This year we had an enormous storm that flooded our basement with sewage and rain water.When we contacted Gene, he drove one hour to our home to assess the damage and worked endlessly with Traveler’s Insurance Co(Anthony) to resolve the problem.We we’re the first residents on our block to receive such quick action (thanks to being familiar with our agent,Gene,and the Colgan Agency!).It took 3 months for the repairs to be completed and we were happily compensated by Traveler’s because of Gene’s tenacity to be the BEST agent around.Thank you to Colgan Agency for working so well with our Traveler’s Insurance Co to go “Above and Beyond”!!!We realized how important it is to have a trusted and dependable agent to work on our behalf. Good Day. I wish to send this brief review and note of appreciation to the Colgan Insurance Agency and, most importantly Mr.Gene Svrcek. In December 2017, I had the misfortune of experiencing several pipes breaking from the cold weather and damage to my home from flooding. I have been a client of the Colgan Agency for my home and auto insurance with Penn National for many years and contacted Mr. Svrcek to explain the situation. He genuinely listened and helped me with the claim. I absolutely could not have completed the damage repair work, restoration and new kitchen remodeling without the help I received from Mr. Svrcek and the insurance company. Wow!! We got "MORE COVERAGE' for 'LESS MONEY'!
It started when a woman who answered the phone was extremely knowledgeable, helpful. and agreeable. I decided that if the company had the sense to put someone like her in the front office, they probably knew what they were doing and they did.

We have been with another insurance company for 30+ years. Within a span of 5 years,we had 6 floods in our basement and incurred huge bills replacing 3 furnaces, 3 waterheaters and washers/dryers. Needless to say, we were subjected to much frustration and great expenses.We were compensated with very little. The floods were a result of problems with PWSA when there were steady, heavy rain storms.Enough was enough. We contemplated changing insurance companies and agents.

After a referral from a friend who was so happy with her agent, GENE SVRCEK with Colgan Ins Co, we called Gene.He drove all the way from Donora to the city just to look over our situation and didn't complain about the inconvenience. Called for a quote and go a run around, I wanted a base quote and they wanted to look my information up which in case you don't know is a hit on your credit score. Don't be fooled it's the CAR they insure you are the risk factor do your homework when shopping new insurance.
