Antimarino Stadium

This is by far the best laid out high school stadium around! The parking is super convenient, the walkability is easy for those with disabilities, the bathrooms are right by the gate, and the concessions have better food than local restaurants. Furthermore, it is an easy walk up to the bleachers.

Went to Antimarino Stadium (Gateway High School) for a PIMBA Marching Band Championship Adjudication tonight to see my bff's daughter who is captain on the color guard.
It had been raining all day and mist if the bands had already performed by the time we arrived at 7:00 PM. After the band who was on the field at that time finished, they took a 15 minute break, only to announce that the competition was going to be moved inside to the Sports Complex (the high school gymnasium).
The stadium itself seems nice enough, although we got soaked in the 60 minutes we sat waiting then walking up to the gym. It was fairly large, but has seating only on one side.
As for the Hampton High School Marching Band...they did fantastic considering the more than 250 members between musicians, color guard and dance team members were basically now squeezed into a gym. (My bff's daughter successfully threw and caught perfectly an 8 spin with her rifle inside the gym within about 2 feet of her teammate and about 8 feet of the front row of spectators!)
Of course, scoring was now out because of everyone not performing on the field with their actual show as those last 4 bands in the gym basically had to perform an exhibition show. But, the staff of the stadium as well as the PIMBA directors made the only decisions they could under the circumstances.
Congratulations to all if the Marching Bands on a great job today!
