast and was treated well and served great food. If you have a party of 8 or more I would suggest calling in advance to reserve the table.

It was extremely busy on a Sunday, as to be expected, but they were quick to try to seat us. The service was as good as the food and worth the wait. So glad we finally got to try it.

Great food, service and vibes. Full capacity and everything was smooth as silk. The music kept it lively and upbeat. The short rib polenta was the real MVP today. Great job baconites. Yinz should be proud!
