One of our favorite spots when visiting Oakland!! So many choices!! We always find something for everyone!! Salads are fabulous!! Our daughter loves the steak wrap! Great burgers! Delicious pizza!! Lots of drink choices!! 🍻 Friendly staff!

My boyfriend and I definitely found a gem when we accidentally stumbled on this place after looking on the map for a place to eat on a bike ride through the city. This place was awesome! It was our first time here and everything exceeded my expectations. The waitress was attentive, service was quick, and our food was delicious and served hot. The menu is large, has very unique and funny names for the food, but best of all there are choices for any palate. The decor is interesting and the atmosphere is laid back and fun. I felt the prices were reasonable for the portions you get and the quality of the food. They also have a very large menu for those who like to have an alcoholic beverage as well. I ordered the meatloaf dinner, vegetable of the day, and sweet potato fries. Meatloaf was delicious, vegetables were very flavorful and seasoned well, and the sweet potato fries were crispy, fresh, and hot. I would definitely recommend trying this place out and we will be back!!

We tried the fire-baked Brie and the sweet Caroline pizza. Both were perfect and the price was reasonable. At first the Brie tasted weird, but we soon discovered that the mixture of different flavors in that plate was amazing. We also loved the pizza, thin crusted with tons of toppings. The combination of sweet sauce and jalapeño was impressive. Will come back next time for other dishes.

Ordered a BBQ wrap and pizza, both were delicious! The beer menu is amazing, and the service was great too. Portions were good sized, and it wasn't hard getting a table with a group.

We had dinner here after seeing Phipps Winter Flower Show on a Sunday in January. We ordered 2 different pizzas and shared them. The Flying Buffalo pizza was out of this world as was the Plain Jane with bacon! The crust had a perfect crispness to it! Our craft cocktails hit the spot, too! Our server was awesome! We'll definitely return!

This place is great!! We stopped in for lunch with a group of 6 after visiting the natural history museum. Despite it being mid-day, we were seated quickly and service was friendly, attentive, and fast. It seems like the target clientele is college students, but on a Saturday at lunch time, it didn’t feel too rowdy or loud to be able to enjoy a conversation with our family.

The menu has a wide selection of options without being overwhelming and we were able to find options that worked for everyone, including the vegetarian in our group. They have an impressive selection of whiskies, cocktails, and beer. We stuck to the beer menu with lunch and all the local selections we tried were quite good.

Great food, great beer selection. Great price!!! Service was outstanding as was the atmosphere.

No wait on a Wednesday afternoon but I sat at the bar anyway. I ordered the baked brie for an appetizer and it came with a honey drizzle. It was unique and delicious. I ordered the aporkalypse chorizo burger which came with bacon and a fried egg on it. This also hit the spot. I haven't seen a chorizo burger on a menu before but it was great. I ordered the sweet potato bread pudding to go as I love both sweet potatoes and bread pudding. That too was delicious. The place isn't that big and has mainstream dive bar vibe to it. Looks like a place for beer connoisseurs.

I got the pulled-pork BBQ sammich with smoked bacon & sharp cheddar and russet fries, while my friend went for the meat loaf platter with mashed potatoes & gravy, plus some excellent veggies.
I enjoyed a couple uncommonly good draft IPAs, while my friend had his favorite Yuengling.

I went to this place to eat while my wife was resting from having a baby at Magee hospital. What an amazing treat this was. I never heard of this place and found a gem. I was just walking the mean streets of Oakland, home of the Pitt Panthers and I ran into this place and decided to check it out. I decor in the place was fabulous for a gastro pub. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in and sat at the bar. I told the bartender I have never been there before and immediately started throwing suggestions out to me. I ultimately went with the pepperoni rolls as an appetizer and the ahi tuna wrap for my main dish. The pepperoni rolls were a highlight for me as they were delicious. But then I got to the ahi tuna wrap which had so much flavor and a hint of a tropical feeling to it. All of the workers there were very nice and it was a great environment to be in. I will definitely be visiting this place again when I am back in Oakland.

We stopped in to have a couple beers but decided to try their pierogies as well. They were delicious! The server was very kind as well. We'll definitely come back for dinner or lunch in the near future.

Pizza was great (no cheese vegan) and pesto chicken. Cream soda was like dessert and beer selection is crazy

Got the turkey burger. It was soooo good. So flavourful with rosemary and garlic and creamy smoked gouda. I finally found a burger that gives Burgatory some competition! Also, the sweet potato fries were the best I've had!

As expected a little busy but you can definitely still get in at night. By 11 they have very discounted foods and would highly recommend you eat there for a late night dinner. Great customer service and waiter.
Clean and spacious but also cozy feel to it all.
Food is above average.
A always safe appetizer to get is wings.

This was some of the best bar food I have in a very long time. Everything taste great, seasoned well, out in a good time. The on the lamb pizza taste just like a gyro. The fries were fresh cut and made to perfection. Great food! Even worth paying full price!!!

Everything about this place is wonderful. Shame that these recipes are going to go by the wayside because of a greedy landlord. There aren't many places in Oakland to get good beer, let alone good food to boot.

Fuel is an institution. I'll miss the Bayou Blues sauce, the sweet potato fries, and the chipotle polka the most. Devastated but glad to finally review even though they'll be closed in a week

F&F is a great little spot. I go here for lunch because of the cozy, also fun, atmosphere and decent food. Servers are nice and attentive, regulars seem to really like coming here which makes the place feel friendly (in Pittsburgh, a rare value). Also like:
-the big open windows on a Forbes side street give it a chill city vibe
-nooks for conversation in the layout (doesn't feel like a barn or a closet)
-the lack of bleach and vomit smell characteristic of most Oakland bars

Been eating here for years since my son went to Pitt in the early 90's. Food has always been great. Pizza is amazing. Had burgers this visit, simply delicious! Service was great, food came out quickly. Sweet potato fries are amazing.

Food was great. Is staff was friendly. Atmosphere was a little noisy But that's to be expected at a establishment that mostly serves college students. We sat in the lower level which was a little better with noise reduchin and loudest to have dinner conversation.

Been going here for almost 20yrs. Good place for normal Americana style food. Only thing I will say is that I think its time for a new menu or at least a few new items OR its that I've been there too many time?? Either way i recommend F&F if in Oakland. Drinks are good and they have a rather impressive beer selection. Don't let the small look from the outside full you, you have plenty of room away from the next table and they also have seating downstairs.
