Just bought a really great summer shirt from Franklin & Mercer. The owner of the store spent a lot of time with me helping me to select just the right item in the style and cut that would look best on me. He's very knowledgable about his product and how to care for it. And he has really great taste! If you're looking for something special that is of high quality and will last you a long time, this is a place to hit!

Franklin & Mercer is a beautiful store. We stumbled in one day on our way to dinner and not only had fun with the other customers but Ryan, the owner, gave us individual attention and helped my husband pick out the perfect pieces! The clothes are beautiful and Ryan took the time to get to know us and explain each item my husband tried on. We stopped in again about a month after we were first there and Ryan remembered us and seemed truly happy to see us! I highly recommend!!!

I happened into this place a few months back. Honestly, I had heard about denim and had started to think about how I dress, but my conversations with Ryan changed my whole style. I am not generous with my reviews, but I will say this emphatically: SHOP HERE. The quality of the brands they carry is amazing. The fit, the durability, the attention to detail, the customer service (they'll give you a beer while you try clothes on—come on, how amazing is that!?). The confidence that comes with quality clothes is easily worth a little extra cash. Give it a shot, and tell Ryan that Ben sent you in. ;)

My husband and I wandered into this lovely shop after dining at a nearby restaurant. I am very happy we did. I have to say I loved everything about this store. The owner, Ryan was fantastic. He was so incredibly welcoming and the store has that same feeling. The decor, the service, the beautiful quality of the clothing, everything was comfortable and stylish. I love that the pieces he carries are unique so you won't see yourself coming and going. I ended up purchasing a sweater for myself and cannot wait for the cooler weather so I can wear it. What a great find and I look forward to shopping there again soon!

Franklin & Mercer Co. couldn't have arrived in Lawrenceville at a better time for me. As I'm getting a little older and my style is evolving from sometimes shoddily made fast fashion to quality staple pieces, this shop continues to have exactly what I'm looking for from season to season. The owner has incredible passion for menswear and approaches every customer personally to meet their needs. The Raleigh denim jeans I got fitted for here are the only pair of jeans that I wear. Every piece that I have from Franklin and Mercer exudes quality and intentional design. Ryan, the owner has the expertise and takes the time to curate the shop in a way that makes it easy to find the pieces that I'll continue to get the most compliments on. A much needed, distinguished men's focused shop in the Pittsburgh area.

This is a great shop and Ryan is an awesome help. He spent a great deal of time 1-1 with me helping to find the perfect tie and pocket square combo for my wedding suit. Very dedicated dude and high quality and unique products. Check it aht!

Have shopped at this store a few times now and really like the selection and style of the clothes here. One of the better men’s stores in Pittsburgh to find great every day pieces from unique brands. Ryan is extremely knowledgeable about the clothes, materials and details to help you find the right fit. I’ll continue to shop here without a doubt.

If you're someone who appreciates quality menswear, this has to be one of your first stops in Pittsburgh.

The selection is made up of some great brands, many of which are difficult or impossible to find anywhere in the city or online. All of them are well-constructed and the owner picks great pieces and colors. I tend to like most of the clothes there. There's also a pretty good steady rotation; you'll see new pieces all the time.

The store also has a very welcoming, friendly owner and atmosphere. Stop by for a great conversation and shopping experience with plenty of personal attention.

We are so fortunate to have Franklin and Mercer in the neighborhood. Each season, Ryan curates a unique collection of versatile pieces, and shopping with him is great fun. The jackets, jeans, and other pieces I’ve found at Franklin and Mercer have become staples in wardrobe. If you are in Lawrenceville, stop by! Beyond clothing, the shop has a great collection of art, fragrance, candles, accessories, and more.

Ryan is my savior! My husbands basic wardrobe consisted baseball caps and hooded sweatshirts. Ryan has been able to conceptualize an upgraded style without changing his personality. We love the soft sale approach coupled with the diverse array of options... my husband also loves the IC Lights! It’s Ryan’s personal touch really makes the difference when you walk into this adorable store!

