Downey's House

This might be tucked in the back of a plaza and somewhat intimidating to visit after dark, but it’s worth the visit! The staff is friendly and they offer some interesting menu items, all that they make in-house.
Their pepperoni rolls were decent, but not the best I’ve had. But their stuffed hot peppers were definitely the best I’ve had; nice, spicy, and flavorful!
Atmosphere is somewhat basic, but it’s welcoming and they play the games on their TVs at the bar. I’ll definitely return!

This is a nice local bar and grill, we go fairly frequently. Menu is somewhat typical stuff, they have a few unique things. The rolls are amazing (especially the chicken bacon), and you have to try their wedding soup (upgrade your side, it's worth it)! Full bar, variety of domestic beers but also have a couple of rotating craft taps, usually local brews. Worth a stop! Closed on Mondays...that has tripped me up occasionally.

First time here yesterday and the food was excellent. I’ve wanted to stop in for a while now and I’m glad I did. The pepperoni rolls were excellent and so were the boneless wings. Not sure what wings they use but definitely the best boneless wings I’ve had in a long time.

Tuesday special - stuffed bell peppers are really good, definitely will be back when I'm in town again.

Food was really good. Tried the fried zucchini and the pepperoni rolls as that’s what they seem to be known for. Did not disappoint. Their red sauce was amazing. So so so good.. and the garlic ranch I got with the pepperoni rolls was great as well. Reasonably priced, nice staff. Plenty of parking. Good music. Can’t go wrong

Food was delicious and there was a lot for the price. The service was okay, not bad but not stellar and the waitress told us soup didn’t come with dinner even though it was on the menu. But that lead to the fish sandwich that the hubs enjoyed. Will definitely go back again. It’s a bar restaurant and there is dining inside and I think out. Don’t let that stop you. 5 stars for the food.

Downey’s House is a local spot with a LOT of charm and amazing food. The Italian rolls are early the best thing on the menu. Service is always great and the bartenders keep the place running with their excellent service and friendliness. T

We found this place based on Google search and it’s reviews when we were shopping out in Robinson. Wow, reviews aren’t wrong and what a great little place. Since we’ve found it and had tried it, we’ve been back 3Xs already and we live 35 minutes away! Service always great and the food is amazing. Great wings and their pizza rolls! Getting hungry just talking about them. Will be back soon! Excellent and keep up the great work team!

Wow, what a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. I had the Wedge salad with steak, excellent! Best meal all week. I travel a lot. Patrons were also friendly and fun to be around. Definitely I will be back.

Possibly the largest and best fish sandwich in the Burgh. Wait staff is always nice. probably dine here at least once a month and was our go to take-out for Lent.

The food here is wonderful everything is always hot and seasoned wonderfully. The service is outstanding the bartenders are hopeful and wonderful. I love the meatball volcano. The different style pepperoni rolls are wonderful as well this is a must go place.

Just come home from a wonderful lunch at the Downey House. This may just be the BEST spot for a lovely lunch with friends? A bridal or baby shower? You name it ! The atmosphere , the quality of the food and the amazing service gives this restaurant a solid A++++

This was my first time visiting. I was pleasantly surprised! The pepperoni rolls were beyond delicious! You can tell that they are freshly made. The garlic ranch is amazing too!!

We were tired of the main stream restaurants so I Googled for a family atmosphere place to eat near me and Downey' s showed up. My daughters and granddaughters piled in to the car for a girls night out. We loved the happy atmosphere, very friendly service and the best pizza ever. We will be back!!!

A fun neighborhood place to hang-out. You'd expect to see Norm on a corner counter. Very good and dependable food. Daily specials. Good fish sandwich.

Omg! Such good pizza, and the wedding soup was just about perfection. The pizza is almost as good as Fiori's in Brookline-- and that's high praise!

The service was super friendly. The cocktails were good and reasonably well priced.

The atmosphere is more sports bar and can be a little loud on weekends. I wouldn't go here on a Saturday night with a date you want to have a 'get to know you' conversation.

Ordered the stuffed banana peppers. Excellent tasting sauce, nice hot kick to the peppers, gooey cheese on top, and delicious tasting pork mix stuffing. Sat the bar, fast and friendly service. Atmosphere was pleasant, lots of regulars that were very friendly to a first timer like myself.

Good food in a casual atmosphere. Definitely not the nicest interior, but doesn't need to be. Had the pizza rolls which were excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Prices are very fair with some really good deals.

Someone told my husband about this restaurant and we decided to go. We both had a taste for fish and I will tell you that it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Hot, flakey, seasoned to perfection and down right delicious.
We will definitely be back.
