What a seamless experience during the most devastating moments after my mother's departure from this world to the next. The West family and team helped guide me through the process so well. The personal attention I received from the owner and staff was hands down better help than I got from the other funeral homes I contacted for information and pricing. Mr. Aldrich provided information I needed without the knowledge of knowing if he was going to get my account or not. He just felt I needed help and he reach out to provide it. Jada and Nicole are the sweetest and kindest ladies working this business and they took the worry and concerns out of my hands and I had to address nothing but peace, joy and a "Celebration" party for my Mother. I highly, highly recommend this funeral home for anyone feeling confused about what to do next for funeral arrangements for yourself or your loved ones. Its best to plan early for these things with West funeral Home. They take you through the steps to music, videos, resting options such as open casket, closed casket, memorial rental casket for service before cremation, full cremation(the option chosen) grave side service, or church service funerals. West funeral home does it all. Let them take out the "guess" work of planning a service and you can enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that your loved one is taken care of in the most respectful way. They also don't forget about you as the loved one who is greiving and they look after you as well in kind words and attention. What a wonderful family and a awesome staff. West Funeral Home was excellent at every step from my first call to explain what we needed to when their hearse left the cemetery. Aware, thoughtful, offering options, timely, adaptable to our requests: West Funeral in attitude and action helped us let go of our loved one in the best way.

My recent experience with West Funeral Home from May, 2020 through June,, 2020 was one of exceptional service during a period when I needed it for my late husband, myself, our family members, and guests. Karen West and her staff was the right choice for me and my family. She was professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Never pushy. Able to walk me and my family through the entire process always with care and concern. I gave her five stars because she earned them.

I give this funeral home zero stars. Ms. West is very cold hearted and disrespectful not only did she disrespect my deceased grandmother but my mother and sister as well by saying nasty and rude comments. My grandmothers body was not embalmed properly, the correct services were neglected. There is definitely more to the story. But I’m going to keep this short and sweet. Please if you love your deceased loved one’s don’t ever choose West Funeral Home in the Hill District. I can’t stress this enough.

My grandfather funeral was today and it was a horrible experience. I never been to a disorganized funeral before. The funeral home is very small and was in a terrible location. Karen was so rude and disrespectful. At one point in this service she stated i couldn't see my grandpa and i couldn't touch him but i did ANYWAY!! I would NEVER recommended this funeral home to anyone. If i could rate this on a one to ten scale. I would give it a ZERO. I am VERY disappointed.

If I could give this place a minus 100, I would. The woman was rude, didn't spell the deceased man correctly, actually physically tried to push someone who was grieving because it was 1 minute until the viewing was scheduled to be over. The following day, because of Covid, she was going to put the speaker on outside so we could hear it but when it didn't work, she locked the doors without giving notice. During the funeral procession, she stopped in the middle of Webster avenue to change car positions. Do not send any business to this disrespectful place.
