UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital

Am still here in our post delivery room writing this review, and to start this hospital and it’s staff are amazing! My daughter was just born April 9th Easter Sunday with a small hole in her heart, and the care and love that goes into the patients and family from every member of the staff will never be forgotten. Our baby girl came into the world at 2pm today and is cute as can be 🙏😄 Shoutout to the Emily Duo that took care of us in LD3! And to all the other nurses, doctors, and staff that made this an even more unforgettable experience. Much love and thank you again for the hospitality you show all of your patients, We love you guys!

Very pleasant experience. Came to the ER for lower right pelvic/abdominal pain. I was in and out very quickly. Tests and labs were done and I had an answer within 2 hours. The nurses were all super nice and accommodating.

I had to be admitted at 32 weeks and had my baby girl prematurely and I have nothing but amazing things to say about this hospital. The nurses were so compassionate and encouraging when it came to my health and the baby’s care. I honestly can’t thank them enough. I wish I could give ten stars!

My midwife Johanna and my nurse Gianna were an absolute unit delivering my baby. Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Can’t thank those ladies enough. I will never forget them and I hope for the next babies I have I can see them again.

Dr Courtney fleissner and the rest of the ladies did an amazing job on my c section. They were much more helpful with teaching me aftercare than my last c section experience in Virginia to where I had an infection last time. Thank you!!

I have had 2 experiences at this hospital and both times were very pleasant-as hospitals go. There is a person from the building maintenance department who was on her way to lunch and stopped to help my father. She went searching for a wheelchair while her lunch got cold. What an angel! I think her name was Carol. We need more people in the world like her.

I have nothing but great reviews for the staff,nurses and doctors at Magee. Everyone was so compassionate. My daughter had a rare infection and lost the baby. Dr Tiffany was amazing, so kind, knowledgeable and compassionate. The nurses were wonderful. I didn't know there were so many non profit services for bereavement! Thank you to all who were there helping Heather and Cody. I hope the staff sees this post.

I have used Magee since 08 which is when I birthed my preemie daughter. NICU was amazing and so was my after care. Fast forward to now, I’ve recently had to have three surgery. Their team of highly skilled doctors found the issues when others dismissed and sent me home! The staff are also the most friendly people I’ve encountered in a hospital setting. I had not one but multiple doctors stop by and ask me about my condition and if I understood the approach they were taking. The hospital is an hour drive and I’ll choose to take the ride in order to receive proper care at this hospital !!!!! Thanks to everyone at Magee for making my surgery experiences the best they could be.

I would like to thank everyone at magee who made me feel so welcomed during my pregnancy journey..red unit team .yellow unit team .they are the most caring people .Marissa and Shannon my social workers who were always there to assist me ..I love these ladies. Maria who was with me in LDR14.. MY DOULA AND HER ASSISTANT I'm sorry I can't remember their names but these ladies made me feel so relaxed I wanted to take them home with me .ANGIE my superstar and also the other ladies who took care of my baby and I in room 3836..can't remember everyone's names . Nehlah was so warm and friendly .BILl from transportation was amazing.the people who prepared the meals were friendly and the servers also. A big thank you to rayon who helped me get into the taxi...thanks everyone this place is amazing..10 stars to all of you

My wife received excellent care here and therefore decided to continue her healthcare through this hospital.

I can’t thank the wonderful staff of Magee enough after a big scare over the weekend with an episode of bleeding at 34 weeks pregnant and placenta previa. My husband and I were so unsure and terrified of what was going to happen and if our baby boy would be okay. Every single person we encountered from techs to nurses, to housekeeping to doctors, were so incredibly compassionate, kind, and informative every step of the way. I wish I had everyone’s name to thank them all individually, but the list is just too long. We’re scheduled for our C section on August 13th and I would never get my care anywhere else after such a positive experience with Magee.

I am currently 37 weeks pregnant and the care I have received from several departments at this hospital so far has been some of the best care I have ever received. I highly recommend using the Midwives at Magees to any expecting mother.

Took a friend to the ER just now and the front desk employees were SO helpful and kind. Got her back as soon as they could and very nicely.

Had a very beautiful birth experience here. The doctors and nurses were very understanding and made me feel safe while I brought my baby into the world. The nurses were amazing and had such great personalities, would love to give birth here again.

My daughter had a surgery here last month and I have nothing but good things to say. Everyone was incredibly gentle with my anxious adult child, explained things thoroughly and even took time to talk with us and form connections before we entrusted them to operate on her. Nurse Gabby was a sweetheart.

Without question, this hospital has provided the highest quality medical care that we have received in our 7+ years of living in Pittsburgh. Regardless of all the myriad challenges that come with the standard hospital environment these days, all the staff members have routinely treated both my wife and I with such tremendous human compassion and medical competency. It's thanks to this hospital that my wife was referred to doctors that have gotten her on the right path to wellness that was just not possible at other hospitals (particularly non-UPMC hospitals...looking at you, Allegheny Health Network!).

If we lived closer we'd chose this facility for all of our appointments and birth. The staff were super sweet the whole time. My only complaint was that parking was a nightmare. It took us a half an hour to park, making us late for our appointment. A sweet security guard saw us running late and let us in with him instead of having to go around the building. We were a total of 20 mins late and they didn't cancel our appointment on us. The staff were understanding about it, and we went through with our appointment.

This hospital is the best hospital I ever been too. I am in recovery and they have the best outpatient clinic where the nurses and staff all care about you and what your going through. I also have a social worker there and she is amazing goes beyond to help me out with resources and guidance. Also I had my son there and they saved me and my baby's life. Best care I ever had having a baby I definitely will be going back here if in the future I get pregnant again. All I can say is number one hospital in my book I do not go anywhere else.

We recently delivered our baby girl at Magee and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The nurses in the labor and delivery area are the most caring and nicest people. Shawna was our nurse during delivery, and her expertise and patience made for the best possible experience. Dr. Ravasio delivered our daughter, and again so personable, caring and professional. Once in post partum, Adrienne and Julia were so helpful and attentive to our little girl and us! Thank you for everything!

Best of the best in hospitals!! Not one bad interaction from entering the lobby to departure. Surgeon Dr Karla Bernardi is first class. Super clear communicator, not in a rush, genuinely shows care for the patient. Keep up the great work!!
