Exceed my expectations. Long time ago when I was at Pitt we used to have many meetings and lunch events scheduled here and their burger and pizza were my choice usually. After 5 years I visited this place again and our group of 5 enjoyed the food a lot. I got the beet and goat cheese salad with shrimps, it was very good. Only complain from a couple of others on our table was the fries were overcooked . Service was super good too.

Amazing! I happened upon The Porch at an event in Schenley Park, Beer at the Bosque. My friend and I decided to try their food first hand. We went for lunch and were thrilled to see the affordable selection of child's plates at just $6. They have a family friendly atmosphere and the restaurant is easy to navigate. There is a family restroom along with a HUGE accessible women's restroom. I didn't peek in the men's room, so I have no clue. The bar opens at 4pm however they are extremely accommodating. They are cross trained so while there is no bartender at the bar there are people who can make your drink if you wish to have one. I went in for a quick visit and was served at the bar immediately. The staff is extremely welcoming. We enjoyed our food and loved sitting outside. Our only complaint was the harsh paint smells during renovations. Otherwise, this is a perfect place for a lunch date, lunch meeting, or dinner. The green grass parks, and scenery is spectacular. I love the artwork on the walls, recycled bicycle parts. Great job!

This restaurant is a solid restaurant to go to if you’re in the area. Everything is farm to table which is something that is hard to find these days. It reflects in the way the food tastes. I highly recommend the truffle burger.

We decided to finally try out The Porch and I'm glad we did! What really stood out to me about this place was the exceptional service and the ambiance; this restaurant is gorgeous, and being located at the foot of the Cathedral just makes it beautiful. You also walk right past cabbages growing outside and we learned that they have bees on the roof, which is so cool! The waitstaff is very attentive and incredibly lovely.

We really enjoyed the meal. My aperol was great, the glassware especially is really special. The truffle burger was really tasty, I liked that they give you the option to build it yourself. It was pretty clear that the burger was pre-shaped, which I didn't like as much, but it was still good for the price. The margarita pizza really was the thing I was most disappointed about; the woodfired dough was great and the tomato sauce was delicious but typically I expect fresh mozzarella on a margarita, not pre-shredded mozzarella. It was still really tasty, and I liked the build it yourself options for that as well, but it would have been better advertised as a cheese pizza.

Overall, I really enjoyed the Porch and I will absolutely be back for more menu offerings, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and you just can't beat the location!

Wonderful atmosphere for rainy days in early fall. The truffle burger was absolutely delicious. Will be coming back to try the lobster mac!

First time at any location of The Porch and I was impressed. A lot of great options on both the food and drink menu, including about 12 draft beers (some from local breweries).

Since I was with a group, I sampled three of the appetizers: white bean hummus, cornbread, and brussel sprouts. I would gladly order the first two on any future visit. I generally don't like brussel sprouts but the one I tried wasn't bad at all.

For my entree I chose the seared tuna special rather than something from the menu. It was beautiful and absolutely delicious.

The service was pretty good, but they were definitely busy. Our server was hilarious and kept us laughing. He made good and honest tips about the menu and warned us that the kitchen was a little behind. (I still think our food was served in a reasonable amount of time, especially for a party of 8.) He did forget to tell us about the specials; I am so glad I saw the tuna special listed on the board when I walked in.

There is another location of The Porch closer to home that we've never visited. After our experience at the Schenley location, I am eager to check it out.

Winter Meal Update: chicken sandwich and chili - very good lunch. A bit too much lemon in the dressing for the side salad. Chili was great. Sandwich was on a wonderful bread. The sundried tomatoes topping it were delicious. No wait, clean dining area, friendly staff always available. Wasn't sure if I should bus my own tables or leave it.

Fun in the shade of their outdoor tent dining experience. Bar was backed up because of the music festival next door but great atmosphere. Brussle sprouts appetizer
was worth a return visit!

