We travel to Barre Vermont for Christmas with the family. We stayed at Maplecroft B&B. It was a very home like feeling staying there. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The owner Caryn is very professional, friendly and a great cook. We had a very delicious farm to table breakfast that was herb scrambled eggs with sausage patty, English muffins and fresh fruit. There was fresh OJ and cranberry juice, decaf or regular coffee, ice water, yogurt and homemade granola. Also offered was preserves, jam and jellies from local farms. We highly recommend staying here and we will be back again!

If you have the opportunity, definitely book your next stay in the Barre/Montpelier area at the Maplecroft! You will find an incredibly hospitable host, wonderful breakfast meals with locally sourced ingredients, very comfortable rooms with excellent amenities, not to mention the very convenient location - the Maplecroft has it all! We stayed here for the holiday weekend of 2023 and would love to repeat the experience once more! Cannot recommend this place enough.

I was impressed! Super comfortable, warm and quiet, Caryn is friendly, personable and a great source of information for the surrounding area. Hands down the best B and B we have stayed at. I cant say enough good about her.

Caryn is the BEST. We stayed in the suite above the garage (Robert Burns) and it is huge, with a full kitchen and plenty of supplies. If you're on Google like we were looking for a place to stay, you've found it. Breakfast was amazing and the whole atmosphere was perfect.

Our first time staying and it was a real treat. The suite (Robert Burns), was beautifully and tastefully furnished. The layout was easy and comfortable.

The old house is well maintained and updates and conveniences nicely blend heritage and modernity. We were personally welcomed and received a tour upon arrival.

There's a farm-to-table approach to the included breakfast. We were fortunate to be here on a "pancake" morning; the fresh buttermilk cakes and Vermont maple syrup were delicious and memorable.

We will definitely be staying again.

This B&B was even more wonderful than I had expected. The location is perfect. It's on a hill and only two blocks from downtown. Even though it is on a busy road it is surprisingly quiet and feels almost secluded in a way I can't explain. The room was wonderful and the shower was large. The bed was perfect and the view from our window was great. The homemade breakfasts were amazing. The ingredients were locally sourced and some of them are grown at the B&B itself. Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful. She made a binder filled with places to eat and things to do just steps away in town and in the surrounding area. We went to some of the places she suggested and they were all amazing.

Caryn was a wonderful host! Sho offered lots of suggestions of places to visit. Parking on the backside of the house. Rooms were clean and comfortable, coffee, water and other amenities were available to her guest. Great place to eat just across the street called Meltdown! You must go there!

Karen is a delightful hostess and cook! The house is so well appointed, our bed was super comfortable, and Karen's breakfasts are noteworthy. Plus the location is within easy walking distance to the downtown Barre district. Would happily stay there again

This B&B was much better than I thought it would be! The house is beautiful inside and out. The rooms are spotless, the beds are comfortable. The lady running the place is very nice and cooks a great breakfast that's different every morning. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Maplecroft Inn when visiting friends in the area. We found the establishment to be very welcoming and comfortable. Caryn, our host was very accommodating and helpful during our stay. Breakfast was fantastic each morning, as she prepared it from locally sourced products. The room was both clean and quiet as we enjoyed the area. I would stay there again if we are in the area.

Planned a last-minute, long-weekend trip to VT and I'm very glad I chose the Maplecroft. Caryn is a great host -- super friendly, very accommodating and cooks up a wonderful breakfast. The house is charming and has a private, spacious, apartment on the side, which we stayed in. Perfect location in Barre, right next to Montpelier -- easy for day trips to Stowe, Woodstock, etc. It was a perfect weekend and would recommend this B&B to anyone.

A wonderful bed and breakfast. The owner is accommodating and very helpful. She has nice private entrances and lots of parking for Vermont! Breakfast is fabulous and rates are reasonable. If you book your stay through her, you may get a discount instead of using Expedia. If you’ve never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, please start now. You won’t regret it!

The hospitality that the innkeeper Caryn extended to me was warm and gracious. The breakfast was amazing. The room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, and the bedding luxurorius. Caryn's recommendations for nearby restaurants and fun day trips to do in the area were spot on. I can wait to go back for my next visit to Maplecroft.

Carolyn, the owner, is so hospitable… she made me feel as though we were friends.

Location-wise, the grilled cheese place (tap house) across the street!!! Off the cheese!

The hosts were so sweet! This was my first bnb experience and it was top notch! The room was beautiful and comfortable. They use all natural, non toxic products for skin, hair and washing which I appreciate. Their environmentally friendly approach is wonderful. They provide a fantastic breakfast that can’t be beat! Probably the best surprise was the most beautiful music coming from the piano each evening (ending at exactly 9pm- most likely for the comfort of the guests). Breakfast was served at precisely 8am. Details are clearly very important to these hosts. Amazing experience!

I was on a business trip and decided to stay here. I was most pleased by the accommodations and the atmosphere. The owners also accommodated my early schedule to provide me a to-go breakfast each morning. My room was clean and the house has many amenities to allow you to relax. I would go on a long run each day around the surrounding neighborhood and would come back to a nice quiet room and relax. Distance in miles and not time, you're relatively close to anywhere you want to be in Vermont!

Found this little B&B on AirBNB, we ended up booking directly after calling them. The owner is so polite and cares about your stay. We even got a little gift on the door after returning from dinner. Best of all, breakfast! Be sure to make it down! They are practicing all physical distancing rules and cleaning. It was a great stay!
