Super 8 Pittsburgh Harmarville

I used to stay here with my dad when we would visit family when I was much, much, younger, like 25 years ago. There was a painting at the front desk of a girl or woman, Victorian era, I think, in a soft pink dress. She was sitting on a chair, and I think there were palm trees or she was getting fanned with a palm frond. This 5 star review is mostly for that painting, which caught my preteen imagination. Is that picture still there? What's the title? Who painted it? Thank you also for so many lovely stays,all those years ago.

We spent 3 days here and were very pleased. Our room on the 2nd floor had a fridge and microwave. A/C worked well. Beds were quite comfortable (we slept well), clean bathroom, and friendly staff. The morning breakfast was fine for us (selection of dried cereal & milk, instant oatmeal, really good cinnamon rolls, bagels, toast, cream cheese, OJ, Apple Juice, and good coffee. We would certainly stay here again.

Got in past midnight, the serice at the front desk was good. Clean room and bathroom was fairly spacious. The sink was a bit small to keep personal items but it works. Overall well worth the price.

So not only is it difficult to get to but the room wasn't ready when it was supposed to be. A handicap room was required and not readily available. When my friends and I finally got to the room it (and the whole hallway) smelled like cigarettes 🫤. When I used the bathroom the whole entire toilet paper holder fell out of the wall. There's no way they didn't know about this. As soon as I touched it it fell.

Room was not very clean. Furniture was worn. Tv broken.

HORRIBLE - just a horrible experience. The motel clubs to have all of their told no smoking. not only did I smell smoke in the hallways, but my room smelled like an ashtray. Towels too smelled like cigarette smoke as well as with the sheets. decided to not stay there the subsequent night, so I checked out. no refund on the second night. they can keep my money, I'd rather sleep in my car.

Oh, did I mention the bed bugs?

The price could not be low enough to stay here again! My son dropped his charger behind the night stand while trying to plug it in... I don't think it had EVER been cleaned back there. Dirty kleenex, a dirty Q-tip, and a layer of filth so thick something could have been living in it. The bathroom floor was absolutely disgusting, too! The grout was brown and black where it had NOT been cleaned. The breakfast consists of bread, a couple of bananas, and 2 types of dry cereal. It was AWFUL! We wound up checking out a day early because I couldn't stand another night. I am not a picky person, the accomadations do not have to be fancy in the least but I do expect CLEAN! This Super 8 is anything but.

First of all when my friend and I entered the room there wasn't a light in the hallway the beds looked like someone was laying on both of them the room was dusty the nightstand lamp did not work the clock was broken the Internet was very poor and the bathroom was very dirty hair was on the floor and the toilet and tub was dirty!!!

The room we had smelled like stale cigarettes, we had a "suite" which included a very dirty and uncomfortable fold out couch that we paid extra for. The beds were only doubles so for 4 adults this was a joke. There was no storage in the room at all. Please spend the extra money to go down the street to the new Hampton inn like we did

I didn't even stay here! I called to get the least expensive price of a room. A man answered the phone, didn't say what his name was. I was not asked to hold he started speaking to someone else then came back on the line and gave me prices. I asked how many beds and what size in that price. Again not asked to hold or given an explanation like "I'm new here" or something. Just handed the phone to a woman, who curtly answered my question. I said ok I need to ask my party a couple questions and I'll call back, she abrubtly hung up the phone. WOW!! so sorry to interrupt they're day! This was today Monday Feb 17, 2014 around 5:20pm. Just for that I will go to Days Inn, same price but much friendlier.

I was really disappointed. The carpet in my room was not vacuumed, the bathroom was dirty an the location wasn't that great. Also, my friend had booked the rooms so I was shocked to see the bill was $125.00?!?! I won't be back.
