Very nice place with fantastic service and great food! I have been procrastinating stopping here for awhile now and am glad I finally did. I was welcomed by a cozy atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. They are also not lazy as the place was decorated very nicely for Halloween. The person that waited on me was very pleasant and helpful. Without asking she also brought out samples of their sauce with fresh bread to help make a decision. The sauces are tomato based and in my opinion very tasty and well thought out. This is Mon Valley BBQ as advertised. Please ignore the less than perfect other reviews from customers who didn't do their research before ordering. The sauces are very good. Everything I saw and ordered was cooked with love over a indoor wood burning open pit. The smells emanating from this place have always been and were amazing. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and ghost pepper fries and am very impressed with the quality. Also the prices are very reasonable considering the portion sizes. Do not eat breakfast before coming here! You will not leave broke or hungry. Please stop in and patronize this wonderful business. I will be back practically every weekend moving forward!

These are the best ribs around. That sauce is fantastic and the ribs have so much meat on them. If you like barbecue this place is a must!

This is my new favorite bbq. My fiance and I stopped on a Saturday afternoon and we were treated like family. We were blown away by the food. It was excellent. Their sauce is amazing. Everything is homemade. Highly recommend.

If you like Mon Valley BBQ sauce this is the place to go. Tomato based sauce with a kick. I'd recommend mixing the Sweet & Tangy with either the mild or hot sauce. Try a platter to get a bit of everything. If you're a Turners Tea fan they have plenty on hand to wash down all the delicious BBQ. Service can get overwhelmed when they get busy and everything is cook-to-order so you may have to wait a bit for your food but it's worth it.

Rib cage was a great discovery for my wife and I. The pork chops were huge and perfectly cooked. It was the best potato salad I have eaten in years not to mention the mac/cheese. Definitely going back.. (soon)

It was really busy Surprising they had everything ready in 35 minutes. We ordered a lot and everything was perfect . It don't matter what you get you'll be 💯% satisfied I give them a 5 star rating!

Love This BBQ....Food is Fresh made to Order how you like it The BBQ sauce is not Sweet !! its Tangy and Tasty....They do offer a Sweet and Tangy if that's what you like. The Staff is Awesome and HATS OFF TO THE COOK Great Job👍

one of the very few places like this left . It's near impossible to find grilled/bbq'd pork chops anywhere anymore . I'm from Mon City but have been in Virginia since the early 80's . Everytime I'm "back home" I stop at the Rib cage to take a few days worth of chops back to Virginia to eat for several days ! The best around !
reading the negative comments ..... they just don't know . They probably think McDonalds have good hamburgers and pizza hut has good pizza too .

Chicken, burgers & fries, ribs and philly steak popular in my house. Everything always great. If you haven't tried this place well you dont know what your missing! Sometimes a wait but worth every $$. Lent season very popular, best fish around in my eyes! Give them a try you will not be disappointed.

This is My favorite BBQ of all time !! Mon Valley sauce ain't for everyone , it is not sweet like everyone else is. I live in Ohio and try to make it back home at least every 2 months just to get some ! Someone said 'tomato paste' sauce and another said 'Marinara sauce' , I call bullshit ! Mon Valley sauce is a unique and complex blend of flavors , that ain't available anywhere else . Everything that I ever ate here was great , especially the Pork Steaks . Yum , I'm feeling like another road trip !

Great place. The portion size is large and the quality is fresh and homemade. Every order is made to order no food sitting around here.

OMG Excellent BBQ! I got the 1/2 slab of ribs and my husband got a couple of chops. The portions were so big that we have dinner for tomorrow as well... and they certainly don't skimp on the sauce. I highly recommend you give it a try... I guarantee you want be disappointed

I imagine that this is what every other rib joint tries to aspire to and fails. A small family-owned business where the cook absolutely, positively is on top of his game. If you're looking for a real treat and smoked meat you need to come here and check them out.

The history behind the sauce is enough to make me want to go back. The strong cultural influence decades ago contributes to how they currently make their sauce ... with a heavy tomato flavor, this tradition continues in the Mon-Valley today.

Literally the best. We wait in anticipation on Fridays at work to oder for lunch. Best fried mushrooms you'll ever have. Fries are better than potato patch.
