During my mother's stay at this facility. The staff made us feel welcome and supported. The facility itself was clean and comfortable. The wound care nurse Alison Cole used her professionalism to help us through this difficult time, especially by providing us with support and resources. I would highly recommend this facility.

My brother was transferred from Sewickley Hospital to PAM. Was nervous after reading all the bad reviews, but let me tell you the staff is phenomenal. They were all so helpful and very knowledgeable. The pt crew helped my brother to walk again. With all the awesome staff, my brother recovered quickly and is doing soooo much better because of amazing staff.
Thank u PAM Health for making my brother well again!

The entire staff from reception to Drs I was given utmost attention to all my needs. Very thorough with any need. The nursing staff caters too all your needs with urgency and stop to listen to your questions and talk you through your fears and concerns. I feel very comfortable with all departments knowing they listen and are proactive with your care plan. I am pleased with my stay and extremely pleased with PT and OT therapy. I am on the road to recovery. A big Thank You to the entire staff at Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh.

My 83 year old father received excellent care at Cura Health!

Before he arrived, he was told he would "not be able to be weaned off of the ventilator". Well today he's ventilator free and being discharged!

We first met with the director Carol and she told us about their excellent success rate. She is very knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome.

Olga is another wonderful staff member that made sure the transistion was smooth and easy.

We loved working with case worker Jeff!! He's very friendly and easy to talk to. Any time we needed anything, he was quick to help and kept us informed. He also helped us with dad's next placement.

Nurse Justin and nurse Marcy are wonderful! My father really loved having them care for him. It's very obvious that they care about their patients and go out of their way to care for them. We will miss them for sure.

PT Anthony is by far the best therapist my father has ever had! He was able to get my father to walk, and for that I'm eternally grateful! I wish I could take Anthony with us to our next place!!

RT Mike was also very friendly and kind. He made sure to keep the trachea clear and working properly.

Security Jim was always a smiling face and a kind word. Even on weekends and late at night .
Environmental helpers Mary and Adam we're especially kind to my father. They had a wonderful time talking with him while they were cleaning his room.

We loved Cura Health and would gladly go back in the future!

Excellent care - all of the nurses and aides were exceptional in their ability and attitude. They made me feel comfortable and well cared for. If I were to point out any shortcoming, it would be that it sometimes felt as if the unit was slightly understaffed when there was a longer then usual delay in answering a call button.
The therapy department is first class. The therapists have such a positive attitude and know how to motivate their patients. The only issue I might have is with dietary. The department does not seem to consistently follow through with the information patients give them. Some of the food was inedible.

Overall, Kindred is an excellent facility, and I would recommend them to anyone.

1st of all, if I could give CuraHealth 10 stars I would. My father has had multiple health issues over the past 5 years, which made him end-up in a lot of hospitals in Pittsburgh. During some of those visits he had to stay for a few days here and there. CuraHealth demonstrated more compassion and care than the "big" hospitals. CuraHealth in Oakdale showed my father and family members so much care and respect it was almost to good to be true. My father stayed there about 10 days and the entire staff from security, front door screener, food servers, janitors, aids, RN's, LPN's, respiratory therapist, wound care team and doctors were unbelievable. The effort they all demonstrated to make my father comfortable and also help ease our concerns was tremendous!

I recommended that my grandfather to this facility, because my wife Holly Taibi works there and she would be able to keep an eye on him for me. Also they have a very good review and the patient care that they provide is amazing. The staff was very caring , thoughtful and kind, and his nurses were great especially Deb L. and Lauren D. His case manager Janeen G. was really great and caring. She took her time and explained everything to us about what was going to happen with his stay. Dr. Shetty and Dr. Alagar are great doctors, and they took time with the family to explain what their plan was to get him better. I am going to recommend Kindred to everyone I talk too. Excellent care was provided.

I recommended that my husband grandfather John Taibi come to this facility, because of the Good Quality of Care. He was having a lot of respiratory issues as well as heart problems. He was very nervous coming to a hospital that he was not familiar with, but with the help of Ken Keefer he decided to give it a try. His first day there he was treated very well. Merri Conway was his admitting nurse that evening, she was very helpful and took her time explaining everything to him. His call light has been answered in a timely manner, the nurses and aides have been so good to him and his family. I will say that the nurses Deb, Jennifer B., and Lauren D. have been so wonderful and very helpful. Dr. Alagar and Dr. Shetty have given excellent care and has explained everything in detail to us. We can not Thank them enough! the case manager Janeen was very helpful too. I will recommend Kindred Hospital Oakdale to everyone. They made sure his stay here was very pleasant.

To the wonderful staff at Kindred,

Today marks the end of 38 days of impeccable care that our Dad has received at Kindred Hospital. We couldn't be more appreciative of our Case Manager, the Respiratory and Physical Therapists, and the team of Doctors caring for Dad. We can't thank the 6th Floor Nursing Staff enough for their tremendous care, always answering questions and sometimes just taking the time to talk with us.
We would highly recommend Kindred Hospital. Although it is unfortunate to have someone you love need an LTAC, we are so thankful for Kindred, and every single one of you!

Thank you to the staff at Kindred Hospital for helping me to get well. I've been very fortunate with my recovery and the support that I received has been tremendous. The nurses have kept me comfortable and responded when I called. I liked joking around with them, though they may not have thought I was funny, always laughed with me. Their smiles were so pleasant to see everyday. Maa and Tatiana were so caring. Tatiana was very attentive with my kidney doctor, she wanted to have all the details of my condition and progress. The nurses aides checked on me frequently, Nerissa and Nancy put up with me and my antics.
Housekeeping is top notch, Mary and Nina kept my room spotless. They also took the time to get to know me.
I began Physical Therapy within the 1st week and could not walk well. I quickly realized who was boss and the team (Sandy and Anthony) had me walking with out support within weeks. I walk down the hall and outside daily. Sandy always has an eye on me wandering if I'll try to run,
but I keep coming back.
The food is good, even though I'm on a restricted diet. With all the monitoring and therapy my weight has dropped and my sugar is good.
Everyone at Kindred made a difficult time easier and pleasurable for me. I feel like I have another family but I'm looking forward going home.
My deepest thanks and appreciation.

My husband Raymond was admitted to Presbyterian hospital on July 26th 2014 after suffering a cardiac arrest at home following heart surgery. While in Presbyterian he had many setbacks and it was determined that he would require more acute care. As a result, he was admitted to Kindred on September 5th 2014 and remained a patient until November 26th of the same year. While a patient there, he received outstanding care from the entire staff on the 6th floor and also the physical therapy department. I would also like to take this opportunity to commend the many physicians and specialists that cared for my husband during his stay. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone that is in need of acute care.

My son Walter was admitted to this facility on June 13,2014. From the moment we arrived, everyone has been courteous, friendly, professional and working toward what is best for Walter from the housekeeping staff to the medical to the administration. The CEO John Burton was especially helpful in helping me with all of the additional details that were necessary with an out of country admittance. I would definitely recommend this facility.