Wagu Burger will be a pass for me next time. Uninspired, dry, meh. The salads and pizza are always spot on, though. My daughter LOVED the salmon dinner.

A favorite. Usually get the pizza but tried the meatloaf. Good mushroom gravy on mash potatoes. Excellent. Fun atmosphere. Good service.

This place is AWESOME. Great drink prices and selection of beers, cocktails, etc..

Really nice wait staff and fantastic food. I came in a group of 30 and was really concerned about how well the experience would scale and we all had an incredible time. There was a fixed menu, but it was still great. Would highly recommend this place for large groups.

Also would be a good place to watch a game on TV and have a few beers.

I love the pizza here and you get to see it fired up right in front of you. I ordered the spinach and artichoke pizza and it was a cheese delight! Who would've thought peas on pizza would impress? The strawberry basil lemonade was sweet and subtly basil flavored. This is a great spot for lunch if you miss the rush at 12pm.

This is my first time to ever visit The Porch at Schenley, I reserved a table for 12 and the service was great, the waitress was kind and helpful, food did take a long time to get to us but the place was pretty busy but the quality of the food was great. Everyone loved the food and the service the only caveat was the waiting time but it makes why it does take longer to get your food. If you come with a lot of people you should call and reserve your spot. I totally recommend this place, we are going there next time we come to Pittsburgh.

The best pizza I ever had. No wonder it was crowded and each one of them had their own pizza order! Tomato soup which was the soup of that day was so gooood! Love the flavoured water they got! Ambience and service is great!

The drinks were very tasty, the salmon was fabulous (just don't tell my doctor, -lots of butter!). The hamburger was reportedly very good. I give four stars for service because we sat at our table for a while before a server was assigned to us, but once she was engaged, she was very attentive

My friend and I are visiting Pittsburgh and decided to try this restaurant when we left the Carnegie Library. It's a very nice place, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Nice ambience. We decided on indoor seating, as the day was fine and the outdoor seating was therefore quite busy.

The waitstaff are pleasant, friendly, and attentive. They don't hover, but they're good about checking if you need anything without being too intrusive. David is pretty awesome, if you get lucky enough to get him as your server. And Joseph goes out of his way to maximize your experience, as well.

The food is fantabulous. And very reasonably priced, considering the thought and care taken with the flavor profiles. Compliments to the chef!

Tried out the lunch menu
The truffle burger was incredible.
The flavors are perfect and the burger was ridiculously juicy
Side of crispy potatoes was spot on
Had a beef dip as well
Would return to try dinner menu

The bianca pizza is 🔥. Grab one for take out and enjoy outside in the beautiful surroundings. This place offers indoor seating and patio seating. The indoor dining area is bright and open to fit the local area and take in the views of Schenley Plaza, the Cathedral of Learning, and nearby Dippy the Dinosaur.

This was a good place to eat for gluten free options. The tomato soup and chicken blt were delicious. The ambiance was great, little noisy, but not too bad. We had to wait a while for walk in seating, about twenty minutes. Service was great, lots of menu options, close to the museums and campus.

Presentation was fabulous! I love bruschetta, and prosciutto!

Ordering was a little weird, maybe because we had a large party? We ordered up front before getting seated.

Great location for summer brunch with a fantastic view. I recommend getting outdoor seating.
Things you should know:
I. PARKING
We found plenty of available street parking in front of the restaurant. It wasn't stressful or a hassle.
II. SERVICE
Attentive. You know those hidden corner seats that usually get forgotten or neglected? Nah, not here. Our waitress remembered to check up on us.
III. QUALITY
Fresh
IV. CAPACITY
No wait for a Sunday at brunch hours. Maybe we got lucky?

Been coming to The Porch for the past several years. Food and beverage selections are great. They have options for the sophisticated palette and the picky eater. Prices are reasonable. Service is almost always great. Sometimes food can take some time to come out if they are busy, but it's always good, and it gives you more time for conversation.
