The Velo Shop

Today, I took my Schwinn to be safety checked at The Velo Shop. It was the best decision I could make, not only for riding safety factors, but for my own self-confidence as well!

Instead of dropping it off and picking it up in a week or two as I expected, Don began checking my bike over immediately when I arrived - putting aside the bike he was actively working on. Don completed a thorough check of my bike in a very short time tweaking everything from my brakes & chains to how my handlebars sat. All the while, he gave me tips on how to work on some of these areas myself. I felt very certain watching his quick and knowledgeable actions that my bike was in good hands.

While checking out, I spoke to Becky about my concerns with my balance. After chatting for a few minutes, Becky asked to see what I looked like riding. With some trepidation, I got on my bike for the first time in over a year and started peddling. She gave me tips and encouraged me the entire time...and in a very short span of time, I was smiling and riding without any concerns about my balance. Becky gave me back my self-confidence! I cannot wait to go to the park and start riding.

I cannot thank Becky and Don enough for their time, kindness, patience, knowledge and passion for biking! They truly made me feel welcome in their high-end bike shop. I would without any hesitation recommend The Velo Shop and their team. They were amazing. I will be my go-to place for all my bike needs going forward.

I purchased a new 2018 Scott Genius 920 bike from the Velo Shop. I don't live in the area and was unable to see the bike in person. Becky at the Velo Shop answered all my questions and concerns regarding purchasing over the phone. She was professional, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The bike was shipped and arrived as expected in perfect condition. This bike is beautiful and I'm very satisfied with the service I received regarding my purchase. Had a bike fit done at The Velo Shop today…and all I can say is, AMAZING! Becky is so knowledgeable in all things bikes. I explained the issues I was having with my bike, and she was able to dial in the fit of my bike and shoes. She also does not just change things on the bike, but she explains the rationale behind why the change will be beneficial. I left feeling like I had a completely different bike from where it started. This fitting was worth every penny spent!

What an awesome shop! First of all, it's in a renovated 1790s barn - so incredibly cool to see hewn beams above your head. Becky is world-class, literally, and so friendly that you feel like you've been going there your whole life. I felt very well taken care of for my first triathlon bike fitting - already such an improvement over what I had before.
I also really enjoyed the company of the adorable shop dogs - Chelsea's belly and Chico's snores have a special place in my heart.
I will be recommending The Velo Shop to every cyclist I come across and will return whenever I need work done on my bike.

What a great experience! I brought my vintage Peugeot bike in for a tune up. It was having some problems and considering the age of the bike I wasn’t sure what could be done for it. They were able to bring my vintage Peugeot bike back into pristine riding condition! On top of all that, they are passionate about cycling. They took time to chat with me about professional cycling for nearly thirty minutes before I left! It was a great conversation and made my day! It’s always great to support places that have passion for what they do, and on top of that, provide a great service!

Highly recommend! Also, how cool is it that Becky is a former professional cyclist! Not everyday you get to talk to one! And talk about humble. One of the humblest humans I’ve ever met.

It’s wonderful going to a shop where the owner and staff are as knowledgeable as they are friendly. They have a great selection of bicycles, components, and kit. I’ll go back again for all of my cycling needs.

Great bike shop with very good customer service. Been bringing my bike over to the Velo Shop for over two years now. I have a Pinarello with Campy Chorus and I totally trust Becky and her crew to work on my bike. They have done an exemplary job for all my repairs, tunings, and tweaks needed. I think their pricing is very reasonable and service time is very competitive. I plan on continuing to use them even though they are 40 minutes away. I hope to one day buy a new bike and I would love to support Becky and the Shop.

