Immaculate Heart of Mary Church

This was my favorite Catholic church of the several we visited in the Pittsburgh area because it's really beautiful and gives visitors a special feeling. It's old and has character. The only shame is that it's not accessible enough to accommodate the crowd such a big beautiful church should accommodate. I feel like this church should be a basilica. I love it!!!

Very impressive shrine. Everyone in Pittsburgh should visit and say a small prayer for everyone.

This is THE most beautiful church! Nestled in the neighborhood known as Polish Hill, there is a polish mass. I was happy to learn that Immaculate Heart of Mary Church will remain as a shrine and not be affected by parish merging. A very special service is held on Divine Mercy Sunday, which is always the Sunday following Easter. The Church is adorned with lights for holidays, and you will be delighted in this sacred space. If you are to visit only one church is Pittsburgh, this would be the one.

My husband and I are taking the opportunity to visit many of the beautiful churches of Pittsburgh and the surrounding area. We traveled about 15 miles to attend Sunday mass and were so pleased with the service and the extraordinary beauty of the church both inside and out. We will return before the Bishop decides to close many of these precious relics. I have heard from other visitors that this church is beautifully decorated for the holidays.

I made all of my sacraments here and always loved coming here in my younger years, I enjoy and LOVE the beauty and serenity and Gods presence all around me when I walk through the doors, my family history is strong in this church!! It is worth the visit!!

Best Flea market ever! Pricey, but very nice and everything was so very clean. Also the bake sale had the VERY BEST EVER "SWEET BREAD" made by the Dobie's Family. It was still warm when the Dobie's Family delivered it, YUM!!

I am not Catholic. However I did get married in this church. My wife is Catholic and when I do come to mass with her and her family. I love the holidays when the church is decorated up for Easter or Christmas.

Stunning church, gorgeous statuary that directs the heart toward the Lord. Great place to pray, make time to visit this church.

Absolutely breathtaking! The alter and the areas to pray with the statues. It has a relic of St. John Paul II. A must visit church!
