Golden City Chinese Restaurant

It was a bit strange the restaurant was empty on Friday for lunch. But hat was ok because the food was so spot on!
We had a party of 7 and had about 10 dishes. Everything came out fast, hot, and delicious.
It looks like they are set up more for banquets with 2 separate side with each having a stage.
I would highly recommend if you want Authentic chinese food.

Food has been great flavor and consistency. Love the golden fried chicken and the seafood dishes are so delicious (fried boneless fish, jumbo shrimp walnut salad, the lobster are some of my top favorites.

I come here anytime I'm in the area. Always delicious. Prices are decent as well for the quality.
Same person waited on me tonight as who was there last time a decade ago.

I used to go here as a little girl and young adult when I lived in the area. It was nice to visit it again when I was in the area. It's good when some things don't change, it was as wonderful as ever.

Food is great! Lots of options, not saying it’s the best Chinese restaurant, but does provide some authentic Chinese food you don’t normally find in nearby Chinese restaurants. Only thing not good is that a renovation seems quite necessary. The carpet feels full of grease and mold.

It make Authentic Chinese food from frog legs to shark fin soap the food is delicious.

This is restaurant gives you an old school 80’s vibe. Excellent choices.

One of my favorite old school Cantonese restaurants. Super authentic, with great seafood and desserts. My favorite dish overall though is the chicken and salted fish with eggplant clay pot.

Large restaurant with tons of seating, two stages . Food was excellent, absolutely love the Peking duck here. Fast service meals come with appetizer (duck sauce) and mini dessert (cookies n fruit). Place is my favorite for Chinese food.

This place is insanely popular for Asians to throw events and parties. I have been going here to eat and attend events my whole life of 18 years, and same with my parents and everybody else that are close to us. Don’t know if I would consider this place fancy to me? It’s basically my home restaurant! But the atmosphere is pleasant. The food is always cooked so well. The owner Mary is very nice and cares a lot about your comfort and satisfaction. It is pricey because they have a lot of seafood and everything is high end, but all worth it. I would recommend this place if you don’t want to be eating cheap Chinese takeout anymore. I will always love this place. Also a bonus that it is open late too.

Just stopped while in the area and picked up egg rolls and beef sticks, which generally aren't anything to judge a place on. However, this was not the case here. The gentleman at the counter was extremely friendly and nice. The egg rolls were huge and wonderfully tasty with homemade duck sauce. Then there were the beef sticks. These were the best I have had. Drenched in a very tasty sauce with loads if onions and peppers. I couldn't put the container down inside my truck. Also the outside of the restaurant is off the hook retro.

I moved to the burbs from the city. There is a huge difference in the quality of Asian food between the two. However, the owners of this restaurant had a place in the city and they brought the recipes with them. The quality is right on point and the price is inexpensive. The parking lot is plentiful and can accommodate large parties. In fact, they are designed for large parties such as a wedding. The service is phenomenal. They make you feel like you are VIP and take care of you with special attention. It's also great for kids or wheelchairs.

Authentic Cantonese cuisine that rivals and in many cases surpasses most Chinatown restaurants.
Have been dining here for over 20 years and have always been more than pleased.

perfect, excellent service and super delicious food with fair price

It was our first visit to Golden City. We loved it! The service was excellent. The people warm and friendly. It has all the authentic charm of my favorite restaurants in China Town. The food was so good!! We had the seafood wor bar and egg rolls. The best egg roll I've ever eaten. The shrimp was huge and in a creamy sauce. Cannot wait for our next visit.

They were very accomodating. We arrived at 12:30 PM. The left room had a party in progress. They stated take out only as they were setting up the right banquet room for a big party later that evening. We explained that we were a party of 8, so they let us dine in the big banquet room.

Delicious food here always. Been going here for over 4 years. Chinatown quality food without having to go to the city. Owner and employees are always very hospital, friendly and accommodating. Yes, the decor isn’t the best but the food more than makes up for that. Highly recommend!

When returned to Pennsylvania from New York, we couldn’t wait to order nine dishes at the Golden City Chinese Restaurant, including salt and pepper soft shell crab, steamed sea bass, crispy taro duck, Budas delights, and our children’s favorite mu-shu pork; fresh ingredients and the cooking technique are well mastered; various dishes have different flavors and tastes! Finally, the owner Mary generously provided delicious dessert taro tapioca soup and huge oranges. Although take-out is not quiet as good as dine-in, we all ate a lot, were satisfied and full! Thank you Golden City Chinese restaurant, Mary and Mr. Chef for this wonderful New Year's Day dinner!! Hope the pandemic ending soon and we will be back for parties and enjoy delicious banquets as we did.

My in-laws are visiting from Washington state. I haven't had golden city for YEARS buti remember amazing food. So we tried it. There is no dine in eating right now we drive 35 mins to get it. The owner threw in a bunch of extras because we ordered a ton. He's sooo funny and loaded our truck. We got home the food was still hot and delicious! My in-laws were super impressed! Thanks Golden City!