Excellent service! Prompt and attentive. Had a tune-up completed by Becky and team over the summer. Great first impression - I left feeling my bike was in very capable hands. Results were terrific, not only from a mechanical perspective but indirectly provided renewed joy and inspiration with my classic Trek 5500. I had an awesome riding season and look forward to next! The Velo shop sets itself apart based off of Becky’s knowledge, background, drive and passion for riding which is inevitably received by each customer and keeps them coming back. Becky and Don go above and beyond to make sure you have the absolute comfortable, proper fit on your bike while being welcoming, down to earth and supportive to cyclists of any level. I have been racing motorcycles on dirt and on the asphalt since the age of 7. I have won a race or two and those that do always have a certain look in their eyes. My first visit was looking for a new bicycle for my wife that does triathlons. I looked Becky in the eyes and told her that she must be a racer that has had some success. She has that look in her eyes. Afterwards, I googled her name. I will never go anywhere else. Becky fit my wife on a bike and respectfully asked her why she used or did a few things. Becky then made a few suggestions that my wife followed and it made a world of difference. I found her approach very interesting and aware that somebody might have a type of permanent injury or something that could be an issue. Anyway, to make a long story short. Don’t go anywhere else but the Velo Shop and if Becky makes a suggestion you better follow it. Becky is world class racer and a world class shop owner.

A great shop! It's rare to see such a combination of knowledge, integrity, and focus on service. A friend recommended Becky Quinn's bike fitting process, which she did with great care and precision. Becky found my left leg to be significantly out of position, which she was able to correct, possibly preventing future injury. During the process, she answered all of my questions thoughtfully, sharing her extensive experience.

While there, I also had my bike serviced. I requested, and would have gladly paid for, a complete tune-up. But Al, their very experienced mechanic, told me that all I needed was a derailleur adjustment, and charged me only for that.

I dont think I have ever experienced better customer service in my life. After visiting several other shops in the area looking for my first pair of cycling shoes I was becoming discouraged due to having a wide/large foot for a female. Becky was unbelievably helpful, walking me through the different brands and styles that would work best for my situation. She even took the time to help me align and install cleats on my selected shoes. She also took the time to share some knowledge and I was more than happy to learn. It wasn't until I got home that I learned who she was. What a kind and humble human! I'll definitely be back.

Fantastic bike shop and worth a visit for any cyclist! My wife purchased a BMC Team Machine and couldn't be happier with the experience and service. Becky and Eric have a true passion for a successful business and it definitely shines through. Becky's expertise in bike fitting and her thorough explanation with each step of the process was a great learning experience for my wife. Very impressive attention to detail. Also, Allen is a top notch mechanic who was able to swap out handlebars in a matter of minutes. Overall great shop and great brands! We will be return customers. Highly recommended!!

So happy to have a shop we feel so confident using. We have recieved quick and quality service on all our bikes. They are very attentive to repairs and have completed repairs on the spot while we hang out. It is not everyday you find a shop who knows exactly what parts you need for racing and would never upsell to anything crazy.

My cycling posse drive 90 minutes to get service here. I set up everything over email in advance. Great stock of good bikes too. One of the few that carry brands like Scott and Cervello. Great communication and friendly, honest service. Highly recommend. Worth a drive from Northeast PA or even Philly.

Nice local bike shop. Had a bike fit done and was very happy with the results so far. I've not ridden enough since the fit to make a good determination, but I did a 100k without issue. So far so good. I will definitely be a return customer.

I used to have low back and knee pain anytime I rode farther than 30-40 miles. A bike fit from Becky was a game changer - the low back pain vanished over night and my knee pain was dramatically better. A few weeks ago I finished my first Ironman in Lake Placid. The bike is definitely the most challenging segment of that course, and I couldn’t have done it without the bike fit I got from The Velo Shop. Thanks Becky!!

This is a great bike shop! I went into the shop looking for a new triathlon bike & couldn't be happier with their expertise & service. Becky & Eric are so nice & very helpful. They are not pushy like other shops. I've never felt so comfortable in a bike shop. They are both caring & passionate about their shop & cycling. Amazing shop. We had been to another well known shop in the area for a bike for my son where the staff was rude and more concerned with the coffee bar than selling a high end bike. Becky at The Velo Shop along with her staff went above and beyond in fitting our son for his perfect bike including changing the pedals for some that were more 12 year old friendly. I highly recommend this shop and will never purchase from any other bike store in the valley.

The best bike shop I have ever visited! The people of the Lehigh Valley are very lucky! Becky, Eric and Allen have a passion for cycling that you don't find at other stores. After a few weeks of what seemed like dozens of emails with Eric (which he replied to each one within minutes) I was able to visit and test ride six or seven bikes. The entire staff cares about finding you your perfect bike, no matter if you are new to the sport or seasoned, they treat you with respect. It is absolutely worth the trip if you are in the market for a new bike. I ended up with the amazing BMC GF01.
