Beteena was such a special part of my wedding journey and I could not recommend her enough. When I first came in I was very stressed, unsure if I bought a size too big. Beteena assured me that she could help me and she exceeded all expectations. My dress was no easy feat and it took A LOT of hard work. Beteena went above and beyond to make the dress look absolutely flawless. I truly do not know what I would have done without her. She is the absolute best. Thank you Beteena. Working with you through that process was an experience I will always cherish!

As a bride who came to Beteena to alter my wedding dress, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for alterations. I did not make it easy on her by bringing in my Grandmother’s wedding dress from 1957, but she fit it to my body quite perfectly. Her work stayed true to the dress, but a few personal touches allowed it to also stay true to me, which is exactly what I hoped for (for example, I did not want to wear the jacket that my Gram wore, but I loved the buttons on it, so Beteena took them from the jacket and lined the back of my dress with them). She was patient, creative, flexible, and caring every step of the way, and I feel blessed to have been able to experience that part of my wedding process with her. My Grandmother was not able to be there to see it in person, but I know she would have absolutely loved it as much as I!

Beteena was so great to work with and is an absolute master at her craft! When I initially went to visit Beteena, I was very unhappy with how my wedding dress was fitting. Beteena made great suggestions and I fully trusted her process. By the end of it all, Beteena was so easy to communicate with, was very particular with all the details of the alterations and made me feel beautiful again in my dress and I appreciate her so much for that! Highly recommend!

Beteena did such an amazing job on my very complicated dress! It looked like it wasn’t even touched by the time she was done with it. She was very meticulous and careful with everything she was doing and made sure every sequin was sewn back on perfectly. I had a great experience and she was so kind to me and made me feel welcome every time i went in for a fitting! i would definitely recommend Beteena because she’s very talented and professional about her work. i will definitely be going again in the future!

Sewing by Beteena has me as a customer for life!! I was invited as a guest for a black tie wedding with only two weeks left before the day. She was extremely accommodating whenever I reached out to her and she made sure all of the fittings worked with my work schedule. My dress was about 5 inches too long with a small train and a hard horse hair hem. There was also 4 layers. There were two nude under layers, a mesh, and a black lace top layer. The bottom was a mess before she worked her magic. When I tell you I was blown away by her alterations I am not exaggerating. She does incredible work! She knew exactly what needed to be done and told me her opinion on different ways to hem it giving me two options. I trusted her fully and I’m so glad I did. She made me feel absolutely beautiful. The dress felt and looked like it was made specifically for me. AMAZING WORK!! Thank you sooooo much!

Beteena have been the sweetest, kind and accommodating seamstress. With only 4 weeks up to my wedding date, she altered my dress in time for the wedding.

Beteena is truly an artist! The bodice of my dress was originally unlined but I had the designer add a lining. The way the lining was constructed made alterations particularly tricky, but Beteena brought me in for several fittings until the bodice fit just right. She essentially deconstructed the top of my dress, and then reconstructed it, making it absolutely perfect. Her attention to detail and artistry is unmatched. She did the alterations for my sister’s wedding gown in 2018, and there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted Beteena to do the work on my gown as well. She is simply the best!

She did such a wonderful job making sure everything was perfect with my dress before my big day! Such a sweet women who truly cares about her work. Would highly recommend her to anyone!

Beteena is amazing. She turned a dress i bought on a whim (and was luke warm about) into a stunning wedding dress i absolutely loved wearing. The hem was perfect and allowed me to dance like a crazy person for the night without tripping. The boddess was perfectly made to fit. She takes a lot of time, but for me, it was well worth it to have a dress i looked amazing in. She really took my opinions into account and was beyond transparent and approachable. She was incredibly flexible about scheduling which was incredible as i have a complicated schedule as a resident physician. Also, she was just so pleasent to work with. Picking a seamstress is very strssful and i could not be happier with the experience and outcome.

Working with Beteena was truly one of the best parts of preparing for my wedding! I loved visiting with her during each appointment as she made the alterations my dress needed. Her attention to detail is second to none, and it is evident that she loves what she does and takes great pride in her work. Thank you for everything, Beteena. You were a joy to work with! 💕

Beteena was an absolute joy to work with! All appointments went smoothly & her attention to details is wonderful. By the end of alterations, you couldn't tell she had to take quite a few inches of lace off to hem my dress. Wonderful work!

I purchased my dress off the rack which I knew was risky and was terrified it wouldn't fit me right and knew I needed to find someone who could work with intricate beading and lace. From the moment I met Beteena I knew I was in the right hands! She is incredibly meticulous and a true artist with her work. There were even a few parts of my dress I wasn't crazy about when I purchased the dress and Beteena was able to turn it into the dress of my dreams!

Beteena altered my June 2022 wedding rehearsal dinner outfit and wedding dress and was an absolute JOY to work with. She is absolutely meticulous with every detail, and is committed to making sure your dress fits you perfectly and comfortably. I felt in such good hands with her and really looked forward to each appointment leading up to the wedding.

Words cannot describe how happy I was with the outcome of working with Beteena. I found her shop while I was looking for alterations for my wedding dress, and came across multiple raving recommendations for her on the Pittsburgh Bridal Community Facebook page. In terms of alterations, I was looking for my dress to be hemmed, add a bustle, as well as to have straps created for my existing strapless wedding gown. I was able to show her pictures of what style of strap I liked, and she was able to recreate exactly what I had in mind. When I tell you I literally fell in love with my gown all over again, I mean it. Working with Beteena was such a breeze - she was so friendly, always made sure I was comfortable, and being an out of town bride, was always able to make accommodations in her schedule for when I was conveniently in town to work on the dress. I ended up having her alter a bridesmaid dress for a wedding I was in as well after seeing her work, and really cannot recommend her enough.

Teena was a dream to work with. From beginning to end my dress was not only in great hands but so was I. She was literally like my fairy God mother making sure I was ready for the ball. Her work was on point and she made it easy for my bridesmaid to figure out and learn how to do the bus-sell. Teena does great work and I highly recommend her. My dress fit perfect and looked great. Beteena was absolutely amazing to work with! She did such a wonderful job on my alterations that the dress fit like it was custom made for me. Postponing my wedding due to COVID-19 led to a lot of big changes (like moving across the country) but Beteena went above and beyond by storing my dress and ensuring we had everything completed during the week I flew back home.
