I finally got to have a very taseteful delicious meal out. With my gluten and dairy free diet, I'm usually stuck with plain grilled chicken or a burger. But the chicken with bourbon bbq, red pepper cabbage, and potato fritters were amazing! And our server was so sweet. She took the time to go over the whole menu with me 🙂
I am definitely going back!

I've lived in the area my entire life, but only over the past few years have been going here. Wish I would have started sooner. The food is delicious, the deserts are to die for and the atmosphere is authentic. Service is attentive as well. This place is a true gem!

This was excellent! 2nd time coming here and everything was AMAZING!! I absolutely love the home cooked meals here! My personal favorite so far is the country fried steak and for dessert is the shoo fly pie!! Staff is very friendly and service was excellent! But seriously, my complements to the chef for the amazing food!

A must try if you want to try authentic pen-dutch cuisine. We had the pig stomach and the scrapple and both were memorable. The pig stomach was super good, familiar and warming. The scrapple was odd and must be something you grew up with to like, but try it anyways. The place was packed but the staff was complaining it was slow. When we first entered we were asked if we had reservations. At first this blew us away considering the "town" it was in probably had less people than an average high school, but once we ate the food, we totally got why reservations were expected.

The food was amazing 🤩 the staff was friendly. The service was fast. Everything about this restaurant was amazing. If you are in the area you should go!

What can I say that hasn’t been said. Steve and his staff are a gem. The food is scratch made and always great, at very reasonable prices. Save room for the delicious rotating desserts (rhubarb crumble, my favorite). The restaurant is a museum of PA Dutch culture as the former home of Johnny Ott, the great popularizer of PA Dutch barn star design. It doesn’t get more authentic than this.

If you are looking for a family style restaurant with good homestyle dutch cooking, look no further. The food is authentic and delicious! The service is extremely efficient, friendly and fast! The atmosphere is PA dutch setting... inside rooms with wooden floors and PA dutch decor! You have to come here and experience this for yourself!

Great atmosphere and good service! We only had dessert but it was delicious! We will be back to try a meal.

Just as they advertise. PA Dutch comfort food. Homey atmosphere, good coffee, family friendly and a total winner 🏆 amongst our group.
Country fried steak was great.

Pennsylvania Dutch cooking at its best, with friendly service to go with it. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles, topped off by a slice of shoo fly pie with a cup of coffee

The food and atmosphere were fantastic! I will for sure visit again. Their meatloaf was the best I've had in ages. And the deep dish blueberry custard pie was out of this world!!

While we didn't get to eat here, 2 women working at the restaurant showed us great kindness when we had an accident next to it. They brought us bottled water; refused to let me clean up the glass on their sidewalk; offered support & encouragement; & lent me tools to brush glass from my car. Thank you for your great kindnesses.

Going on a hike and going to this restaurant was one of the last things we did before covid, so we remember it fondly. Came here again for the first time in 3 years after a hike, and it was just what we needed! Got the meatloaf w/ coleslaw and potato fritters. The others got a country fried steak and a reuben sandwich. Everyone was very happy with their meal. The staff was very hospitable and friendly. This place has become part of our ritual now!

The food is very good. The atmosphere is spectacular! Very PA Dutch, the walls are adorned with beautiful hand paintings. You have to see it! The service is so friendly, too! We love this place!

Very tasty food.

The Eck is the place for great home style PA Dutch favorites! Service is always top notch and the home made desserts are so darn tasty. The crab cakes remind me of my mom's. And the lettuce with hot bacon dressing...omg! The best. We enjoy it so much!

One of those hidden gems you will not be disappointed amazing food very nice people.
Call ahead is highly recommended this place is small but fills up very fast.
The mint iced tea is to die for my kids are very picky and loved it. My only regret I did not take pictures to post. Thanks 😊
