The people were very compassionate and made the experience less stressful. Norm even arranged a military service for my dad. In my opinion they go above and beyond to help the families. They are so much more than just a funeral home. They treat you like family and help you through the difficult process. Norm puts you at ease immediately and helps guide you through the decision making . They keep in touch to make sure you are doing well and need anything. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has lost a loved one

This is so much more than just a funeral home, they care for and treat you like family. Very informative and helpful with all the little details that you don't think about at this sad time for the family. Still checks in with us months after our father's death,looking for ways to help. I definitely recommend to anyone searching for a caring thorough detail oriented funeral home. This funeral home gives you all the support and assurance you need to get through the passing of your loved one and beyond. I Called them from the hospital when my dad passed away. They handled everything from making an the arrangements and picking up the body, to the paperwork needed after the funeral was long over. I never had to make a decision on my own. They answered questions before I knew what to ask.
My family chose a Celebration of Life. It was respectful, beautiful, and did indeed feel celebratory.
I would recommend them to anyone and suggest you use their services even if this funeral home is a little bit of a drive for you.

This funeral home and all staff I that I encountered in the viewing and celebration of life service for my husband were amazing. This is not the first funeral I had to plan. This was my first experience with Curran-Shaffer. Norm and all of the staff were professional and caring. They are outstanding. Losing someone very close to you and having to plan a funeral is very difficult to handle. Norm and everyone at Curran-Shaffer Funeral home were so helpful and very sympathetic. They made us all feel comfort and respected our wishes. They are still offering help with anything we may need even after the viewing. My family has been using Curran-Shaffer in Apollo for several years. Unfortunately we lost 4 family members within 4 years time which was devastating. Norm and the rest of the staff at Curran's were so comforting and handled everything with the utmost empathy and professionalism and allowed us to grieve while helping us start to move forward. Recently, my mom passed as well and I can tell you that knowing that Norm was right there to handle everything for me, making sure my mom's wishes were met, made an awful situation bearable. Curran Funeral Home is one of the most personal and professional businesses I have encountered. The staff was amazing, caring, and took care of all our needs. Our family really appreciated the support and compassion that we were provided during such a difficult time. We highly recommend their services.

My father passed away a few weeks ago, Norm and his staff made a difficult time time a lot easier for my family. The entire staff were extremely professional while making the arrangements. Our family decided to have a Celebration of Life for my father. Norm met with our family so we could share stories and memorable moments with him. The service he delivered had a perfect balance of humor, religion, and the stories we shared with him. Norm and his staff mad themselves available to our family before, during and after the service.They even surprised us at the end of the service with one of my fathers favorite things, a chocolate frosty from Wendy's. He has continued to reach out to our family to see how my mother is doing and to let her know that he is available if she has questions or needs assistance completing any paperwork. Thank you again for everything.

Everyone here took great care of us when my dad died late last year. They were so kind and respectful of his military service, even going so far as to wear red, white, and blue to honor him (everyone there did).

Cherylyn was the first person we met with, and she was kind and warm, and did not pressure us in any way.

Norman handled the celebration of life ceremony and really brought dad's personality to life. More than one person informed me that it was the best funeral they'd ever been to, which is not something I'd ever thought I'd hear!! It really was special and you could feel dad's humor in his words.

I cannot thank you enough for taking care of my family. It takes a special person to do what you do, and we are very grateful.