Franklin and Mercer has a fantastic selection of men’s fashion, including fragrances (I recommend Black Bird - Pipe Bomb.) But don’t forget to check out their women’s denim. I’ve never had such quality jeans before, they dress up every outfit! Not to mention that the shopping experience is like that you see in movies, complete with local liquor tastings & a stylist who makes shopping fun again! 10/10!

The shop is in a beautiful street in Pittsburg near a bunch of other small, local shops and restaurants. It has a great selection of high-end menswear, focused on heritage style and rugged essentials.

The shop is really nicely decorated and organized and Ryan (the owner) is very helpful and a real denim head as well. We had a good time talking and he pulled out a bunch of limited release jeans and jackets from Raleigh Denim Workshop. I left with a big bag full of Raleigh Denim and Kato shirts. I love the clothes and still keep in touch with Ryan.

This store is a hidden gem in the lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Checked it out on a whim one night when I was walking back to my car after dinner, and was blown away by the unique, quality first, brands that were featured, many of which I was unfamiliar with. On top of that, the owner Ryan, is genuinely focused on putting you in clothes that are right for you, not pushing pieces to increase the sale. His open and honest approach definitely made me want to frequent the store going forward. Additionally, he has relationships with his vendors that can help make sure you get the best fit possible, something that I experienced myself with some denim pieces. I cannot recommend this place enough, and will be a customer for life!

This shop is amazing. I have purchased multiple pieces from this store for my boyfriend that remain staple pieces in his wardrobe. Everything is AMAZING quality. if you are in pittsburgh make it a point to get to lawrenceville and check this shop out! in these days of vanishing small business we are super fortunate to have access to such an amazingly curated men’s shop. the vibe is steve mcqueen cool, and that’s saying something! not to mention ryan’s selection of high quality, timeless men’s ware. and ladies don’t let mensware keep you away, these pieces are so beautiful they work for women’s ware as well. support small business. go now!

Great men’s clothing store. Nice variety of styles. Denim selection is top notch and very high quality. The store owner is very helpful. I highly recommend this store.

Ryan and his team deserve nothing short of 5 stars all around. From the selection of products, to pricing to service, they are exceptional. But what made my shopping experience even more special pertains to something no retailer is willing to go these days - going the extra mile to ensure that a customer's requests are attentively heard and executed. I had put in a special request to have my package shipped out using a carrier other than USPS. The Postal service loses our packages far too often and hence the guidance. Ryan responded back promptly and said he'll do his best to make alternate arrangements. Little did I know that it would involve him driving over 40 miles to find the nearest Fedex store ! Needless to say, this is what going the extra mile for the customer is all about. He definitely went above and beyond. For this I am not only grateful but Ryan has earned me as a customer for life and whenever it is time for me to get that something special on my birthday or get something for that special someone in my life, I know where to shop at.

The only place I buy my clothing from. Franklin and Mercer is the best bar none. The vibe is amazing and you'll never get a sales pitch from anyone. I take my denim seriously and I've never been steered wrong. If you're looking for some new gear, stop in, grab a beer and have a look....I guarantee you'll find something you'll like.

This is most definitely the best premium men's shop I have been into. As a matter of necessity, or perceived necessity, we spend thousands of dollars on mass produced merchandise from Levis, Uniqlo, Patagonia, etc. But what if, just what if, we decided to purchase less and be more selective on what we purchased. F & M Co isn't cheap, but not sure that matters, if you are able to spend a little of your discretionary spending on clothes, I would make the case you shop here for some of your basic clothing needs. Rather than purchasing 5 or 6 pairs of pants somewhere else, buy one pair of their jeans. Their specialty is jeans with a great selections on shirts, linen pants and even some athletic wear. We spent well over an hour with Ryan (the owner), and had a great conversation! When I need jeans or maybe a nice casual shirt, I will be shopping here.
