I can't gush enough about what a terrific restaurant Asian Gourmet is! <3
Fantastic food, fair prices, very accommodating to vegetarian/dietary options, and the amount of food is more than far. Whether eating in or ordering takeout, I've had nothing but a wonderful, easy, and calm experience.
The sushi is bar far the best I've had in Vermont as far as taste, freshness, and price goes.
Their online ordering system is so simple and awesome to use.
And I cannot recommend their soups and noodles enough for when you are feeling under the weather. I recently was very sick and wasn't able to cook, so I gave their soup and noodle menu a try for a few days. I'm not saying their soup cured my chest cold, but I'm convinced it definitely helped my speedy recovery ;-D

My family of three went here for dinner while visiting the area on Memorial Day. The place was clean and reasonably quiet. It felt like there weren't many meal options, even though the menu was large, because the menu has a massive sushi selection. That said, the meals and the sushi were great; our waitress was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful; and we enjoyed our visit.

Having lived in Asia for many years, it was a welcome surprise to find this really good Asian restaurant doing a mix of Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. They are open every day, have a bar option with draft Sapporo beer - yes really good Japanese beer and plenty of seating. Service is friendly, fast and attentive. My family really enjoy this restaurant and have become regular customers

I have never ordered a meal here and not been completely satisfied with it. It’s actually my favorite place for Asian food. I love the bento boxes. Always fresh sushi.

Great food and service. My husband eats a lot of sushi and said this was some of the best he's had. I had the miso soup, and Katsu with rice, and they were delicious.

Great selection, reasonable prices. Service was friendly and efficient. Lo Mein and egg rolls were unremarkable but tasty. Shrimp with Lobster Sauce had visible pieces of lobster! Fried Calamari was just OK.

We love going to Asian Gourmet for fresh sushi. Its great quality and good prices. Friendly servers. Great drinks.

The food is a huge step up from the typical American "Chinese" restaurant. The staff is friendly and professional. My favorite Asian restaurant within a one hour radius. You won't be disappointed.

Hey...we're in central VT! If you keep your expectations low you will be pleasantly surprised by the sushi rolls at Asian Gourmet. Consistently good and as freshly unfrozen as any fish you'll get anywhere else. Always a treat and never disappointing

Dine in or takeout have ALWAYS been reliably good. Open on days many other Barre area restaurants are not; gracious service; fast when fulfilling orders; great consistency in the sushi or other dishes I like to get.

Food was fresh- actual fresh veggies!! - and delicious! We split the crab Rangoon’s, shumai, and sichuan shrimp. Portions were good, service was fast, table was very clean. Sapporo on tap is a bonus! We’ll be back!😄🍤

I love their sushi selection, I don't really like their meals though. Kinda feels like drowning in undercooked veggies. I love their appetizers. They also have a thai tea thats pretty good.
