The physicians and support staff at UPMC Penn Plum Family Medicine are extremely skilled, caring and compassionate. They truly want to do all they can, to help their patients. They are qualified and competent to treat the entire family- pediatrics, teens, adults and geriatrics. They will actually try to provide any necessary care, based on a patient's symptoms, instead of referring their patients to a specialist, for everything. But, in the event that a referral to a specialist becomes necessary, they will do all they can to try to get the specialist to see their patients as soon as possible. That way, you will be less likely to wait 6+ weeks to see the specialist. Also, these doctors will go way above and beyond, for their patients. That's why they've had evening and weekend office hours and same day appointments for over 2 decades, which is long before it became a widely accepted "new practice" in other local primary care providers' offices. And, they use video phone appointments, to enable patients to be seen, when getting into either office is difficult or ill advised, because it might expose their other patients to an infection. But, Penn Plum's nursing, office and support staff will do all they can, to help patients take advantage of all the ways they can fit an appointment into the doctors' schedule. Honestly, the doctors, nurses and other staff, at UPMC Penn Plum Family Medicine, are so wonderful that my entire family, both immediate and extended, sees one of these physicians. I highly recommend enrolling, as a patient, at UPMC Penn Plum Family Medicine, to anyone looking for a new doctor, who is part of comprehensive primary care group.
