Duke's Upper Deck Cafe

Visiting for the first time on a lively Saturday night, I was promptly seated. Impressed by the extensive tap beer selection, the standout was the Mike Tomlin sandwich—truly excellent, with fresh, homemade-tasting bread. The heavily battered fries, though not my preferred style, were enjoyable. The main bar area was a bit loud, making conversation challenging, but the friendly and swift service compensated. Despite the noise, I'd gladly return on my next visit to the Waterfront area, a superior option compared to the nearby large chain restaurants.

Had dinner here before a show, I ordered the chef salad with ranch, it was delicious. The homemade ranch was yummy & the salad was a big portion (I love a big salad). My husband got the French dip and said it was very good. We will be back. Service was quick and friendly for as busy as it was.

Friendly service! Arrived at 6:28 received our delicious food and was out at 7:02. The best bread no matter the sandwich including the hot bread which is served warm with a nice kind of flakey crust. What a nice local gem! We will definitely come back to try out the pizza and shuffleboard

Amazing!!!! First of all they have Tots…any place with Tots has to be given a shot!

The food was amazing, I had the Pinkerton (gotta love a place that has named foods that align with the area) and it was absolutely delicious! Everything at the table looked and tasted amazing (per the people who ordered it) and I would go back in a heartbeat!

The service was tremendous, with no wait and no pressure to order anything or to move quickly.

Only thing I had any issue with was the light coming in from a side window was blinding and there were no curtains. Outside of that it was 100% deserving a return visit.

Fantastic experience, food and service was above and beyond. Seating / tables are a bit close, but the scenery is beautiful. Pretty inexpensive too for a quick dinner date night

Reserved deck area for a meeting/working dinner. Meal was very enjoyable. So much more I want to try on the menu, so will go back. Not the best meeting space, though. Lots of noise echo and not all of the wall plugs were working for chargers. But that won't keep me from eating there again. Food was delish!!

I’ve been going to Dukes my whole life! Always a great place to meet my family for dinner, get friends together for drinks or a quick stop on my way home from work! The people are great, staff and customers. You can’t go wrong with any of the food on the menu and they always have an amazing draft menu. My go to is hot garlic parm or mild and wild sauce for my wings!

Good food and drink at great prices. Friendly bartenders and waitresses. A pretty decent happy hour and daily specials. Happy hour is 5-7.

Parking available for free in the back and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Bathrooms aren't really accessible though.

First visit. Place seems huge however only saw the bar and sat outside on the lower level. Had the special which was the summer salad and I added chicken and drinks. Delicious! So many good things to choose from on the menu. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The only issue I had was parking. Arrived around 6:30 on Wednesday and a small parking lot was full as was all of the on-street parking in front of the place. Parked about half a block down. Not knowing what time they check the meters, put money in the meter it takes quarters. Highly recommend a visit I will definitely return as I would like to sit on the upper deck next time.

First time going to Duke's and it was great. Portions were good, wings were good and the kid's menu spaghetti was loved by our 8-year-old. We'll be going back for sure!

LOVE their draft list and how many local beers they have. Food is great. It was super busy but service was still fast

This place is a must visit! A total hidden gem! The pierogie pizza was amazing and the appetizer sampler platter is way better than you would expect. The have an actual shuffle board game outside and the choice of outdoor seating both on top of the upper deck and below it out of the direct sun.

Seriously, I think this is gonna be a place we visit on a monthly basis. It'll take us a dozen more trips just to try all the unique craft beers they have on tap!

The resturant had great atmosphere. All the staff wore masks, plexiglass was placed between booths. The food was 5 star with big portions. Our waitress, Holly, was very attentive, kind and answered all our questions. Overall, for a first experience was great. We will return.

Food is delicious whatever you order grilled chicken salad the Korean bbq boneless wings are amazing the potato soup is to you can’t lost coming here ordering to go to eating there they are always busy but fast and friendly

Had the black bean burger with fries, very good. My wife had creamy potato soup which was in her words "disgusting" think whipped cream with bacon bits on top. I was disappointed the waitress didn't recognize that she only had a few bites.

Bartenders are always polite , salad is good came with eggs and fries and everything good . Drinks are great . A vibe

Came into Pittsburgh late and needed some dinner. The waitress was very helpful and the french onion soup and Ruben sandwiches were very good. We would definitely go there again.

My family had my daughter's Slippery Rock graduation party here last Saturday. They could not have been nicer! We had great seating on the patio; our waitress was amazing and took fabulous care of all 14 of us; the appetizers, food and drinks were delicious and tasty; and the bill was insanely reasonable. We always love Duke's for a casual dinner, and now we love it for special occasions!

Great food, our server was great, but Polish Hammer..Damm that was good!

Can't wait to go back. Great ciders on tap and great appetizers
