Johnny's Italian Dining

Our first visit but not the last! What a hidden gem! We enjoyed two of the veal dishes and one salmon, and the risotto & spinach sides were delicious! Our server was hustling and had great recommendations on food and drinks. Highly recommended and we hope to be back soon.

What an A M A Z I N G EXPERIENCE at this gem in Wilmerding. I tagged along with my sister and her friend because there was a live R&B solo performance by “Quan”, along with dinner. Fantastic Vocals and Music! The food was 🔥. Our lovely table of five ordered fried zucchini, fried mozzarella, and fried calamari for apps. Simply Delicious 😋. For my solo entrees(yes plural), I ordered the 8 oz. tenderloin with sautéed mushrooms, and the Chicken Farm Alfredo. Both entrees came with two sides each so I ordered the sautéed spinach, risotto, sausage, and meatballs. When I tell you the food was AMAZING, that’s just what it was. Everything down to the homemade marinara sauce that came with apps and my sausage and meatballs. So tender and flavorful, the creaminess of the risotto. Everything was perfect. Like, our server was very upbeat, attentive, and appreciative. The servers are all in sync and will box up any leftovers. Now, the performance and ambiance…Wow! Fantastic vocals, music, and a crowd that will light up the most boring of parties. Trust me, there are no wallflowers here. The ladies, and some gentlemen were “getting their boogie on”. I loved every minute of it and will back for another full experience with some local friends. Definitely a diamond in the rough in a very unassuming area. One of the best Italian Food experiences I ever had in my life. Simply Delizioso 🤤!!!

First time at Johnny's and it was delicious. There were 8 of us and we all had different dishes and everyone thought it was great. I personally had the veal Mediterranean and it was excellent. Can't wait to go again and try something else.

Total hole in the wall. I recently ended up here for a funeral wake. You would never know it's even there from the outside. Great food. Good people. Good vibes

I've only been here twice. The decor is a bit dated however I'm okay with that considering the food is fantastic. My wife and I were celebrating her birthday. Every member of staff we interacted with made her feel special. She had the filet and lobster and I had the vinegar pork chops. Absolutely wonderful across the board. Even the sides were fantastic risotto and sausage sides are amazing. When we completed our meal my wife asked me which of all the dishes I had was my favorite. I honestly could not pick one. Everything was just wonderful. I recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.

Very nice, old fashioned neighborhood Italian restaurant. Food was very good as well as the service. Prices were very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend!

FABULOUS! This is hidden jewel.... A wonderful place. for great food and ambiance. I would go there just to hear the music. Real old school. Italian. Go there you will not be disappointed

Christmas at Johnny's...Very Festive and Comforting. I had the Chicken Romano...OUTSTANDING!!!! The Chicken was SO TENDER that I was Eating it with a SPOON!!! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Also had Meatballs...DELICIOUS!!! A MUST VISIT To EVERYONE Who want REAL HOMEMADE ITALIAN QUESINE!!!@

Our group loved their meals , My eggplant was decent. I don't eat a lot of meat and this was one of my options.

I can't remember when I've enjoyed a meal as much as I enjoyed last night's dinner at Johnny's! It was our first time there and everything was outstanding - kudos to the chef! Service was top notch and super friendly. We will definitely be back and will be sure to make a reservation next time! We're looking forward to eating our way through the entire menu!

This place on a Saturday night is a vibe! Came here on a whim while looking for Italian, but was excited about the reviews and because my dad grew up in Wilmerding and knew Johnny. You can tell this restaurant holds a special place in the neighborhood's heart. Great spot to dress up, have martinis, and stay for the live music. We had the oysters rockefeller, stuffed mushrooms, veal mediterranean, and the chicken a la Johnny's. The chicken was the winner, but everything was great.

This was the most incredible dining experience I have ever had! I'm telling you, the atmosphere, service, food! Everything was just sensational! I could tell there's a lot of regulars that come here - for good reason! I highly recommend this restaurant! The server and all the waitstaff were extremely attentive! I never had to ask for refills. And I was especially impressed when a woman observed that I was inhaling the delicious bread like a mad woman and brought out more for me to enjoy without asking! I wish we didn't live so far! We would definitely make this our regular restaurant too . Thank you for having such a perfect place ❤ also the drinks were 😍 so good too!!!

Old school quiet atmosphere. Most everything here is exceptional. People who know what good food is go here!!

Tonight we had a table of 8. First time for all of us and we each ordered something different. I have heard great things about your restaurant for years, now and finally tried you. Everything was excellent! We all will be back again and highly recommend you. Our server Luke was so attentive and was there even before we asked anticipating our needs. We passed a couple Italian Restaurants on our way home and said they could not compare to you. Thank you for making such a wonderful evening for a group of friends. I am posting on my many Facebook pages next. You are amazing!

Really cute old school Italian restaurant. Service was impeccable. Food was super tasty with a surprisingly impressive wine list. The wine was affordable and they have a discount on Wednesdays. The desserts were terribly small though. Try the lemon cake- it was delicious!

Went here for dinner. Had the Chicken Marsala, with a side salad, and side of meatballs. Was absolutely fantastic. Prices were incredible for what I had. Did not leave hungry whatsoever. Would definitely recommend!

I don't remember the last time I had such a delicious Italian meal on this side of Pittsburgh.

Everyone who knew this place said "Get the Chicken a la Johnny's, with sweet and hot peppers."

So glad I did. I was enjoying it so much I totally forgot about my side dish.

I can't wait to go back. Fantastic.

Had a great experience last weekend. The food and service was fantastic. The place is a gem. Pittsburgh is lucky to have a great Italian restaurant like this.
